I have had a beach club forever. I have made many relationships with the employees and they are always so welcoming. I like to switch off the north and south orem location. At south orem, there has been a young lady that has really caught my attention the past couple times I've been here but not in a good way. She is constantly talking over everyone in the store and making costumers feel uncomfortable. She's really pushy with sales and interrupts her fellow employees. She's shorter with dark brown hair and tattoos. I wish I knew her names but unfortunately I don't. I miss how things used to be. read more

I've had a membership with this guys for a few months now. I pay for the biggest package so almost 80$ a month. I was waiting for my new debit card so I went in and paid cash for the month. I was told it was good until the following month. However when I went in I was told I had to pay it again. So now I've paid almost 150 for a month! You would think that when you pay they would tell you how many days left for the month you have and prorate it. What a joke!! Extremely slow and immature staff. Didn't treat me like a customer at all. Complete brats working the front counter. When they quoted me 15 minutes to wait and i waited twice that, i went to ask them why it was taking so long and the girl patronized me and basically told me to wait my turn... I had a Groupon so I wanted to try it out and see if I like the beds. The girl kept pushing for a monthly membership. She said I should save my Groupon and do the highest bed today because it was free then at the very end saying, but oh you'll have to pay $80 on the first after swiping my card! Like what?! Very misleading. I told her THREE multiple times I just want to do the Groupon today to see if I like the beds. Very pushy. There is a clickiness atmosphere and if you look a certain way then they'll be nice, other than that I get a very stuck up vibe. So I've already cancelled my membership within a day. read more

The staff is way too pushy. I understand that they get commission for sales. I used to go to palm beach and they were the same way, but they knew when to stop. I was insulted by one of the girls there. She said the lotion that I had purchased (which was over $80) was low budget just because I didn't get it from them. I can't go in without being rude, because they won't shut up until I am. I would recommend another tanning salon that doesn't insult you and harass you about spending as much money possible. read more

I'm from Portland and am in Provo/Orem on business. I purchased the diamond package and have not been in once when there is not a wait time of an hr+ to use a diamond bed. No matter what time of the day I went. And what was sad is some people actually just sit and wait around like that is in any way ok. I'm not sure if they just have no where to be but I do and I cancelled after a month of this. It's sad to see business conducted like this. read more

Super friendly staff, awesome beds, and great deals on tanning packages! Love this place. I buy my luminary lotion from amazon for 1/3 of the price they sell it for in the store, but they always have good sales on their lotions and tans. I would highly recommend this location. read more

I have a mystic membership here and I like it. Don't get the lotions here; I order the same accelerator on amazon for a fraction of the price. But that's business and I understand that. The one downside that really annoys me is the wait for mystics can be out of control. Sometimes it's 45 minutes. If the Mystic is that popular, they should consider putting another one in. read more

The equipment is great; The beds, the lotions offered its great. Don't let the clickiness of the staff influence your choice to return. I have been coming to beaches for two years and I've just learned that if I look past the clickiness of the people at the front desk, I will get the best tan around; and trust me I tried several places before sticking with Beaches. I recommend going with the unlimited monthly plans, but if you are just trying it out they have a nice happy hour from 10-2, Tuesday- Thursday that allows you to try all the beds at an extremely reasonable price. Just remember the people at the front desk make commission off of sales, so they can be pretty pushy. All of the positives outweigh the negatives and that's why I still go. I promise that nice golden glow is worth it. read more

WORST EVER! I would leave them a big 0 if I could because they don't even deserve the 1 star. I have worked in many leadership positions and know what sales is like. These people just want your money. They leave out information while going through the "5 points." I would've have literally had to cancel my membership the same day I signed up to not get charged for the following month...but they didn't tell me that! They say there is no way they can refund me because they went through those "5 points" with me and handed me the brochure. Again I have worked in leadership positions and I know there is a way to go around it to make your costumers happy and want to come back. Save your money and don't go there. read more

They have great prices but every time I go to use their diamond beds I get burnt. I was just at Golden Tan a week ago and I did 12 mins in the high pressure bed and wasn't burnt at all. It was so nice! Then I came here a week later, did the high pressure bed for 10 mins and I am FRIED! I even was wearing SPF 35 sunscreen. I'm not writing this to give them a bad review, I am writing this to make you aware that if you go here, be careful! This burn is bad and I don't wish is upon anyone! Something is up with their beds here. This isn't the first time this has happened. This location always burns me. The one in Sandy though is totally fine. read more

these employees need to get a grip on how to treat their customers with respect. this has happened multiple times and i'm fed up. every time i go into a beached tanning center every employee treats me with so much disrespect, being rude, judgmental and more. Each time i've gone in ive either had a free coupon to tan or i'm going in for just a day pass cause i don't need to start a membership NOR do i need to start one even tho i can 'freeze' and 'unfreeze' it. that's too complicated. but each time i want to go in and just pay for a day i am SHAMED for what i'm doing and told that i'm an idiot for doing it that way because i'll see 'no results' and it's 'pointless'. i've been before and after a couple days of tanning i see results. i don't need some 16 year old orange white chick to tell me that what I WANT TO PAY for is idiotic. There's a serious line that they employees need to learn to not cross. there's a point where you cannot push a customer over the edge just to make a better sale when they are wanting to already pay you for something different. YOUR CUSTOMERS CAN HAVE VALID OPINIONS TOO. Don't diminish that or you will continue to lose customers or continue to scare people away because they are too afraid to go into your salon because they know they will be pressured by your ridiculous employees to spend more than they have to spend. You guys need to tone down your salesman type of personalities and maybe try acting like a real human being instead of trying to make one more sale. read more

The beds are clean and top notch, the atmosphere is relaxing yet fun and hip, the products sold are the best, and the services are varied and suitable for just about every tanner out there! Not to mention that the staff is fantastic- Gage was so attentive and helpful when I was trying to figure out which tanning route to take before a big trip to the beach- everyone is very friendly. 5 stars all the way. read more

The beds are good and it's clean. Only thing that is really annoying is the staff they're nice but they are WAY too pushy about upgrading to a better bed and they are always trying to get me to buy lotions and stuff even when I say no about 3 different times. I've been tanning there for about 2 months now and every single time I come in they keep bugging me to spend more money and it's super frustrating when they can't take no for an answer. I really liked the staff. They were very welcoming. It was my first time getting a spray tan and they walked me through it. Tiff was really great about explaining all their services. I think I would do a tanning bed next time. My hands are orange and I have weird lines and spots. I probably will go back because the staff were great. I just don't like my spray tan. It's kinda splotchy, I guess? There's light color splotches on my back and thighs. It's not what I expected. read more

The beds are fine, nothing noteworthy. The staff, however, is completely inept. Today was the second time this month that I have gone in and checked in, only to find out after waiting 15 minutes longer than I was told to expect, that I was never put on the list. A total waste of my time. The girl checking me in today seemed new, so I can almost give her a pass even though it is a simple job, but last time it was a girl who has been here for a few months at least. I've been going to Beaches for a few years now. The employees always remember my name, and always start conversations about me and genuinely care. Sure, some girls will push a lot in sales. But overall, most of the girls/guys that have worked there have improved on their sales skills and don't come off as pushy so much. I think it's more of the new employees who are just trying to learn, and then they calm down and get to know their customers and realize that there's a big difference between being "salesy" and consulting. The bulbs are always changed at half life so I'm always able to get a nice fresh tan. As for the spray tans, they look so natural!!! Different colors they choose to customize for your natural skin tone. They are very great at keeping their salon neat and clean. It does tend to get pretty busy during happy hours but they're usually very quick and in order with people getting in to tan. 5 stars for this company. Hands down, favorite tanning salon out there. read more

I love Beaches Tanning and have had great experiences at other locations. But the Orem location was not a good experience. The person at the front desk acted like my being there was a major inconvenience. When I asked her where the booth was, she just said in the back; no clear direction. Then, when the Mystic booth was available, she didn't bother to clean it out so I almost slipped and my tan was runny. I waited to the last possible second trying to get my tan to dry and was still so wet. I had to use paper towels to dry off my sopping wet skin. I would drive to any other location just to avoid another bad experience. read more

Worst customer service. Got billed for a monthly pass I tried to cancel and it didn't go through. Found out with my account 6 months later they were billing me. Called to get a refund and person did not say they could refund. Just that she would call me back once canceled. Was a client for 2 years and they screwed me over with canceling my account and refund me for their mistake. read more

The worst place to get a spray tan. I've gotten two spray tans, the first one didn't do anything, I went back thinking it was just a one time thing and the second one was very spotty and uneven. No color on most my body. Very frustrating when you want to look tan for a vacation. Dont ever leave your lotion at any of the stores! I recently wanted to switch locations so I tried to get my lotions at the old location. They only could find one of two and I am MORE than positive that I did not take it home OR ever leave it in a room. I am annoyed and frustrated that I paid for something and now it is gone. I love beaches. The girls are nice, friendly, and know their stuff when it comes to tanning. I was set to surely fry in a bed set much too high for how pale I am. I don't usually write reviews, but after so many times of this happening in a row, I felt the need. I love Beaches and the beds are great. Most of the staff is really nice, but SO pushy. They seriously don't take No for an answer. It's actually just one girl in particular. I finally bought a pass so they wouldn't bug me anymore but now it's constantly about lotions or upgrades. I told the girls no 4 different times and she continued to bring out more lotions. I have had allergic reactions to tanning lotions and honestly tan better without them. I know they work wonders on some but I just don't like the look lotions give me, on top of the fact I've had horrible reactions. When I explained this, the girl proceeded to look up my name and said "hmm, that's weird you have never purchased any lotions from us before.." As if she were questioning me. I've actually WORKED at a tanning salon so I have in fact tried many. I feel like that particular girl takes it personally when I decline, and then she's not nice at all afterward. I totally understand the up-sale and its part of business, and I appreciate the hustle but it's to the point where I won't be coming in after my pass is up. read more
