This is a sand dune location surrounded by a beautifully kept park, perfect for hiking and enjoying nature. The preserve is surrounded by California like beach rocks and is the home to protected wildlife, available for viewing. If you're interested in activities or to donate to the preserve, there is a small office where more information is available. The beach is just a few miles away. Parking is easily accessible and free. I was pleasantly surprised by the beach itself. It was clean and free of sea weed. Sea shells were abundant here and littered the floor leading into the water. Water shoes are highly recommended! There were many sea shell collectors walking the shoreline, gathering their favorite ones. We had a great day here and can't wait to visit again!

But, it is its own park, and it stretches from A1A Beach Road to US1! It contains: -a big parking lot that allows access to the beach across the street -a grassy area of pavilions and picnic tables -a pirate playground -the (elusive) entrance to the East side of the Juno Dunes Natural Area, which I wasn't sure actually existed. -a bathroom facility -its own nature trail This parking lot is a decent size with free parking. The pavilion of bathrooms are clean and well-maintained, especially if you are headed to the beach. The picnic tables are calling out for (kid birthday) party use, especially with the beach, playground and marinelife center all in walking distance. I came here specifically for the playground. It is shaped like a pirate ship. It has a sandy bottom. It has some swings also. It is not fenced, but it is set back from the parking lot decently and no where near the roads. I didn't get too involved with the pirate ship (because I perched at the closest bench) but my kids definitely loved it.

I found it by parking in the parking lot for Kagan Park and walking along the Lake Walk at Pelican Lake. When I spotted this walkway and sign, getting to go to the beach was just icing on the cake as part of a lovely park experience. The walkway from the access point sign to the actual beach is kind of long, but it is fully fenced on both sides, so very safe for little kids to skip along. It was exciting to hear the ocean waves become louder and louder as we got closer. Sweet anticipation! The path is fully paved with a very gradual incline, which is great for strollers and wheelchairs. At the end, a few stairs go down onto the beach area, but the water is full in view from the top of those little stairs. On the beach we found a couple of kite boarders setting up, but overall the beach was pretty quiet and private. I would definitely visit here again as part of a larger hangout involving Pelican Lake and Kagan Park.

This is one of the few ways go get over go Peanut Island, and it's very fast, and easy to navigate…read more (Not accessible by car) When you arrive at Marina Village, free parking is available for guests going onto the island. The shuttle boat costs $25 for adults, and $12 for children. It's a quick boat ride over, approximately 5 min. Shuttles run about every 15 min to and from the island. Tickets can be purchased online, or in person. Everyone is given a wristband which is how the shuttle employees keep track of who's paid for the round trip shuttle service. It's important to note alcohol is not allowed onto the island, if you're carrying bags, coolers and carts over it will be checked. It's a fun day trip with so much to do on the little island.

There is a large open field for play. I love Jupiter and the beaches are just one reason why. They are clean and life guard patrolled. Parking is plentiful and free. Right next to Ocean Cay Park is another beach park, Juno Beach with a fishing pier. It is worth taking the drive north to have a vacation beach day. When you are done with your fun in the sun there are great places to eat blocks away.

I was actually pleasantly surprised that I found this park, my original intention was to walk at another park a mile down in Jupiter which really didn't fit my need to walk a longer; bug free path with restrooms and at least garbage cans. This park has access to the intracoastal waterway so you can launch a boat. You must have a permit which can be obtained online to use the boat launch. You can also purchase a $10 onsite daily permit. They have a lot of trailer parking. A cool thing I saw here for the first time was a kiosk from Padl.com that lets you rent paddle boards for $15 an hour. You download the app and they send you a number to unlock the board. The app will map your route and give you stats on your paddle. When you are done you just lock it back up. That's a lot better than trying to tie a board to the roof of your car, I definitely want to try it out one day. This is a very nice park to boat, fish, picnic, play, and exercise.

Rented bikes and had a nice, hot experience in July. It's easy to get lost. Use a map at visitor…read morecenter. Thanks for a spot to refill my water bottle, but I should have brought more ice. I'm glad it wasn't too buggy. We didn't see alligators. Canoers, kayakers & boarders on the water said they saw gator(s), but we never did. So, I don't recommend renting bikes if you want to see gators. Many people visit the area and bring their own kayaks & body boards. Don't dress to impress. This is a true nature experience. 4 stars cuz bikes can be dirty, one lady had her chain fall off & we helped her & my husband's handlebars loosened up & had to start walking his bike. I guess the only way to get help on the trail is to call their rental center, so don't leave the area without asking how they can help & meet up in case your bike is not rideable. I rode back & had a worker take him a new bike, but I had to show him where he was. It was a nature experience! There is a waiver to sign before you rent. Maybe their fine print gives information about how to deal with problems on the trail? I didn't read it thoroughly, I thought it focused more on the late fee.
