Kagan, mayor of Juno Beach from 1954 to 1969. Originally from New Jersey, he moved to Juno Beach in 1949 where he worked as a repeal estate developer. Stanley Kagan passed away in 1975. The park is landscaped with trees and an open play space. Amenities at Kagan Park include a children's play structure, half basketball court, exercise equipment, and picnic tables. Across the street is Pelican Lake which has a walking path and gazebo. During my visit the park was busy with people playing basketball and kids climbing on the playground. The park is open everyday from sun up to sun down. Come out for exercise and play.

The Palm Beach Gardens Playground is a great recreational area to take the kids for play. I like…read morehow it is completely fenced in for safety. The playground is large and has a lot of climbing equipment, slides, and swings. This area of the park also has a covered pavilion with a picnic tables and a portable restroom. A few days ago a woman and her two daughters were shocked by the metal railing leading to the restroom. The city determined it was due to a leaky air conditioning unit on top of the restroom and they have fixed the issue. i would still caution against touching the railing just to be on the safe side. In the immediate area outside the playground there is even more for families to enjoy like a memorial meditation garden and aquatics center with pool, splash zone, and water slide. A brand new 30 million dollar community center is being built with a refurbished gym, wellness studio, cultural art space, art studios, rooms for STEM programs, new restrooms, and more. With the addition of the new community center this corner of Palm Beach Gardens is going to be an impressive gathering place for the community.

This park has access to the intracoastal waterway so you can launch a boat. You must have a permit which can be obtained online to use the boat launch. You can also purchase a $10 onsite daily permit. They have a lot of trailer parking. A cool thing I saw here for the first time was a kiosk from Padl.com that lets you rent paddle boards for $15 an hour. You download the app and they send you a number to unlock the board. The app will map your route and give you stats on your paddle. When you are done you just lock it back up. That's a lot better than trying to tie a board to the roof of your car, I definitely want to try it out one day. This is a very nice park to boat, fish, picnic, play, and exercise.

North County District Park is a 82-acre athletic and recreation complex. It is located on 117th Court North near the city's tennis center. The sprawling park includes seven lighted multi-purpose fields, two open fields, a splash pad, nature trail and walking areas, three pavilions, two playgrounds, gravity rail and 23.6 acres of preserve. it is the largest athletic complex in the area and has more than 600 parking spots. The pristine athletic fields make this park ideal for team sports but children will also love cooling off at the splash pad and playing at the ninja styled shade covered playground. My favorite part of the park was the nature trail. I just wish it had parking closer to the entrance. The field next to trail is under construction so I am excited to see what will be added to the park next.

There is a large open field for play. I love Jupiter and the beaches are just one reason why. They are clean and life guard patrolled. Parking is plentiful and free. Right next to Ocean Cay Park is another beach park, Juno Beach with a fishing pier. It is worth taking the drive north to have a vacation beach day. When you are done with your fun in the sun there are great places to eat blocks away.

I was actually pleasantly surprised that I found this park, my original intention was to walk at another park a mile down in Jupiter which really didn't fit my need to walk a longer; bug free path with restrooms and at least garbage cans. The 17-acre Palm Beach County park is located on the east side of the Intracoastal Waterway just south of Donald Ross Road. In 2018 Bert Winters Park received two million dollars of upgrades to its boat ramps and trailer parking to keep up with the increased demand of Palm Beach boaters. New boat trailer parking spaces were added, existing boat ramps were renovated making them less slippery, and a new restroom was added. In order to use the ramps you need to purchase a permit on line. The ramps are open every day from sunrise to sunset, no overnight parking. The park also has a baseball field, a multipurpose field, picnic area, playground, and two tennis courts. It is also the home of the North Palm Beach Rowing Club. If you are looking for a park with water access and you have the permit, this is a great place to put in your boat.
