Facility is clean and inviting. Prices are fair and competitive with the area. Definitely would recommend for training and fun for the kids.

This place is AWESOME! The hourly rate for a cage is steep, but their monthly rates are great! The new look is great!

They offer excellent one on one baseball instruction (hitting, pitching, fielding, conditioning) and great camps/clinics.

Whether it be hitting dingers in my Little…read moreLeague Baseball League, playing pick up basketball as a kid against grown men, taking tennis lessons (I was trash at tennis), or running around here in middle school with my group of friends, Live Oak has been instrumental in my growth as a man. Most recently, it's been here for me when I come back from NYC and just want to get some shots up alone. Nothing as cathartic as grabbing the new basketball my Granny just got me, popping my airpods in, and doing the basketball workouts I used to do as a kid when hoop dreams were all I cared about. Something about reconnecting with that part of myself just eases the stresses that come with adulthood. I think that chubby insecure kid would be proud of who I am today, and that makes me smile. It's good to look back at your past and appreciate who you've become... But don't stare at it, or you'll end up staying there. Look back, smile, and keep pushing forward. I also randomly seen Kendrick Lamar doing a prison workout here a few years back. That was a trip lol. THANK YOU LIVE OAK! THANK YOU GRANNY I LOVE THIS NEW BASKETBALL! IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews

This is a nice quaint park…read more The only downside to it could be the choice of ground covering, being wood chips. I prefer stable soft cork, rubber or foam flat surfaces. The wood can get stuck in socks or irritate the skin or feet on contact. Also, it seems like it could be a breeding ground for germs, animal feces, mold or insects. I know Pollywog across the street uses shredded ribber tires, which isn't much better and some park play areas use sand. I think what Anderson Park in Redondo Beach, about 5 mins away from this park uses the best ground covering flooring. The play area is nice with swings and slides, probably ideal for 6 and younger. There is also a challenging rock climbing wall. In addition there is a professional quality baseball field as well as a basketball court, both outdoors. There is an adjacent recreation center, the home of Super Kids Gymnastics (used to be one weekday and one weekend class) in a nice auditorium set-up. Parking is fairly easy, especially the street parking in the surrounding residential neighborhood. This park re-opened in October 2020, but has a Covid-19 mask mandate to wear face shields or masks as protective covering for anyone entering the play area, both children and accompanying adults. I'm not sure how that is policed or what the penalty is for disobedience. Fortunately, most of the time, this isn't an over-crowded park playground since across the street is the bigger Pollywog Park. It's almost a hidden 'lil secret parkette.
