Either way she was very sweet and made great recommendations. I had the crispy chicken sandwich, it was good. It could've used some tomatoes. My only complaint is that the bottom bread was soggy. My husband had a burger- very flavorful! I would love to come back and have a burger instead. The fries were great. They're shoestring fries and are salty. Ours were fresh and we really enjoyed them. One order is more than enough for two people to share. I also recommend dipping your fries in the 30A special sauce. Overall I think this is a great space for a good burger. We spent 40 dollars for two plus a milkshake. They also have a great outdoor dining space and we were able to watch college football while eating dinner.

There were five separate orders, all placed around the same time. However, one couple's order took nearly 40 minutes, while the others received their food in about 20 minutes. When we noticed that guests who arrived after us were getting their food first, we asked about the delay. A staff member told us their order would be ready soon, but we then saw her take fries out of their bag and place them into someone else's order. At that point, I asked to speak with the manager. The manager, who was cooking, said the order would be out shortly, but we were never given a clear explanation as to why it took so much longer--especially since they ordered the same smash burger as others in our group. By the time their food arrived, everyone else had already finished eating. We've visited before when it was much busier and didn't have any issues, which made this experience surprising. The burgers we received on time were delicious, but the fries were not fresh. Overall, it just seemed like an off night, and unfortunately, the service didn't meet expectations.

We started off with the shrimp appetizer and it was a great portion and very flavorful. Highly recommend. We then split two orders of wings. The sauce had great flavor, but we were a little disappointed in the crispiness of the wings. We asked for them extra crispy and not only were they not crispy, but they were somewhat undercooked. Not my thing. Service was fantastic and is definitely a popular and great place to watch the games.

We started with the Nashville Hot Wings and the crab cakes, and both were excellent. The wings had great flavor without being overwhelmingly hot, and the crab cakes were fresh and well‑seasoned. For my entrée, I went with the Salmon Pad Thai, which ended up being one of the highlights of the meal. Tons of flavor, perfectly cooked salmon, and again--not too spicy. Just balanced and delicious. Overall, Shades nailed it: great service, great food, and a smooth experience even with a large group. Totally worth it.

My issue is with being upfront and transparent about the price/product. $4 for a 32 oz. fountain drink is not what most people would consider a reasonable price. Especially when that price isn't clearly communicated beforehand. I understand this is a vacation area and that prices are generally higher and people expect to pay more. What bothered me was feeling blindsided by the price after the fact. It's similar to advertising something as a fountain drink but then charging separately for refills. I understand the business model and I'm not saying a business shouldn't do it. Just be upfront about it so customers can make an informed choice. I also understand that policies like this may have come about because people were staying for long periods without spending additional money. That's the business's decision to make. But the price and refill policy should be clearly communicated rather than leaving customers to find out after ordering. I'm not trying to be overly critical. What bothered me most was the response from the business, which seemed to downplay the concern and make it sound like this was a completely normal or expected practice. Regardless of whether other businesses do it (which no other business on 30A does this), I think customers have a legitimate reason to be surprised by a $4 for a fountain drink, only to find out it's just 32 oz.

It was light, airy, very comfortable, and tastefully decorated throughout. The furnishings were clearly well thought out, from the sofas and tables to the dining area and large kitchen island. The lighting made the home feel bright and welcoming. The house was well equipped for a weeklong stay, with sheets, towels, and essentials provided. The only minor issue was the ice maker, which produced very little ice, so we had to buy bags nearby. The screened-in front porch was a highlight, especially the swinging sofa, which we used daily for coffee and relaxing evenings. The included golf cart was a major plus and essentially necessary, since there is no direct beach access. We used it to reach Deer Lake State Park, which was beautiful and inexpensive to enter. Our main disappointment was that the rental did not include access to WaterSound Club pools or private beach facilities. The available pools were crowded and geared toward young children, which didn't suit our family. Nearby The Big Chill was convenient but very busy and not very clean during our visit. We enjoyed exploring nearby 30A communities, but parking was often difficult and Uber rides were more expensive than expected. Overall, the home itself was excellent--comfortable, stylish, and well maintained. Most drawbacks relate to the broader WaterSound area rather than the property. We had a great family week and really enjoyed staying at 10 Federal Street.

There was a whole outside area with cornhole and a bar that you could stand around at while you waited for your table. And tons of free parking behind the building, so that's a plus. Our waiter was attentive and quick to help us! To eat, we got the scallops, band bang shrimp and the fish and grits. The scallops were the best I think I've ever had. They were a great portion size and the sauce was perfect. The fish and grits had the redfish and I love redfish so this entree was great for me. The waiter said everyone loves the bang bang shrimp (I'm allergic), but everyone else at my table who could eat it, devoured it lol. Everything came out in a good amount of time and was presented so nicely! It looked and tasted delicious. I also thought the prices were good for what we were getting, so I would definitely come back again!

The grouper was outstanding, and the fried shrimp basket was one of the best meals we've had this week. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, the fries were great, and the fried okra was a must-order. Even the kids' shrimp meal came with a huge amount of shrimp, which was a nice surprise. Also, the sweet tea was perfect. Service was great from start to finish. Everyone was friendly, and the food came out fresh and hot. One tip: ask for a regular table instead of a booth. The booths are very tight and sit too close to the tables, so it can be hard to move around comfortably. Overall, great seafood, great service, and a great 30A beach atmosphere. We would definitely go back, especially for the grouper and fried shrimp.

Right when we arrived, we were walked to our table, which was a booth and was plenty of room for the 5 of us. When we were walking to our table, I noticed how nice this restaurant was! The ambiance was on point. Very nice but not too nice. Our waiter immediately addressed us when we sat down and gave us his recommendations for drinks. I decided on the peach Paloma spritz. It was delicious and well presented. Others in my party got red wine, a French 75 and the market ranch water. I thought mine was the most delicious lol. Before we ordered our appetizers, the waiter was so beyond knowledgeable about the whole menu. Gave us all of the specials like nothing I have ever heard before. He was so great! For our appetizers, we got the bread butter candle, smoked fish dip, and the burrata salad. The bread butter candle was the best thing I've ever had! It was so cool and very unique. I absolutely loved the burrata salad, but I thought the fish dip was a tad too fishy for me. For our entrees, most of the table got the red fish and the other two got the steak and the pasta. We all devoured the red fish! It was so delicious and a good portion. Others in my pastry weren't fans of the pasta, but the steak was one of the best I've ever tasted. From the service to the food to the ambiance, this place is one of my favorites I've ever dined at! I can't wait to come back!

My wife and I met her colleagues at the bar multiple times while I also ate breakfast at 1936 twice. Some of the staff were helpful and others didn't seem like they wanted to be there during breakfast. The food was all-around good. At the same time, the bar staff were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to be helpful. They were familiar with the obscure cocktail requests that my friend made without referencing a recipe book. Special thanks to Dulce and Benjamin at the bar!! The breakfast menu at 1936 includes Light Start items, Chef's Sunrise Specials, The Southern Griddle items, a Kids' Menu, and side dishes. On both days, my guest and I each ordered an Inn Breakfast consisting of two eggs cooked to your preference, Applewood smoked bacon, Logan Turnpike grits or breakfast potatoes, and biscuit or toast. My first day, I ordered toast along with bacon and breakfast potatoes with two eggs scrambled. The second day, I ordered a biscuit with breakfast potatoes with fruit instead of bacon. Everything was tasty! 1936 is open for Camp Creek Inn guests along with WaterSound Club members to enjoy its lounge and bar.
