This is specifically about the tent sites, T13, T14, & T15 - we had T15 booked and showed up late…read moreand couldn't even find our tent site because we didn't realize you have to walk through the other two tent sites to get to T15 - for some people this might be okay but I didn't feel comfortable staying here, the site itself would have been nice if you weren't crammed in right next to two other sites. We had it booked for 5 nights and they wouldn't even give us a partial refund so we're out a good chunk of money. Extremely disappointed in the lack of photos and information because had we known we never would have booked this site, and now we can't even afford to stay anywhere else and have to cancel our trip entirely.

I'll start with the good things about the park: It was easy access from Highway 101. The entrance was marked well, and it was navigable in a big rig (we did need to have someone move a vehicle when we were leaving due to cars being parked in the street since spaces are so tight). Our site was concrete and was very level. The wi-fi worked pretty well where we were located and there were no obstacles for satellite TV with our roof mounted dish. Hook-ups worked well at our site but another camper a few sites down from us had issues with a plugged sewer line. The park was quiet (the railroad yard nearby was not very active) and there is a walking trail from the park that leads to the Coos Bay boardwalk. There were some homeless people living in the rail yard but they were not panhandling on the walkway. And, the park is in close proximity to many great places on the coast. Now, the downsides: The sites are extremely tight. We had no room to sit outside, and it is even difficult to park your vehicle. The dog walk area is full of dog poop, and it's hard to walk without stepping in the waste. Which leads to management being on site only three days a week. If you have an issue you need to call and leave a message. Water pressure was low at our site. Finally, we were sure to not leave things outside of our RV due to the lack of management presence and the homeless population in the rail yard. The park is primarily full-time residents but they were very friendly to us. Again, not a bad park, but it's hard to enjoy fully when there isn't room to sit outside.

We stayed here during a time that they were having terrible storms on the Oregon coast, high winds…read moreand lots of rain. I know it rains a lot in Oregon but this was torrential rains. The gentleman in the office was very nice and warned us of the upcoming storms. He told me of some great restaurants and a light show at a nearby botanical garden that was decorated for the holidays. Our spot was a pull thru that was paved and plenty long enough to accommodate our rig, full hook ups with a picnic table. The park has mostly full time tenants as you can tell but not in that creepy feeling full timers. As this is a very well kept park. As we drove through Coos Bay we noticed that this was the right choice in places to stay. Our only gripe was the trash cans are on the opposite ends of the park so in the nasty weather you are running to get to the trash. And the pet area was a little small, although they do supply a pooper scooper which is much better to clean up after our furry friends.

It's close to Old Town Bandon, boat charters, the beach and other scenic spots. It doesn't have the amenities such as a pool, spa or golf, but when you go into the park, it has large grassy areas, lots of flowers and cute teapots decorating the wooden fence. The park is so peaceful that it is a great place to just relax. I spoke to Linda when booking who was very nice and helpful in getting the right space. They have wonderfully long pull-thru spaces giving you room to put a truck and a trailer together. The sites are not particularly wide but plenty wide for slides on each side and room to get by. There is a picnic table at the site and full hookups. There are also big beautiful trees lining the park which added to the beauty but made satellite TV impossible plus there was no cell service at site 4. This ended up making the visit more relaxing and enjoyable cutting off the stress of the world.

The first thing I look for in an RV park is whether or not we can squeeze our big rig into the…read moresites. Nothing else matters if we can't fit on the pad. That is definitely not a problem here, as the sites are at least 80 feet long. Having said that, Robbins Nest is not a resort, but a relatively quiet, comfortable, and safe place to stay while you're exploring Bandon. Bandon is my wife's hometown, so we are very familiar with the area, and we come back to visit every summer. I can honestly say Robbins Nest is the best big rig friendly park within 30 miles in any direction. The park is only a few minutes from Old Town Bandon, just off Highway 101, but not so close that road noise is a problem. There's plenty of room to extend slide-outs and awnings, unlike some of the other parks nearby. The electric pedestal provides a rock-steady 120 volts, water pressure is adequate, and the sewer hookup and fresh water spigot are about 15 feet apart, an important sanitary consideration. The free WiFi boasts some of the fastest speeds we've seen in our 5 years of full-timing. There are excellent photos of the park and local attractions on their website, and a very cool hi-def video showing a fly-over view of the park. The owners, Joy and Dondi are friendly and helpful, and strive to keep the park clean and well maintained. An online search will show numerous 4- and 5-star reviews, except one left recently (July 2020) by a disgruntled guest who complained about being evicted for violating the park's posted speed limit. Do not judge this park based solely on his angry testimony. It's true that upon check-in, Joy makes it a point to ask you to drive slowly in the park, but that's because she's concerned for the safety of the guests. She certainly doesn't stand on the road with a radar gun like that one sad individual seems to imply. Surely, there's more to his story than he's willing to admit. Bottom line, Robbins Nest is the best park in town. Come see for yourself.

Pros: -50 and over so NO kids! -We have a 32' 5th Wheel that fits perfectly. -Pull Through spacious sites -LEVEL SITES!! -nice area to do laundry, puzzles, read. -can buy $10 roll of quarters for laundry -clean bathrooms and showers that takes a code to get in. -dog area, but not fenced in. -friendly, professional managers on site -gave us our site number when we made reservations so we could park in it before check in. -recycle trash bins -quiet -cable -very few Rv sites -NO kids!! Cons: -there is some road noise -not really good places to walk off property -lots of weeds in grass, but they do keep it short -only one washer and dryer(which is fine for us) -about a mile or so to walk to the ocean and there is really no space to walk next to the road. We would definitely cone back again!! We were very happy with our 7 night stay here at Robbins Nest.

Stay here is you don't mind being so close to another rig that you can probably hear them flush their toilet. It's basically a big parking lot with as many spots wadded in as possible, with white parking lines marking out each spot. Lots of nicer looking places to stay at nearby, especially if you want more room around your site.

I have been coming here for about 15 years. The campground is geared toward A TV enthusiasts and…read morehas Oregon Dune access. The campground is a US Forest Service campground. There are two campground loops with a total of 37 camp sites and a day use parking lot area. The campground has a set of bathrooms with flush toilets and running water. No showers though. I believe if you need a shower you can go down the road a couple of miles to Turman state park and pay for a shower. The camp sites vary in size and are paved. They can accommodate a pretty good size trailer or RV and maybe another vehicle and ATV's. You can make reservations at Recreation. Gov and I definitely recommend doing so. The place fills up quick during the spring and summer. The rate is $20 per night. There are no electrical hook ups here or sewer dumps. The great thing about this location is the direct dune access. It's just through the parking lot and up a short dune road and you are there. It is at the northern most end of the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area that is open to OHV use between Horsfall and Spinreel. There is an ATV rental place at the end of the road and they sell ice, ATV permits and some ATV parts and the town of Lakeside is very close by which has a hotel, a couple restaurants and a grocery store.
