Do you like rock picking? Well then this is the beach!!! We were just mesmerized by all the colors! Jade, agate and so much more! Wonderful beach to walk! You can go forever! We stayed in the campground and then drove to the beach access parking lot. It would be quite a walk and I would rather save it for beach exploring! The sites here are nice. Water, electric and sewer connections. We were able to have cell and our WiFi here. Lots of trees but still a great signal. If you have a big rig it would be hard here. read more

Very nicely maintained, staff and camp hosts are always around. There are RV sites with electric only or full -hook up, double check when you are signing up for your site. Went on Pearl's Trail to beach, a fabulous hike and when we got to the beach it was pristine. With the boat launch, horse camping, beautiful sites, great restrooms and showers it is on our list to return. read more

Normal size rv spaces, with full hookups or partial 30 and 50 amps. Showers restrooms tent and yurt spots. It was a great place for us to stay a night on our way south. With lots of trails and lots of beach front to comb for agates, or check out the light house. Very clean and well ran. I also enjoyed the early morning walk with wild turkey in the campground gobbling away. read more

Don't plan on getting any sleep at Bullards Beach Campground. Thankfully, we're just passing through. If you want a place to party and have no regard for others, this is the place to be. Multiple campers playing very loud music, barking dogs, flashing lights and toddlers screeching, well past 11pm. Other than that, it's clean and well maintained. The hosts are very friendly. Sadly, we won't return to camp here. read more

Beautiful state park. Wonderfully maintained and the staff and camp hosts are super friendly! The park is quiet and camp sites are nice sized and pretty private. It was a two day drive for us to get here but definitely worth the trip! FYI the beach is a 1.25 mile walk/drive/bike ride from the camp grounds. read more

Hi! First time camping here as we are new to Oregon. This is the first stop of our Lighthouse trip up the Oregon Coast. This is a nice woodsy campground. Some of the sites seems hard to back into which was our case and they told me my car probably won't fit so there are parking spots down the road (not too far actually). We were not excited about having our car somewhere else because we had golf equipment in the car. But with the hubby's awesome skills we were able to back the RV in all the way and have my car in front. The sites are all cleaned as soon as vacated. The bathrooms very clean as well as the showers. It's not right on a beach because the beach is about a mile and a half away. It's actually where you drive to see the lighthouse here. We will totally be back here as our "base" camp for golf, kayaking and exploring the coast. read more

This campground could easily be 4-star review. Two things could be improved. One is the garbage container is big and probably sits on the premises for a long period of time and, therefore, smells like pig poop and rotten eggs. Do not camp in sites A1 to A-4 & A-54 through A-57 and you will be a happy camper. Next the Camp Hosts clean up vacated campsites with a gas powered blower (no-no on emissions). I watch them blow dust through an adjacent campsite, over a lovely Casita trailer and picnic table. That would "PO" me! Now the 4-star part, camp sites are spaced nicely for privacy. Very level for tent camping or leveling a trailer and or RV. The campground is nestled in a cove and out of the headwinds. It is short walk or bike ride on a nice trail to the slouth / river and 3 miles to ocean and a lighthouse. Bandan is 3 miles south and a nice resort town to visit. Clean bathrooms and showers. read more

I stayed two nights with my family of four in a yurt at Bullards Beach State Park. I made our reservation approximately 8 months in advance through the Oregon State Parks website, which uses Reserve America. At a total of $88 for the two nights, I found it a good value. The reservation process was easy. The campground has close waking/driving/bicycling access to a wonderful beach, as well as the Coquille River Lighthouse, which was doing free tours. I was happy to donate $5 to the lighthouse restoration fund. The park is a short drive from the town of Bandon, which has access to great rocky beaches. Our yurt was in a "yurt village," which was basically a group of at least 4 yurts in very close proximity with virtually no privacy. The porch on the front of our yurt was quite small, and the ground around the porch and picnic table and fire pit was covered with loose dirt that was impossible not to continuously track into our yurt. We drove through the park to check out the yurts that were not in the "village," and they didn't really have any more privacy. All basic yurts in Oregon State Parks have electricity for lighting, heat, and outlets to charge our various devices. There were flush toilets and running water with soap a short walk from our yurt, and free hot showers a little bit farther. My kids enjoyed the "Junior Ranger" activities and got some great help from one of the park hosts. There was even a great interpretive program about bats one night. The park was just fine overall, but we probably won't stay at Bullards Beach again, mainly due to the lack of privacy mentioned above. read more

Very large and clean sites with generous level parking pad (across from us, we watched a monster RV back in with room to spare. Staff upon arrival was very helpful in recommending a site that would best suit our needs (we were looking for a site with fewer trees and more sun). Restrooms were clean and the hand dryer had WARM air - yeah! We were able to take a 6 mile round trip walk to the Coquille Lighthouse along the beach (you can drive to the day use area for a much shorter walk) and enjoyed lots of interesting driftwood along the beach. Nearby is the small and proud town of Bandon. Good bakery and cute shops. read more

Bullards Beach State Park is exceedingly large, and exceedingly well-run. As a matter of fact, pretty much all of the Oregon State and County parks we've been to so far have been wonderfully staffed and maintained. A real pleasure. Like most County parks, Bullards is a great deal. Definitely a family park. Lots of activities for kids (junior rangers, etc.), but also plenty of gown ups too (great hikes right out of the park to the beach). Nearby Bandon has a small quaint 'old town' section with a harbor on the river. A few schlock souvenir stores for sure, but also some damn fine crab shacks. The main attractions on this section of the coast however are the beaches, coves, and lighthouse. No matter where you visit the coast north or south of Bandon, you will be in awe of the raw beauty of Oregon's vast and rugged coast. read more

Oh where do I begin? Well, it was my GF's 50th birthday and she wanted to go somewhere different than her normal birthdays... it's not everyday you hit the big FIVE ZERO, hit the wall, leave the niceties of saying I'm only in my 40s and take a peek at the other side of the wall.... So... on with a 15 hour drive from San Pedro, California. She had heard me speak of staying in a Yurt before and since this campground offered the possibility, she booked one for us. We left at 2:00 A.M. and drove and drove and drove, arriving at 5:00 P.M. for a one night stay in a yurt... hoooray! We made it. Actually I am an outdoors person and wish she had booked a whole week or more. Though I don't need the paved roads and clean bathrooms, this place was amazingly clean. The yurt was very clean and the bathrooms were spotless. The neighbors were all very respectful and quiet at "quiet time" around 10ish. They say the beach is 1.5 miles away but I think it's closer. We, the GF, dog and I went for a morning run and it didn't seem far. Actually, when I think about it... the beach they're talking about is at least 1.5 miles but there is an inlet/waterway that is closer if you wanted to launch a boat or kayak. So we explored the beach and the lighthouse. There is a lot of driftwood and other scenic things to shoot if you're taking photos. Make sure to stop in the small town of Bandon, also. They have a small fisherman's wharf and it's just a cool little town. If we'd had more time I would like to have eaten there or had a few beers with the locals. I found everything about the campground, the local town and all of Oregon with its majestic trees and clean highways a pleasure. I look forward to staying at Bullard Beach again but for a much longer period. It's that nice. From here we moved on to Yachats and stayed in the Fireside hotel. read more

This place is great!! The spots are huge and clean. I felt like I was all on my own even with it being Easter break and lots of families, I still had no issues being comfy and to myself because the size and separation of the spots was so perfect. Beautiful beaches you can go explore and have all to yourself. My dogs were able to run free as they wanted. There is a lot to explore in that area. Being a photographer I had a blast and stayed an extra day. I highly recommend this place. Especially for families with kids that need big spaces. read more

I guess you could say we stumbled upon this campground and we sure lucked out! Their rates are very fair: $24 for a full hook up site whether you are tent camping (like us) or an RV. For us tent campers, it was very handy to be able to charge our phones and access a water spigot as well all within our campsite. Nicely paved spots, clean restrooms, and an overall very well kept state campground. The campground isn't beachfront, but it does have access to the beach via either a 1.5 walk or a quick drive. It's an active state park with programs and activities for all ages. (While we were there a ranger rode his bike through the campground in the morning announcing a junior ranger program for the kids). This campground is great for overnight but the type of place you'd want to spend more time because it's that nice and offers much to see and do (or just relax too!). read more

Beautiful campground, well maintained, spotless facilities. The sites were spacious and shady with foliage between each site providing lots of privacy. Clean restrooms and great showers. Staff was friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night, wish we would have planned for a longer stay. We were well pleased with all of the Oregon State Parks that we visited. read more

We stayed at South Beach for $21.00 a night and it had everything from bike rentals to free showers to coffee in the morning. This dump we stayed at had no amenities at all. They had 1 shower per gender and the bathrooms stunk like poop. They had no coffee, no bike rentals, no more than 2 showers, and the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. The only thing nice I can say about this place is the space they give you to set up a tent was pretty good. Oh yeah, and did I mention it was $28.00 a night, what a rip! The only amenity was a 1.5 mile walk to the beach. read more

This is the cleanest & best appointed state park I have EVER camped at. Hot showers are included and there is soap in the bathrooms! It also has full hook ups for RVs for a very reasonable rate. The location is great, close to town (Bandon). read more

I found everything about the campground to be great. It is quiet and the beach and the Coquille River can be accessed easily. Next time we will stay for longer and go crabbing and fishing. No laundry facilities so you are not exposed to the toxic fumes of laundry soap and dryer sheets and can enjoy the outdoors! read more

This is a state park so luxuries are non existent no cable. But full hook ups. Bathrooms are clean and just the basics. There are 3 RV "loops". A, B and C. A and b had privacy hedges and c was more wide open. We stayed in B. It is about 4 miles from bandon dunes golf resort which was the main reason we were there. So convenient. read more

Worst campground ever! Camp sites are right on top of each other and rangers are quiet Nazi's. Stayed 8 nights and were harassed by rangers twice. 3 40-somethings talking around a campfire (not loud at all), kids sleeping in the tent next to the fire. Great area, but will never stay at this campground again. read more

Just returned from yurt camping here. First, the facilities are well-maintained and the rangers and hosts very friendly. Unfortunately, we ended up smack in the middle of some type of family reunion of over a hundred of the most obnoxious campers you have ever met. They seemed to be determined to be as loud and drunk as possible the whole time. In addition to incredibly loud talking, laughing, bad music and screaming at their kids and tied up dogs, the men all belched loudly and every adult smoked and cussed at the top of their lungs, then they would all laugh, they thought they were really funny. Me, not so much. They took up a dozen sites and all roamed around like they owned the place. We could not enjoy the quiet nature or even hear each other's conversations. It totally sucked. Technically, they weren't breaking any rules and for the most part quieted down at 10, but it really ruined our little vacation. It was just the luck of the draw but the layout lends itself to this type of camping, especially C loop. If you want privacy go down the road to Cape Blanco, we'll be heading there next time. read more
