What a beautiful place along Hwy 42. The campground is impeccably maintained and a great pavilion open to all guests for gathering or relaxing. The owners are very personable and make the feel of the place very homey. They also have four cabins for those who don't RV or tent camp. Great for times when camping with friends or family who aren't regular campers. All four overlook the small river flowing behind the park. They also have a laundromat so you can go home from vacation with clean clothes. This place is a gem along the Southwest Oregon mountains. Also close enough for a day trip to the coast. I can't recommend this beautiful park highly enough. read more

Amazing facility! The camp host and owners were absolutely incredible. Very hospitable and accommodating. Already booked another trip to stay in one of their cabins that was impeccably well-kept. Their pavilion or lack of better words gathering place, was amazing with a big flatscreen and all the amenities you can imagine for an outdoor kitchen and seating. One of the locals even made a custom made chili with tri-tip in it and we had hamburgers hotdogs and chili one night out of the blue. The owners have made the place completely comfortable everything impeccably clean and I love the fact how kids were playing around the RV park complete recommendation! read more

I can't believe this place doesn't have more reviews! What a gem! We originally planned to stay two nights but loved it so much we stayed an extra night. We are on a sixth month trip in our fifth wheel and this was the 8th campground we've stayed at so far. By far our favorite one. The atmosphere was quiet and very pleasant. We were able to choose whatever space we wanted. We stayed next to the creek. Each day my kids would catch crawdads, swim and have a blast. We could enjoy the creek view from our trailer. There is a large lawn in the center of the park to play games and let the kids run. I have 5 year old twins and they adored the community campfire every night. They have very nice bbqs and a real outdoor fireplace to cozy next up to. Every night the guests would all gather during cocktail hour and converse in front of the fire. We had so much fun meeting new people. It was neat that even people from around the area come and stay for a few weeks at a time because it's so nice and relaxing. We really enjoyed gathering in the reck room and watching the football game together. Lots of Oregon fans! :) The owners here have put their heart and soul into this place and it shows. read more

Remote is truly the most amazing place Eddee and Rob truly take pride in their park and cabins, the park is well groomed with a paved turnout perfect for the kids to ride bikes or scooters, they are always looking out for the kids and everyone's safety and are very firm on the rules of driving slow and keeping all dogs on a leash and no kids near or in the river without adult supervision. Eddee takes great pride with the cabins keeping them spot clean adding little extras! Yes this is my go to place if I want to relax and just enjoy great company, they are not only camp hosts but friends to all who come to their beautiful place! read more

No complaints on this R V park. Owners are great. Park is clean. Bathrooms and laundry are spotless. Sites are level, all have a nice bench. There are inside games, outside games, a nice office inside, large grassy areas, easy access to the little river, and crawdad fishin.Dog friendly. Good Wi Fi and tv. This is our favorite park to come to. Peaceful and friendly and safe.. We even found a great dzert social one night. Fun way to meet others, and get to know the wonderful owners, Rob and Idi. This is a smaller park, but a really nice park. We are staying here on each trip out. Also location is great. Between Roseburg and the coast.. Yes, we do come back as much as we can. read more

The park itself was beautiful. The cabins were all very clean and well stocked. We loved the beach and river access. My issue with this park is the owner and the fact that he threatened to whoop my child's ass for playing around the bathroom faculty. My son is 7 his two cousins that were playing with him are 5 and 9. This incident was witnessed by my oldest daughter who is 13. When myself and the other moms approached the female owner(his wife) of this establishment the following morning. She wasn't apologetic in fact she said "well we ask that children be supervised at all times and that her husband was a grown man and that we would have to take it up with him."She didn't offer to retrieve him from the house so we could speak with him directly. She clearly didn't care and/or felt her husband's actions were appropriate. Which they very much were not. We ended up having to seek him out. At which point he denied the incident instead stating that told them to get their little asses out of there. Because that's an appropriate way to speak to children. He did apologize however this is completely unacceptable behavior for a grown man towards young children especially in a family friendly campground that he owns. Perhaps in the future you'll watch the way you talk to children. This situation could have escalated very quickly had we not been mature adults. I hope this review sits as a constant reminder to the owners to do better and be better. We will never return to your campground solely because of this incident. So disappointed read more

One of Oregon's best kept secrets... Remote Outpost is more than a hunting/fishing campground! Much more! Ladies... if you want to escape, soak in an oversized deep tub next to fresh mountain air and the sound of the nearby river rushing by... this is your spot! Cabins # 1 and #2 are both immaculately clean (seriously the cleanest resort I have been to in Oregon); owners are always friendly and accommodating. We've been escaping to this little piece of paradise for many years. While the place is on the market for sale, we never see a blade of grass out of control. Every aspect of this cool retreat is impeccably well cared for. There's a hunter's lodge - huge gathering room decorated specifically for returning hunters and fishermen. Kitchen facilities indoors and out - large covered outdoor gathering and eating area as well. Many amazing camp sites along the river, and while it's nestled quietly between the coast and Roseburg, it's the perfect destination. Easy enough to stop "on your way" or make it a point to book another cabin. There's a third cabin which is pet-friendly. It's become a family choice - home away from home retreat. Attention writers and artists: THIS is your spot. Everything is set up perfectly to put you in the space to create. BBQ on the private deck. Walk the trails. Get your feet wet. It's a wonderful place to be any time of year. Just don't let the word get out. It's truly a favorite hide-away location. read more

Nice little RV Campground. Full hookups, clean restrooms with pay showers, laundry and both an outside and inside fireplace for travelers to gather with their neighbors and friends. Traveled by this place for over 50 years (raised 18 miles away and until recently parents still in area ) and besides fishing and hunting nearby, never stopped in. Glad I did, plan on making it an annual if not more frequent trip. Hosts are friendly, and have maintained a family atmosphere by inviting guests to community potlucks, which on my trip included Thanksgiving. On the middle fork of the Coquille River, at times you'll see salmon still trying to make their way upstream. read more

Stopped at this park overnight while on a long motorcycle trip. Stayed in one of the cabins; WOW what a nice surprise! Extremely clean full kitchen if needed wonderful views of creek and woods out the back windows and off the private deck on each cabin. This park is spotless and you can see the pride the owners, Rob, Idi and their son Chris have in this place. Outdoor covered gathering place to cook, bbq, have a fire, and watch tv if you want. If it's too cold there is a place inside to do the same. I will definitely be back! read more

I stayed at cabin 3 two weeks ago and had a wonderful time. Have been there in the past but it has been several years. Cabin 3 allows dogs, so that was nice that I could bring my puppy with me. Took so many walks around the campground and lit a fire in the big fire place area the Pavilion. So cozy. Will definitely be back. read more

Nothing bad I can say about this place. Rob and Idi (prounced Edee) are wonderful! They purchased the park four months ago, so any negative reviews before February 2017 are from the previous owners. Very well kept R.V. spots and cabins as well!!! Friendly, courteous, service with a smile! Campers are treated with respect and a feeling that they are welcome. Clean park and great rates!!!! Open year around, in my opinion this place should be full the whole time. There's a common area for gathering, a place to play horse shoes and river access too. I could go on forever. Check it out for yourself, I am sure you won't be disappointed. read more

Since the new people took over this place is pure heaven! The cabin was wonderful and I will definitely go back again. The manager and her son did everything they could if we needed something. For the past 4 years we have brought our RV group of 20 to 25 rigs to Remote Outpost for a get together. Everyone loves it so much that they often come early to enjoy the ambience of the whole park even before the caravan starts. It is THE BEST for group events: the owner lets us use the "Loafing Shed" with its full kitchen, fireplace, big screen TV, and dining to make & eat group meals. Also, there is an outdoor gazebo with BBQ, fireplace, and dining tables for a wonderful gathering place. People enjoy the riverside setting, the large field for playing horseshoes or other games, the hammock and the pool table and darts room. We highly recommend this RV park. Wagonmaster85375 read more
