Still, this one is serving a hugely grand purpose within the community. We could use more like it. It's clean, apparently safe enough, and overlooks the incredible Coquille Valley! Changing scenery with easy accessibility. Sounds like a good option for inexpensive living! Maybe that's why they're always packed to the brim!

The bathrooms are very clean, though the showers only run for like 30 seconds, you'll have to keep hitting the shower button until your done. You can make reservations in advance online, and I'm told that for the 4th of July, you will need them.

However, you can't just easily walk to the beach from your site because one way from the camping sites is 3/4 mile through mosquito walkways and another you could bike, walk or drive that is a 1-1/4 mile away from sites. If you have small children driving is best or you'll hear them complaining the whole way there. Beaches are beautiful and so is surrounding area. No play equipment for kids so best is them just riding around park. Which kids will make it fun. We don't tow a car with our RV so we are land locked unless we want to unhook everything. In summary won't be back due to lack of quick and easy access to beach via walking.

That is definitely not a problem here, as the sites are at least 80 feet long. Having said that, Robbins Nest is not a resort, but a relatively quiet, comfortable, and safe place to stay while you're exploring Bandon. Bandon is my wife's hometown, so we are very familiar with the area, and we come back to visit every summer. I can honestly say Robbins Nest is the best big rig friendly park within 30 miles in any direction. The park is only a few minutes from Old Town Bandon, just off Highway 101, but not so close that road noise is a problem. There's plenty of room to extend slide-outs and awnings, unlike some of the other parks nearby. The electric pedestal provides a rock-steady 120 volts, water pressure is adequate, and the sewer hookup and fresh water spigot are about 15 feet apart, an important sanitary consideration. The free WiFi boasts some of the fastest speeds we've seen in our 5 years of full-timing. There are excellent photos of the park and local attractions on their website, and a very cool hi-def video showing a fly-over view of the park. The owners, Joy and Dondi are friendly and helpful, and strive to keep the park clean and well maintained. An online search will show numerous 4- and 5-star reviews, except one left recently (July 2020) by a disgruntled guest who complained about being evicted for violating the park's posted speed limit. Do not judge this park based solely on his angry testimony. It's true that upon check-in, Joy makes it a point to ask you to drive slowly in the park, but that's because she's concerned for the safety of the guests. She certainly doesn't stand on the road with a radar gun like that one sad individual seems to imply. Surely, there's more to his story than he's willing to admit. Bottom line, Robbins Nest is the best park in town. Come see for yourself.

Pros: -50 and over so NO kids! -We have a 32' 5th Wheel that fits perfectly. -Pull Through spacious sites -LEVEL SITES!! -nice area to do laundry, puzzles, read. -can buy $10 roll of quarters for laundry -clean bathrooms and showers that takes a code to get in. -dog area, but not fenced in. -friendly, professional managers on site -gave us our site number when we made reservations so we could park in it before check in. -recycle trash bins -quiet -cable -very few Rv sites -NO kids!! Cons: -there is some road noise -not really good places to walk off property -lots of weeds in grass, but they do keep it short -only one washer and dryer(which is fine for us) -about a mile or so to walk to the ocean and there is really no space to walk next to the road. We would definitely cone back again!! We were very happy with our 7 night stay here at Robbins Nest.

What a great old motel, friendly and helpful front office staff, quiet and clean rooms, comfortable beds and a beautiful setting! The young man who welcomed us was very professional and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless, and the shower was fantastic! The grounds are absolutely beautiful with sweeping views of the Coquille River. The grounds are surrounded with beautiful Myrtle Trees and the air is filled with the music of Canada Geese wintering over on the picturesque river. What a fantastic change from the cookie-cutter Hampton-Marriott-Hilton, boring, corporate, McHotels. We will be back!

Everything is small. The beds, the rooms, the stove, the shower, the toilet. All smaller than you are used to. Definitely not ADA accessible. - This place is old. It smells like your Great Aunt's house and you'll be checking the cupboards for Ribbon Candy. - The place is clean. Spotless. Linens were fresh and not a speck of dust or dirt anywhere. Dishes, cups, everything. Super clean. - It's not modern. At all. You'll use a real key. You'll get a handwritten receipt for your stay. The WiFi is a strange little router plugged in to a random ceiling plug. The stove is small and has coil burners. - It has great beach access. Out your back door and a few steps away. Okay, several steps but still close. - Close to the old town. You're about a 5 minute drive to the old downtown and far off the highway so there is no noise. - It's expensive. A tad uncomfortable with the price but you're paying for the beach access and view. There is a chain hotel across the street that is significantly cheaper but if you want the access, get your credit card out. Hotels / motels are limited in this town and this was the best option we saw. We will stay here again. Once you get over the "weird" of the room set up (it takes about an hour) you will really like the place.

Luckily she had a room left but unknown to us it was like an attic room over the office. Walked in and it must have been 90 degrees. She stated no AC on the coast..so we are running two fans in front of the one window and door trying to cool the room..no cross ventilation. The view is great and if you are looking for a cheap room on the water, this is your ticket. Room looks and feels like old military TLF. It's clean but dated..dont know what we were expecting.. This will not be a repeat. The only reason for the 3 is the view and the room is clean.

I was surprised by how much i loved it, because to look at the thumbnail on Booking.com, it didn't look too attractive, and at first, i skipped past it. Bandon isn't a big place though, an the price was right for The Bandon Inn, so i booked a room. Obviously being on the coast, it has a strong coastal theme in the lobby, which is very cosily appointed, and welcoming. The check in was smooth, and the lady very helpful. The one thing i was not such a fan of was the continental breakfast (i never like any of the options, yogurt, pastries, fruit, cereal, hard-boiled egg - no thank you) And not only didn't i like anything available in this continental breakfast, we were handed a sheet of paper, and asked to say what time we would be coming to breakfast, AND pre-order which items you'd like. For a start, I'm on vacation, so I'm not setting any alarms, and as i said, I'm not into that sort of thing, so i asked her where I could get PROPER breakfast, and she gave multiple options that were available. She was very helpful. We were directed to our room, which was in an outside long building, and you went down some concrete steps, and into the room. I was instantly charmed by the room. We had a balcony!!! With a panoramic coastal view. This is because the long buildings are set above the town, on coastal bluffs. Beautiful. And 2 armchairs and a side table next to the balcony window so you could look out over the town below, and the sweeping coastline. A really nice room, and an affordable price. The temperature of the room was cool and perfect (highly important to me, as i get too hot very easily) I didn't need to put the air conditioning on, as it was already exactly cool enough for me. There's a pathway down to the town below if you don't want to drive there, but we didn't notice it until after we came back from breakfast. It's a very clean hotel. Excellent views, and if you like continental breakfast, you'd give this 5 stars. As it is, it's my 2nd favourite of the 5 hotels, and I would have no hesitation in returning, as I was absolutely charmed by the town of Bandon

An honest advertisement would say "sleeps 6 plus a couple of kids". The only way to get ten would be for two of the bedrooms to sleep three to a bed. Maybe kinda awkward. I personally ended up on a very cheap roll-a-way. Notes of admonition are posted around warning you that you will have to pay $175 if you plug up the drain or toilet. I seriously doubt that that is what the drain cleaner charges. So why so harsh? I've been in far worse places, but a few changes in the advertising and policies would go a long way to making this a great place.

Falling asleep to the sound of the crashing waves in the master bedroom is a delight. There's even a view of the ocean from the dining room table. We've come here with both a large group and a small group and it's perfect for either one. The beach below with Haystack rock is fantastic for long walks and beach combing when the water is out. We've rented many homes across the US and this is one our favorites.
