First, dealing with Lidia was a pleasure. She listened to our needs and found us the perfect house. We were suprised to find welcoming flowers among other amenities when we arrived. The house we stayed in, Bigadune, is beautiful with parallel widows providing a panoramic view of the ocean. It has a private walkway to the beach, which gave us easy access. It also has it's own garage, useful for rainy days. We were really happy to find a spacious kitchen completey stocked with all sorts of kitchen utensils. In short it was a great place to stay. Lidia owns a ranch up the Rogue River, and has houses on her ranch for rent. If you're interested in hiking this would be a good place to go. While we didn't hike, that area in the moutains up river was a beautiful place to see, and the ranch has a lot of wildlife to see.

It was well appointed with all the basic necessities, was clean and uplifted, the owners could not have been more helpful and responsive, and the garden was delightful. And it had a good location - it was a plus to us that it was in Coos Bay near the ocean to the south, less than 10 minutes to downtown, and close to the dunes to the north. Actually you could see the bay from the cozy upstairs seating area. It was a relaxing, peaceful, healthy place - what a treat!

This beautiful roadside stopping point is free and has easy access via an elevated boardwalk (note: you must be able to climb up and down stairs to use it, however). It's quite breezy and chilly during the entire year, so bring a sweatshirt or sweater and you'll be more comfortable. Watch for seals and gulls and other sealife, and don't forget your camera! The view is breathtaking, and it's a great way to stretch your legs and take a little break. A recommended stop!

And two queen bed rooms on opposite sides of the house, downstairs, both nicely appointed with furnishings, and two full bathrooms, one of which is also a Finlandia cedar lined sauna. A fully equipped and stocked kitchen (several types of spices, salt, pepper, coffee, sugar and different sweeteners, cocoa, condiments, along with a variety of other kitchen items not normally included with vacation rentals), dishes, lots and pans, blender, etc. with a breakfast bar for two and separate dining table and chairs for four, that looks out over the bay through a full bay window. The living room on the road frontage side is also well furnished, an oversized arm chair, love seat and matching couch with an entertainment center hosting several board games, an electronic fireplace and a flat screen TV with multiple channels. There is even an old style working rotary dial telephone! Out the back door onto a nice sized deck, there is a small table with two chairs and a full sized gas grill for outdoor cooking that over looks the bay. Following the stair case down you walk down the path and you will find yourself on 249' of private bay side water front beach. Downstairs storage there are several sizes of mud boots, crab pots, clam digging equipment and a couple of bicycles for use while staying. All in all this is a great little place to get away and relax on the water. Close to town yet far enough away to feel private. The only downside to this little gem, the road traffic noise, in the winter I'm sure it's nothing but during the summer it starts early and goes late. Still a great place to stay and in comparison to the area hotels and motels is a bargain! A solid 4 star stay and we will visit again. 00244

The maintenance guy and the front office staff were on the rude side. Like we were inconveniencing them. The location of the trash is right next to all the cabins and smells rancid. The cabins were not mopped clean family had 4 cabins and everyone complained about black feet from the floors. The beach was the highlight and it was nice they had several cabins to put us all together. If your going To the dunes to ride this camp isn't ride friendly.

It can be used with a cane. This area is well contained and good for dogs to get some exercise. Since you can drive on the beach you need to watch your dog to keep them safe from on coming cars. It's clean and not too crowded. There aren't hiking trails nearby but there are bike riding ones. If you go at low tide there is plenty of space to runaround and a stream that has fresh water for pups to drink from.

It's easy to spend 4 hours here daily just exploring and enjoying the water. It's fairly clean and safe since the beach is a decent ways away from the road. We haven't camped here or used the restrooms. We just enjoy the water and the trails. It's a perfect place for a picnic on a warm day and an excellent area to stretch your legs on a car trip.

In the morning we awoke to find a beautiful campsite with easy access to the beach and the Coquille River Lighthouse. We met friendly RVers right next to us and I would gladly stay here again. Generally, Bandon doesn't get as much attention as some of the other spots up the coast, but I really liked it here. The beach is quiet and peaceful and, although it doesn't have the crazy rock formations that some others do, it is definitely worth a visit. The driftwood here was nuts!

The Bad: Host was very light on supplies. 3.5 Rolls of TP for 8 people for 4 days. 4 Towels for 8 people for 4 days with no laundry access. Zero kitchen supplies so bring your own.. everything! No shades right where the sun comes in. Every window in this house has shades except the ones that need it. The living room is basically uninhabitable for a few hours every evening. Pool Table is in awful shape, don't be fooled or excited about it. Apparently the house has drainage issues, so don't expect to be able to use the nice tub either, there will be a sign there that it is off limits. Parking is super tight and limited. Hope you drive something small! THE UGLY: The Host, Christianne, is easily the worst person I have ever dealt with in a setting like this. She has her eyes on this place, inside and out and will watch you. She let herself into the house while we were gone and went through the place! With no one there and all of our stuff out in the open. She harassed me about electricity during our stay. Like I said, she keeps eyes on you inside and out. She harassed me about parking, even though we rented two of the spots. She offered no garbage service for two days and told me to deal with it. She accused me of breaking the rules because I could not find the garbage can and checked in the side shed. She accused us of scratching her floors 9 days after we left, and she had already rented it to other guests. She has a long record of being awful to people, check all of her reviews please. The house is filled with politcal propaganda and tacky art. She tried to conduct the transaction on the side with cash to save her fees. She harrassed me, and I mean legit harrased me for two weeks after we left telling me how my family and I were the worst guests ever and how awful my daughter was because she used a hand towel to remove a smudge of eye liner. She gave us 4 towels for 8 people for 4 days with a hot tub! She harrassed me about 1 soda can in the garbage. She sent me awful messages at all hours of the night after our stay. She tried to file a claim against me with the rental agency and lost. They appologized for her actions. I had the entire transaction in emails and texts. She is THE WORST! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
