    I woke up to this!
    Flory W.

Hubby was looking for a place for us to stay while visiting Bandon, for my birthday, because of what he read online, from another travel site. ALL the hotels has views. Charming old cottage, update with all the modern conveniences, very comfortable, everything you need to prepare a simple meal (salt & pepper included), great view, a long step down to the ocean (don't go at night, those steps - no lights), friendly service in the office. Hot coffee or cocoa in the morning, cellophane wrapped muffins. Away from traffic noise, hardly hear the ocean roar. We stayed on the 2nd floor. The bottom section has the shrubs, Scotland Pine, blooming currently in beautiful yellow. Beautiful landscaped with rock borders, awesome! Easy access back to Old Town. Everything is petite, if I'm single and lives here, perfect for me! There's a frosted tiny window, where you can view the ocean, while using the toilet! Negative: There's electrical plug in the bathroom, in front of the toilet, behind a door, but it's floor-level. Not very convenient for my power wash toothbrush/floss. I used the kitchen sink! It took us a while to get the TV going, but once we got it, we were stuck (and it's OK, watching the Learning Channel). At first, the section that divides the living room/bathroom floor, sinks up/down. By the 2nd day, we got used to it.

Wanted something on the water and this is it. Great view, sound of the waves, we had a nice deck to watch to sunset. House keeper not the best, used soap bathroom sink and trash can full but with those exceptions it was great...

Charging station for electric vehicles in front of the office.

Not my first time staying here, but this was my first time in the weird little room right above the office. It was adorable and a wonderful experience with a balcony, fantastic view, and kitchenette. The head of the bed seemed slightly angled downward, but was comfy otherwise. The shower is quite tiny but the showerhead is pretty high up for tall people. The water is also very soft so be careful to use less soap than usual. Other than those things, our stay was AWESOME. We didn't expect a full set of kitchen dishes and a toaster. The kitchenette is pretty complete except no stove. I was also surprised to find an EV charging station in from of the hotel office. We really enjoyed our stay and will continue returning to Windermere when we need a place to stay near Bandon! I'll probably ask about the weird little room above the office again as it was more adorable and quiet than the others, with a convenient path to the beach.

We just stayed at Windermere for the first time and it was amazing! The room has a direct view of the beach and the beautiful sunsets. There is a short path directly to the beach too. The room was spotless and was stocked with all the amenities. Michael at the front desk was so nice and very helpful, we are most definitely coming back on a regular basis! While there, we also visited Shore Acres, Face Rock, Coquille River Lighthouse, Cape Arago, and Sunset Bay State Park. All are located by the hotel. HIGHLY RECOMMEND WINDERMERE ON THE BEACH!

Absolutely loved this Cozy hotel! We will be back soon! Nothing like a fireplace in your room while listening to the ocean! Beach access right there and they even provide a hose and faucet to rinse the sand off your shoes! And spectacular views from the balcony.

Super amazing views! All rooms have a view! A quick two minute walk to beach. My biggest positive is this getaway was affordable! $235 for the weekend!! Can you say, "Score" Kitchenette with full service for 4; stove/oven/microwave/toaster/coffee maker. Hotel staff were pleasant and inviting. Lobby has games, coffee/tea and pastries in the morning. Bedding was clean, room was clean, parking was plenty. Only thing that was not the best was the small bathroom. It's super tight! Toilet small and barely off the ground. But, I can live with that; other maybe not so much. A quick four to five minute drive to the pier and there is plenty of eating. We found that many places close early.

The room seemed pretty clean though the front desk staff didn't wear masks. Fast and easy checkin. Definitely an older building with older furniture. Beds weren't super comfortable but I've slept on worse. The view was fantastic and there is beach access right at the hotel though they didn't say anything about it and we didn't find it until the morning we were leaving. Great location. Housekeeping staff was helpful, respectful, and nice. Lots of blankets and the heater works great which was nice for the 40 degree nights.

View from room 19. It doesn't suck.

I was surprised by how much i loved it, because to look at the thumbnail on Booking.com, it didn't look too attractive, and at first, i skipped past it. Bandon isn't a big place though, an the price was right for The Bandon Inn, so i booked a room. Obviously being on the coast, it has a strong coastal theme in the lobby, which is very cosily appointed, and welcoming. The check in was smooth, and the lady very helpful. The one thing i was not such a fan of was the continental breakfast (i never like any of the options, yogurt, pastries, fruit, cereal, hard-boiled egg - no thank you) And not only didn't i like anything available in this continental breakfast, we were handed a sheet of paper, and asked to say what time we would be coming to breakfast, AND pre-order which items you'd like. For a start, I'm on vacation, so I'm not setting any alarms, and as i said, I'm not into that sort of thing, so i asked her where I could get PROPER breakfast, and she gave multiple options that were available. She was very helpful. We were directed to our room, which was in an outside long building, and you went down some concrete steps, and into the room. I was instantly charmed by the room. We had a balcony!!! With a panoramic coastal view. This is because the long buildings are set above the town, on coastal bluffs. Beautiful. And 2 armchairs and a side table next to the balcony window so you could look out over the town below, and the sweeping coastline. A really nice room, and an affordable price. The temperature of the room was cool and perfect (highly important to me, as i get too hot very easily) I didn't need to put the air conditioning on, as it was already exactly cool enough for me. There's a pathway down to the town below if you don't want to drive there, but we didn't notice it until after we came back from breakfast. It's a very clean hotel. Excellent views, and if you like continental breakfast, you'd give this 5 stars. As it is, it's my 2nd favourite of the 5 hotels, and I would have no hesitation in returning, as I was absolutely charmed by the town of Bandon

With that amount of payment immediately, I presumed that I would be treated well, not have to call the front desk twice, who routed me to the reservation coordinator, and then another two emails to ask for details. The details, once provided, were sparse, and upon asking if I could at least book more rooms if they were available, never received a response, even though I could see that the email had been delivered and read. This was a very disappointing interaction, and in particular when it was for setting up a happy weekend. I have taken my cash to another Inn, where I have had warm customer service, time updates, details on logistics, and a helpfulness which has been stress-reducing. They have even making the effort to call other businesses on my behalf, so to say that their customer service is excellent, is an understatement.

It's very well maintained and landscaped with lots of flower pots and greenery. Check in was quick and easy, and the desk clerk friendly. I got the "Tiny Tim" room which is well suited for the solo traveler; smaller than the other rooms on site, and is also a little cheaper. It was impeccably clean and featured standard amenities like a coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge. It also had a USB charging port on the bedside table, which I always appreciate. Both bed and bath linens were fresh and clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The room is adorned with beautiful coastal photographs taken by the motel owners, who are apparently professional photographers. I'm fine with saving a little money and foregoing the expensive oceanfront or downtown motels. Bandon is so small that it's easy to get around.
