The check in was easy, our host attendant , gave us clear instructions to our airstream. We were a bit confused the first day and evening about how to contact someone after hours. I kept getting the bot when I went on to the website. Finally when I googled Bay Point Landing General store, I found that part of the site. From then on it was a breeze to getting help. The airstream was well stocked. Dishware, glasses, utensils, cookware and cooking utensils. Linens were clean, we even had lovely doggy baskets for our pups. Complete with towels, dishes, treats, leashes and sheets to cover bed and sofa. They have activities everyday to attend. We did the happy hour the first night, it was very nice sitting looking over the water and enjoying a glass or two of wine. I was grateful for the broom that was in the airstream, sweep out the RV multiple times a day. The airstream comes with dish rags and dishes towels, but no dish soap you can purchase that at the General store. This is not glamping, as some reviews seemed to think. But it is a step above RVing in a state park. There are nice amenities and can make as many improvements as you want, but they cost. We were happy with the close proximity to the state parks, restaurants and grocery stores. We look forward to our next stay at Bay Point Landing.

(No OHV allowed to be operated in the park. You must tow them out them start.)

The views can't be beat. The laundry and shower facilities are cleaned everyday by camp hosts. And, the camp hosts are SO helpful. There are NO long term RV's here. It seems that there just be a limit on how long you can stay before you might need to relate to another spot. The laundry is not over priced here. $2 to wash and $1.50 to dry. Last place it was $3 and $3. If you are looking for a in this area-this is it. It sets the bar very high.

The sites in the lower loop seemed fairly tight with limited privacy. The upper loop seemed a bit more private. Lots of shade throughout, facilities were clean (no dump station). We took the Lake Marie loop trail that evening. There seemed to be a few trees down recently, but the trail itself was in pretty good shape. You could also take the trail away from the lake to the dunes. Speaking of those, they're definitely close enough that the sounds of the buggies often reverberated through the entire campground into the night. It didn't keep us up, but it did affect the serenity of the lake.

Our vacation was covered in a horrible rain storm with wind and thunder. That raincoat was quite a blessing. It didn't break the bank. This place is extremely magical and beautiful especially with all the lights. It's definitely a favorite spot. You have to get reservations online now for the event and parking. This eliminated traffic lines and about a 15 minute wait time, but it makes it more difficult to actually see the road in and out without the additional traffic. The actual road to get in is extremely dark and the turn to get in is barely lit up. The parking lot is extremely dark too. The light show is phenomenal and has peaked to prime, but they haven't done anything additional in about 5 years when it would be nice to get solar lights or additional lighting around the entrance and parking lot. It's safer for everyone to help get more lights placed around the parking lot and entrance. It's just too dark and sketchy otherwise. Driving in and out I felt a little uncomfortable without any light or support. Still one of the most magical places in Oregon to see lights, but I do hope additional lighting can be improved for safety reasons.
