I've always wanted to do float therapy from listening to bio-hack podcasts. Walked by beSpa while visiting on vacation. Stopped in and spoke to the owner Mike. He gave a detailed description of all three therapies; Float, Cryo, and Red Light Therapy. Decided to do a 3 session package for me and my wife. My only regret is I wish I would have done this sooner. Floating is something that has to be experienced for yourself. Hard to put into words. If you've ever tried to meditate and just couldn't get there, this is the way to get there. Surreal. Mike really knows his therapies and took the time to explain the benefits in detail. Saw that a new float facility opened up in Redondo Beach and knew I had to go give it a shot. I've been a huge proponent of floating, as it not only help heal your body but also your mind. It helps you relax and if you have never done it, give it a shot! Be Spa has amazing facilities, state of the art equipment, and very nice staff. Made me feel comfortable and welcomed when I first walked in. The float pods were amazing and the hour I spent there seemed to fly by! Be Spa seems to also offer other services like cryo theraphy and red light therapy. I will definitely be back to try those out. They have some kind of membership that knocks down the price of a session to around 33 bucks. I decided to give that a try as you can come back and try both the Cryo and Light therapies. read more

Pretty cool experience. I had no idea what I was getting into, but my gf wanted to try so I said why not. I did both a cryo session and floating. The cryo was cool (no pun intended), but the floating is something I'm more interested in doing again. I always have a lot on my mind. Aside from the work that I do, it's also just part of my personality. In the floating session, I was able to completely let go of my thoughts. When I tell people about my experience I say physically it feels like I'm floating in space. Mentally it was kinda the same. Like nothing on my mind. Just a whole lot of nothingness lol. When I woke up I felt mentally very refreshed. I do meditative type things, but this is kinda on another level. Def check it out at least once. read more

I've done floating therapy before when I was pregnant with my first. It felt very relaxing and I had a pretty cool connection with my baby (could hear the baby's heartbeat). Now I'm pregnant again with my second baby, and my ligament pain increased. My back pain also got worse this go around and I couldn't relax during the second pregnancy. I just started coming here about a week ago and I'm really enjoying it so far! Mike is very kind and walks you through the entire process so you feel comfortable and aware of what to expect. I've been doing the LED light therapy so far and I love it! I initially came here with the intention of diminishing fine lines and wrinkles on my face but ended up really appreciating the whole body LED light machine as well. Be Spa Club has exceeded my expectations! I havent floated many times, but I've floated at many different places (Bali, Colorado, Venice, Redondo Beach). It's super clean and zen. I had been interested in float therapy for a while, but never tried it until a couple months ago when I saw Be Spa open up along my daily commute. Upon walking in, the spa has a calming, zen-like ambiance that primes you for its services. Mike, the owner, is very friendly and does a great job walking first-timers through pre/post-float procedures and what to expect during the float. The facilities were super clean. After the session, there's lotion and hair dryers available. Waiting out in the lobby for me was a hot cup of tea and a ginger candy. It's those small gestures that really make this place wonderful and so welcoming. The float helped me feel really relaxed not just during the session, but for the following couple of days. It was a truly worthwhile experience. Since then, I have gone again and recently became a member in order to make this a more regular escape from some of life's stressors. There are showers and places to change and get ready I'd you have to head out after. It's one of the most beautiful spaces I have seen. I saw that Be Spa opened up in the same shopping center as King Shabu Shabu and wanted to give it a try (especially while they have their introductory pricing too :) I'm a big fan of LED red light therapy as someone who is into skincare, and have seen results on my face after regular sessions and have gotten compliments (it helps produce collagen in a non-invasive, safe way), so I was definitely excited to be able to do it for my whole body. LED Red Light - The equipment is brand new and legitimate FDA approved brands (ie Light Stim, which is what all of the celebrity estheticians use). The room was spacious and everything was set up so that it's pretty straightforward. I removed my clothing and laid down on the LED bed with a towel, and then he came in to turn on the equipment for me. I really appreciated that Mike is knowledgeable and wanted to make sure I got maximum benefits and made sure the proximity of the red lights was accurate, etc. Once the lights were turned on, he left the room and I laid down (music option is available) for 20 minutes on my back first, and then when the bed beeps, I just turned myself over to the front for another 20 minutes so I get maximum coverage for my whole body. I was too scared to try the floating (claustrophobic sometimes) so I went for the LED red light therapy because I'm a huge believer in it's benefits for anti-aging skin maintenance. But I got to see the floating pod and hear the explanation when Mike prepped my boyfriend for it. He had a really good experience so hopefully I'll be able to try that one next time. Last note - they give you hot tea and a little ginger candy at the end that I enjoyed too. read more

Great first time float experience! Mike at the front desk was very helpful and informative, right from the start he let me know what to expect and how to get the most out of my float. The facility was super clean and nice and the pod itself was large enough to not feel claustrophobic. I think those with prior meditation practice will benefit more at first as it takes a little time to acclimate to this new environment and the 60 minutes flies by quickly! Would definitely do it again and actually think it would get better each time you do it. I booked through ClassPass so I can't comment on the pricing but they do offer memberships and another option to buy visits in bulk. I have not tried any of the other services they offer, but would definitely be interested in checking them out in the future. read more

I've done Cryotherapy before at a different spa but never had the experience like I did at Be Spa. Mike, the owner is very knowledgeable and explained every detail about how each session works. I did full body Cryotherapy with Floating therapy. It was my first time doing Floating therapy and found that it's actually 10 times more affective than getting a massage. Spent the last two months here with the unlimited Cryo membership for recovery while training for an upcoming season. I can definitely say my training wouldn't have been the same without being able to utilize the services at Be Spa! Mike always welcomed me with a smile and always had everything ready to go. His communication was also excellent when needing to make changes to appointment times or if I needed to schedule last minute. The Cryo machine was top notch and I always left feeling refreshed! On top of the Cryo services I also got to take advantage of one float session and one red light therapy session per month. This place is amazing! It is always clean and well put. The ambiance is so relaxing and calm. The float pod is really a state of the art. Inside the pod you have the option to change the color of the lights if you like or turn them off. You also have the option to turn on or off the soothing music. The water is always at the correct temperature. You won't have water droplets falling from the top of the pod hitting your face and disrupting your session lol. Mike is very helpful and attentive to any questions or concerns you may have. First time I went in he was very detailed about the whole procedure and made me feel relaxed before starting my session. Definitely recommend this place if it's your first time. You'll walk out of their feeling like a new you. All that weight of stress, tension, anxiety comes right off. I had my first floating therapy experience at Be Spa after a long day at work. They were open late, and totally met my workaholic schedule. Having a lot of questions about floating therapy, the owner was patient and walked me through all of their options -- of which was back by a ton of research! We landed on the floating therapy as my option, as I needed some help recharging where my other mediations methods weren't cutting it. First off, I hate spas. My girlfriend is the one who is into spa treatments and I always declined her offers for join. After her first visit to Be Spa she told me I had to try it out and it wouldn't be what I expected. I have to say she was right, if this is what spas are like I have been missing out. I have a high stress job and it's become the norm. Trying out the float tank I was skeptical, but I don't believe there's any other way to replicate that experience. I've been having terrible pain in my joints from swelling and inflammation. I researched the cryo, redlight therapy and float therapy. All are supposed to be good options for what I have. I had been to one other place that seemed decent but Be Spa Club was wayyyyy cleaner and just a pleasant spa feel all around. Also, Mike is highly knowledgable about the different therapies, do's and don'ts, etc. I felt very comfortable signing up for a membership. Where the other place had a friendly staff but no one who really knew about the therapies like Mike does. I've had some good progress with the redlight therapy so far and will update my review after a few weeks of trying everything out on a consistent basis. read more

I've heard about floating but I was skeptical because I never really meditated before and I was worried I would panic in an enclosed space with no light. However, I went into Be Spa and I told Michael (the owner) my concerns and he was extremely informative and took the time to explain how to let my mind go and to take deep breathes. I got into the floating pod and started my mental journey. Initially, my mind was filled with thoughts and I had the light on and music playing but I decided to do complete sensory deprivation - shut the light off, music off and that's when my racing thoughts started to melt away and I fell into a sort of dream state where I felt like I was completely relaxed but I felt like I could hear myself snoring (haha). Before I knew it, the music cued back on to say my session was over but I was so relaxed I didn't come out. It felt like 5 minutes but it was an hour! I came out rejuvenated and calm. Even my wife noticed my happy and peaceful disposition. With so much stress at work, having a 6 month old child, and sick parents, its been nonstop go, go, go, stress, pressure and that's why I wanted to try and calm my mind to reset and handle anything thrown my way. Floating far exceed my expectations and I highly recommend Be Spa to everyone! The place just opened, everything is so clean, modern, Michael knows his stuff and will be coming back regularly to focus on keeping my mind right in this sensory overloaded world. I also tried cryotherapy while I was there, too and went back the next day. I started with beginner cryo. I had a splitting headache when I went in. It was cold and refreshing and my headache went away! Had a gush of energy. I came back the next day to do intermediate cryo. It was even colder and longer and felt even better! It's like healing the body and pumping you with a burst of energy. I bet it cures hangovers! Anyway, I can't stop saying glowing things about Be Spa!
