Very poor customer service and a total lack of professionalism! I was very fortunate to have avoided ever getting any service done at this establishment. I wasted a full day, my appointment was at 130pm I showed up 15 minutes before my appointment time only to find out that there was no record in the stylist`s book. I was accused of fabricating my appointment based on the the fact that my number was not in the scheduler`s log. Very long story short horrid experience if you value your time and hard earned cash...find another salon to visit. Venture at your own risk! read more

Brandie is amazing!!!! I was recommended by a mutual friend and made an appointment right away. She does wonders with your hair..... She studies it and let's you know what it needs and wants. I am a lazy curly girl. I hate spending time on my hair and she could tell. She told me my hair was thirsty and that I needed to give it what it needed.... So I did and two weeks later my hair looks healthier... Her steam treatments are amazing, her products are amazing and her personality is amazing. The hour I spent with her was like I've known her all my life.... She shares the silliest stories and her love for hair shines through her personality. Unfortunately my experience didn't go so well as others.. this being my first curly cut I was extremly excited. I showed Brandi some ideas I had in mind for my new cut she had no desire in looking at them.. My time there was very rushed and unpleasant she really didn't work with me. While washing my hair her assistant complained the whole time saying i was "tinder headed" instead of making me feel comfortable. then they stuck me under the dryer for almost 45 mins as she worked on other people. my hair was STILL wet so her and her assistant again rushed diffusing my hair to get me out of there. I also asked for hair advice she told me to do whatever I normally do and walked away they were very unprofessional and rude I was pretty upset with spending my hard earn money there just to get that kind of treatment. I find the negative review very odd and untrue. Brandie has been doing my hair for over 4 years and I find her very professional, talented and kind spirited. I drive from San Diego all the way to Temecula because she is the ONLY person I have been able to find that not only does excellent work as a stylist, but continues to educate me on how to condition, maintain, and improve the health of my hair. In addition, she is such a treat to be around. I always have a good laugh when i'm there and she even MORE than tolerates my two toddlers tearing apart her salon when I need to bring them with me. I recommend her to the fullest degree and challenge anyone who has actually had an experience with her to say otherwise. read more

I never post reviews, but I had to share my AMAZING experience at Be Kekoa......I have had my hair relaxed for 35 years. I recently made the decision to grow out the relaxer & go natural. I was extremely nervous, right up to yesterday, when I had my appointment with Brandie, at Be Kekoa. I walked in to a clean shop, friendly stylist & patrons. Brandie was wonderful! She spent time getting to know my hair goals, teaching me about my hair type & telling me what would be best for me. They provided me with a prescription for maintaining my hair, in between appts...She & her AWESOME Assistant, Francis have blessed hands and were performing hair miracles in this place!! The Temecula Valley has a first-class, subject matter expert hidden away in this welcoming salon. I have had the pleasure and displeasure of trying various salons that claim to specialize in naturally curly hair all across the USA as a military spouse. If I were too keep it short and sweet, I'd simply say the quality of Brandie's work, Be Kekoa products, the salon's smoking prices are "bar none." But I won't stop there. If you're like me and had you're hair butchered or your curl nearly destroyed by a so called "expert" sometime through your life, you WILL value an appreciate a salon where the stylists give full attention to what their clients are saying and asking, taking time to understand the points being made, and asking clarifying questions as appropriate. They are soooo service oriented! You feel like a guest your first visit, and a friend your second visit and thereafter. My first visit nearly a year ago I was new to the area and skeptical. It was easy to make an appointment and didn't take long more than a week to get in. I was seen on time and out on time for a cut, color, and style. What I've appreciated and admired about this gem of a salon (and more specifically Brandie) is their active, ongoing learning that is passed on to their clientele. This is key to success in so many industries, including this one. I have learned more about my naturally, curly hair from Be Kekoa's professional, caring, thoughtful staff in a year than I have in several decades. I was very surprised by the review provided by Karina. She must have been having a bad day. Brandie's spirit is evident from the moment you meet her. She couldn't be more professional and caring about YOU, her client, and more importantly about your hair. She is very serious about providing the best service possible. Each time you sit in her chair she takes the time to examine your hair and determine what is the best for the continued health of your hair. I have fine hair and my hair feels healthy and 'happy' instead of thinning and falling out due to overheated treatments. This is the first time I have ever written a review. I am 52 yrs old and have had curly hair my whole life. I have never ever had anybody know more than Brandie did for cutting curly hair. She knows 3 diff techniques to cutting curly hair, because there are so many diff kinds of curls. Let me tell you, my hair looks amazing. It has shape and a good curl. Both my girls have been going to Be Kekoa for about 2 years now. One is 15 and the other is 5. My first interaction was setting their appointment with Charmaine she is very accommodating and such a pleasure to speak to. When the girls went to their first appointment there the first thing I remember is hearing laughter coming from the door, the minute you walk into the salon you are welcomed by Brandie and Audra and even some clients. To say that my girls are just a client is an understatement, they treat you like family. Brandie is very knowledgeable on maintaining healthy hair, she is the REAL DEAL! And A CURLY HAIR EXPERT! Also Audra Brandie's assistant makes the team complete it's been such a wonderful experience having both ladies take care of my girls. The two are the Dynamic Duo! My older daughter came in with very damaged hair from over using her flat iron and my 5 year old had really dry curly hair. After their first appointment I left there with two very happy girls. It has taken sometime for Brandie to reverse the damage done to my daughter's hair by her own doing but since going to Be Kekoa her hair is hydrated, growing and it always has a beautiful sheen. My 5 year old has curls for days and I can say her hair as well is very hydrated and her curls are more bouncy and healthier than ever. Also I love the products, every Sunday I wash their hair with Be Clair Clarifying Shampoo and Condition with Be Clean Cleansing Conditioner. For my 5 year old I style her hair using the Be Hold gel, Be Clean Conditioner and sometimes the Kekoa Curly Girl Souffle. Products are amazing and speak for themselves; we get the same salon results when using the products at home. To be honest if I could rate Be Kekoa higher than 5 stars I would.
