When I checked out, the woman told me that she didn't have the pennies to find me change…read more There was no sign around the register stating that change would not be found for customers or that pennies were on shortage. She did not notify me verbally of this prior to me paying in cash (which I did to avoid the 4% credit card fee). That's essentially theft. You can't keep money just because you're short. If pennies are so inconsequential, then give back the customer a nickel instead. I bet business would put up a huge fit if the customer asked them to just take less than what they're owed. Not only that, when I paused in taking the cash, the woman then goes into the till and says, "I have ONE penny." So... essentially you lied first about not having any pennies, and you're still short on giving me my change. Can you imagine taking your grandma/nona's $5 to the candy store, then coming back with a receipt that you spent $1 but don't have the rest of her change to return? Absolutely not.

I've seen some comments about the consommé not being salty enough... but let's be real: if you think that, you probably don't know what real Mexican food is supposed to taste like. The street tacos are also a solid choice if you want to try a few different things. But whatever you do, don't leave without dessert. There are so many amazing options, plus ice cream! I highly recommend the strawberries with Dubai chocolate--they are absolutely divine. I'm still dreaming about that rich pistachio and chocolate combo... seriously unforgettable. Third Street Social is set back from NW Barry Road in mixed use- Appartments and Retail. We ordered a few happy hour menu items, a bottle of Riesling, and a Prime Rib Sandwich. The HH Brussels and cauliflower were awesome, the BBQ burnt ends were definitely a KC style Pork Belly ( know that's it's pork belly, not a BBQ restaurant "burnt ends " ) If Nora is taking care of you, you're gonna have a smooth experience. She's patient and attentive. The Prime Rib sandwich was flavorful and the Rare Ribeye was Tender. The presentation on the Taco was a miss.
