The newest on Antioch in Gladstone is Suvee Sweets Cakerie. I went in today and took home a small cake on what was their third day in operation. The opening special was a slice of cake with any purchase; so I had a slice of white wedding cake with my 5" Hummingbird Cake for $7.99. no issues with the Wedding Cake, but man oh man was the Hummingbird delicious! With pineapple, banana and cinnamon in the cake and iced with one of the thickest and wonderful crème cheese icings; I have found my new favorite cake! They are not only offering cakes, but cookies, pastries, breads, cupcakes... The front case looks beautiful. Five stars for The Hummingbird Cake!! read more

Run! Do not walk! I found this gem and so glad I did. Cakes, cupcakes, cookies, pies, breads, etc. everything a sweet tooth might ache for. I could not make up my mind because there were so many options. So of course I went with a flight (6 variety) of cupcakes and a giant chocolate chip cookie. The cookie melted in my mouth. Literally.
