We used Be Green Carpet Cleaning to come out and 'Clean" our carpets and couch. We have three dogs and two young children and we wanted to refresh our carpets and couch. We had seen an advertisement for Be Green Carpet Cleaning and thought it would be great to give them a try. What we didn't realize is that they don't actually come out with legitimate equipment to clean the carpets. Our carpet cleaning technician showed up in a blue van and pulled out a carpet rake, a vacuum from Target (we have the same model) and a bucket that his solution that he would apply to our carpets with a scrub brush. He walked around our house for the next few hours "cleaning" our carpets with a scrub brush that you would use to wash your dishes with to clean my carpets. He said that it would penetrate the layers of fibers and it would get out all of the dirt and stains that were in my carpet. That didn't happen. Every stain that existed in my carpet is still there and some he made worse by scrubbing with his scrub brush. What didn't happen is having my entire house of carpet professionally cleaned. What did happen is that I was bait and switched on the pricing. They quoted me $200.00 to come in to clean my carpets because they initially had the dates wrong for our service and had to come to our house last second because they were in the area on the wrong day. No problem we scrambled and got things ready and accommodated them on a moments notice. What they didn't tell me is they were actually going to charge us $1300.00 in the end. To quote people $200.00 and then actually charge you 5x that is outrageous. I would never in a million years have anticipated what we experienced. I would never recommend their services. We are left with rooms with stains, areas that were not cleaned/treated that needed to be and crusty carpet where he left his solution sloshed on my carpet. I hired them for the second time to clean my carpets. but this time I felt too pushed on decision making by the cleaner. he talked too much and made me feel like I was making up stuff. I don't have any before and after pictures to share but after he was done the carpet looked fluffed instead of downtrodden, the few stains I had were all gone, and the rooms had a lovely citrus scent to them. Second time I have used them. Ben was so courteous and helpful. Having recently undergone a cancer surgery I was unable to move anything out of the room. Ben did it all for me! These people really work hard. They thoroughly vaccuum the carpet, then clean and deordorize it, then rake it to get the fibers refreshed and standing up. Carpets look and smell great. When the gentleman arrived, he immediately began to upsell me on several services. I adamantly told him that I only want the carpet cleaned. I have no pets, so I didn't need special cleaner for pets and I didn't need protectant sprayed on the carpet. He continued to try to upsell me. He told need that the Groupon that I bought for $89 was the regular rate and not a special. Keep in mind the Groupon says that the $89 is 65% off of normal price. After he finished with his spill, the price was up to $400. No thank you!!! 1st of all, if you are a good carpet cleaning company, your work should stand firm itself without extras added. I ordered the groupon and purchased an extra upholstery cleaning only after speaking with a representative over the phone. The carpet cleaning Groupon was about $80 and the upholstery cleaning on my sofa was $123.72. The problem is the equipment they use is not up to standards and does not actually get everything clean the way it should. When hiring a service I am paying for something I can not do on my own with normal public bought equipment like my moms bissell carpet cleaner and a rag and cleaning solution. Unfortunately that is what I received from this company and perhaps carpet wise not even as good as that. As you can see in the pictures the 'professional grade vacuum' promised is actually a professional shark that is not what I as a previous business owner of a cleaning company would call professional. It is a basic vacuum with substandard suction for families who have dog hair or extra messes. The picture of the carpet cleaner is what is used. It is a carpet scrubber attachment on the bottom often used to polish floors or scrub a carpet before suction. However be green uses this as the only carpet cleaner and no steam or suction equipment. The technician stated that the solution works as a trap for dirt and will vacuum up once it dries. Going over my carpets I found a light sticky substance that I steamed with a steam iron and came right up with a scrub. Luckily for him my carpets were already in spotless condition. I also found a tiny blueberry stain that came right up with some steam. So the equipment they use is just not up to standard and I have asked my mother to bring her bissell so we can suck up all the dirt that I expect to still be buried in my carpets. The sofa cleaning was the biggest disappointment and not because of the technician who was offended when I mentioned I wasn't happy with the process and not necessarily his work. He just got some solution and a rag and scrubbed my sofa. And that was it. It took less then a half an hour which is not at all what the representative explained on the phone. I was told it was an intensive process of first vacuuming, then scrubbing every corner and more layers of work that would be done over a course of two hours. On hindsight the rep did not explain the layers of work after scrubbing and I did assume they had some steam or suction cleaning. Particularly since I asked if it was just a scrub then I wasn't interested and stated I was a professional cleaner. I could have thrown my pillow cases and sofa covers in the washing machine instead of having a $123 wipe over. Or since I am a professional cleaner bought some solution and did it myself. I will be asking for a refund on my sofa clean. Lastly the technician was polite and got straight to work. However when I told him I was disappointed in the process of the upholstery cleaning he seemed offended. I felt bad so tried to explain that it was not his work but the process the company has the technicians doing that is rubbish. He still felt it was personal even after I tried to reassure him and I feel bad for him. My only complaint is that he did not do the shoe area where an easy to move stool and mats are near the door. My yelp review is that this company needs to invest in better equipment that sucks dirt and debris up instead of scrubbing it deeper into carpets. And have higher standards of cleaning such as free deodorizer so homes smell and look clean after their finished. No steam cleaning was provided which was promised as advertised! read more

I purchased their services through a Groupon - and wow what a MISTAKE! The day-of comes and I we are waiting around... and: 10:15am: We decide to give customer service a call at 10:15am - wow they only have 45min to get here... and we were told - "oh they are on their way - dont worry they have until 11am" (eyeroll)... 10:45am rolls around: We call again - still not there... 11:10am rolls around: We call AGAIN... and this time (sorry Disbatch lady) but they are out of time. And she gives us the excuse that apparently the cleaner "had a family emergency that he "JUST" called in for". I'm sorry, but if you have a family emergency and you know you need to be somewhere 8-11 - YOU call it in BEFORE 11:15am. ?!?!?!?! Worst part is that she reassures me that they will "make it right" - well sadly we're on a tight timeline because we are moving and there are very few days LEFT to have a cleaner before the movers come. We are told they will "give us a discount" and "make it right"... we schedule a new date/time but required they have cleaners arrive closer to 8am, because we cannot miss work the full day. The customer service confirms and promises that it'll be closer to 8am - guaranteed. (fast forward a week to the "rescheduled" date): My boyfriend stays home from work AGAIN to be there during the 8-11am slot when we get a call from the cleaners saying they are "running late and will be there closer to 11am".... OH HELLLLLLL NO. (apparently like MANY others on Yelp this company cannot get their scheduling right). We urge him to get there as soon as he cans. They get there around 10am... and the job was HALF-ASSED at best. They didn't have ANY vacuums or suction ... they just spread around the dirt and spots weren't even treated when the carpet dries. Quality and detail is NOT their forte. I had LAMPS... light, easy lifting, lamps that they worked around - leaving a square perimeter around a round lamp base?!? They were so lazy or in a hurry that they couldn't move a LAMP!? The worst was that they raked the carpet and cleaned with a "buffer" looking machine but left a 1" RIM around the whole rooms... that was still dirty - dust bunnies, etc. as if the inch around the edge by the walls was untouched... which MOST companies that I've hired in the past clean up to the wall because they have vacuums.
