Chipped dip color change.. 8 days after spending $70.

I hate leaving bad reviews.. but I wish I knew more before trying this place out. Everywhere I looked there were positive reviews, so I was excited to give it a try. The atmosphere was nice, and my nail tech was very sweet. This is why I have hesitated to leave a review & the only reason I give it an extra star. Everything else about this place was very poor. To start off, it took 2.5 hours to get a solid color dip color change! Thankfully, I had no other plans that day. Not only that, very very limited color choices, with no reference to see what the color would look like on the nail. To top it off, I paid $70 before tip for a simple dip color change... no tip added, and no designs. That is ridiculous, especially considering all of the other aspects of this visit. It has been 8 days and 5 of my nails are chipped.

I called this morning to get an acrylic soak off and acrylic overlay. I was told $15 for the soak off and $45 for the overlay. A bit overpriced but the nails on Instagram looked good. After 1.5 hours of soak off and another 2 hours of overlay with a questionable shape from Liz, Scarlet did a French tip 'design'. I didn't realize it but I would be charged $25 extra for it. Honestly if I had a better nail shape, neat polish, and no cuts on my fingers (I counted two) I wouldn't mind paying $85. I've looking for a spot to get my bails done in Highland Park for two years. Sadly my search is not over.

Nice, clean place. Definitely need to call in to make appointments ! Nail tech took 3 hours for my gel mani and pedi, very meticulously done.

Terrible customer service! Made an appointment for two people for SNS powder only to find out it's one at a time, what nail place does this? If you're going with your gf or mom, or whomever just know they'll be waiting for you to be done before they can help you, ridiculous. So you'll be at the nail salon for over 2 hours! Most nail places in the area will do everything in their power to finish same time as your friend even if you're not getting the same service. The manager there did not apologize for such miscommunication, but assured me that I was told this on the phone.. when I didn't even speak to him. He was completely unprofessional, and was not focusing on doing anything for the customer. Bad impression for a new salon. Additionally before I started my session I asked him how many people knew SNS powder and he said 4, when I sat down only 1 person knew SNS (the lady helping me)it was just a way to fool me in sitting down for my nails. I can go on, but just know they are not very experienced technicians especially for SNS powder, I spent $40 which is more than I typically spent for a worse service and on a nail brand I was unfamiliar with, who knows where they source their products from. It's a shame they had such bad management I have sisters, and family friends who could of benefited for a new place nearby, their loss. UPDATE: my nails are a week old and I have 3 chipped nails

Gel French manicure after 5 days

Updating to 1 star because of the status of my "gel" pedicure not even 2 weeks later... lol

Double charged and incorrectly charged.

This salon needs some more lessons in customer service and development. I called the salon prior to booking and was given a price for gel pedi & acrylic on my big toes ($31.50+$15=$46.50). There was a special on the site at the time of booking and I was only required to pay a deposit of $15.75. When I got to the salon there was a back and forth discussion of how much the acrylic on my toes would be and they had to call a manager. The manager proceeded to tell me that the price has changed on the acrylic and it's now $20 but I told her that when I went to Barbie beauty it was $15 and they are under the same management so when one isn't available I always go to the other. She then says okay I'll tell the tech to charge $15 for the acrylic toes (big toes). When I was checking out the bill came to $50.30 +$6 tip. I didn't realize that this salon didn't honor the special as I booked online and they went ahead and changed me $50.30 versus $46.50 and they also took my deposit and did not return my money. I have filed a dispute with my bank because how the heck did a $31.50 gel pedicure plus $15 come to $50? And you took my deposit and didn't apply it to the bill. How does that make any sense? Please keep your techs knowledgeable of how to check out properly and return my money due because this is absolutely ridiculous.

It's one of the most affordable prices I have seen. I try to go when they first open at 930am so I don't have to wait. Otherwise, going any other time you might have to wait anywhere from 30 mins to over an hour depending how busy they are. You can make a reservation but even if you do you still might have to wait. I've experienced that twice myself so I stopped making reservations. They always take their time to make sure your nails come out good. It usually takes about an 1 hr&20 mins give or take for a mani and pedi. They have a wide range of colors to choose from. My gel manicure always lasts for 2 weeks or more. Despite the long wait sometimes, definitely a great nail salon worth going to if you're in the area. Check it out!

I recently visited for a gel pedicure ($45), and unfortunately, the experience was highly…read moredisappointing. The older gentleman who worked on my nails showed a clear lack of attention to detail, and frankly didn't want to be there. He didn't push my cuticles, trim or shape my nails, nor did he roughen the surface to help the gel adhere properly. I had interrupted and asked him to do these things which was not done. All other staff were with other patrons. Additionally, he used a dirty emery board on my skin (not nails), which was of course ineffective. The polish application was sloppy, with excessive bubbling and uneven coverage, resembling a toddler's attempt, with more on my skin than my nails. When I politely asked for corrections, he rubbed the dirty emery board on my painted skin, with no improvement. The massage was practically nonexistent, callouses were barely touched. Eventually, I asked a kind older woman there to fix the mess, and she did what she could to improve it. Overall, I left feeling very disappointed by the service and the quality of the pedicure. Will never return when visiting this area.

Bloom Nails and Spa - Sloppy, bubbling, not shaped, not roughened so gel could adhere. Extremely disappointing.
