Parking is in the front (sometimes a bit congested) and plentiful in the back (trust me, keep driving). The grounds are organized crystal clear- succulents, perennials, annuals, trees, etc. They are also very well staffed with people who truly understand plants- that's so nice and what they're known for: they truly LOVE plants! Look for the blue tshirts! They're happy to help! I wish they had somewhere to eat on the grounds. Or at least a coffee cart! Sometimes everyone just needs a little snack;) While their prices are pricier, I'd rather support these guys than Home Depot.

It was not busy that day (this past Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day weekend) so that's super odd. But it's a gorgeous place to walk and choose plants. They are also one of the few places that still have organic veggie plants in the spring with heirloom vegetables. Their roses are spectacular.

I am writing to share my appreciation for the exceptional service I received during a recent…read moredelivery from Platt Hill Bloomingdale location. I purchased a 30-inch ceramic planter and was originally told it would be left on my driveway. However, upon arrival, the delivery man, Jeff, went above and beyond. He rang the doorbell to notify me of his arrival. To my surprise Jeff kindly offered to move the heavy planter closer to its final destination. In addition to all this unexpected act of kindness, Jeff positioned it so effectively that moving this heavy planter into its final spot was effortless. Thanks to his extra effort, the planter is now exactly where I need it. When I offered Jeff a tip to show my gratitude for his care and helpfulness, he graciously declined, saying he was just happy to help. It is rare to encounter such genuine professionalism. You are fortunate to have someone like Jeff representing your company.

This experience was disappointing. I ordered a sympathy…read morearrangement for a friend who had just lost her uncle. Unfortunately, what was delivered looked nothing like a professionally designed arrangement. I understand that the arrangement wouldn't look exactly like the picture on their website The problem was the overall quality. The arrangement looked unbalanced, unfinished, and lacked the care you would expect, especially for a sympathy piece. What was even more frustrating was how this was handled afterward. Instead of offering a solution, I was repeatedly asked to provide more pictures. Under normal circumstances, that might be reasonable -- but asking me to go back to someone who is actively grieving just to gather more photos feels completely insensitive and inappropriate. To make matters worse, the only resolution offered was a $10 refund, which is barely the delivery fee. At no point was there a genuine effort to make things right, there was no replacement offered or a meaningful resolution. I would have much rather worked with a florist who values both quality and customer experience, especially during moments like this. Unfortunately, I can't recommend based on this experience.

He and his team worked very hard and did an excellent job, making our space look clean and beautiful. The owner went out of his way to speak with me personally before the job and also afterwards to ensure what was best and also that understood what was best for the plants and how to upkeep the property. He was very detailed and knowledgeable and genuinely interested in the maintenance of our space, to the extent that he spent extra effort on his own time in explaining to me how to address certain areas, what to buy/ not to buy in order to maintain more cost effectively, and how to upkeep myself long-term. It seemed the other florists didn't want to work with me and I think it was because of my low budget. Some said they would sell me flowers for me to make the centerpieces myself, but then they would say that the flowers I wanted wouldn't arrive in time--it was too late to get what I wanted by the date of my event. I resolved to the fact that I would just buy grocery store flowers, whatever they had in stock, and make the arrangements myself. But then I connected with Breanne, the owner of Floral Excellence in South Elgin, and I'm so glad I did! I told Breanne what my budget was, what I was looking for, and when I needed them, which was by the way, not a very high budget, and relatively last minute--within a couple weeks of my event. I expected her to give me the same story as the other florists, but Breanne basically said she WANTED to make this happen for me and she WOULD make it happen!!! When no other florists would! She came up with a lovely design for each centerpiece, it was the colors I wanted, it was within my budget, included the labor for them to arrange the flowers (not just me purchasing the flowers and making them myself), and they delivered them to my party venue! When I arrived at the venue for my event, her girl Eryn had set them up so pretty on all the guest tables and display tables and they were so lovely! They were perfect! When I felt that no other florist was interested in helping me, Floral Excellence WANTED to make my arrangements and did them so lovely! I would highly recommend them for any event, big or small. They clearly go above and beyond, they listen to what your needs are, and they make sure your event, no matter what it is, is a beautiful one! I will definitely use them again! Thank you Breanne and Eryn from Floral Excellence!!!
