This experience was disappointing. I ordered a sympathy arrangement for a friend who had just lost her uncle. Unfortunately, what was delivered looked nothing like a professionally designed arrangement. I understand that the arrangement wouldn't look exactly like the picture on their website The problem was the overall quality. The arrangement looked unbalanced, unfinished, and lacked the care you would expect, especially for a sympathy piece. What was even more frustrating was how this was handled afterward. Instead of offering a solution, I was repeatedly asked to provide more pictures. Under normal circumstances, that might be reasonable -- but asking me to go back to someone who is actively grieving just to gather more photos feels completely insensitive and inappropriate. To make matters worse, the only resolution offered was a $10 refund, which is barely the delivery fee. At no point was there a genuine effort to make things right, there was no replacement offered or a meaningful resolution. I would have much rather worked with a florist who values both quality and customer experience, especially during moments like this. Unfortunately, I can't recommend based on this experience. read more

Joy did a good job on the arrangement that I ordered. I found a beautiful premium arrangement on her website, and I asked if she could do one like it but also include a ribbon with words on it.  She agreed right away. The whole process was very fast and easy. Joy is very efficient and produces beautiful arrangements. She gave me a great price compared to other florists in the area. I've never been to her store, but my friend did, and said the store was clean and very well stocked. I did not give 5 stars because I wish the arrangement was more full like the picture on the website, especially since this was a premium arrangement. I wanted to support a local florist and found them on Google Maps. The lady on the phone was extremely polite and kind. Their delivery charge is less compared to other florists around. I chose the deal of the day because she assured me that she would make the banquet with the freshest flowers and arrangements and she did not disappoint! I spent $86.79 on a bouquet that I could have gotten at Jewels for $15-20. I will never ever recommend that anyone buy flowers from this place. It's not even the flowers I ordered. Not to mention its missing some flowers. I called to let them know that, that was not what I had ordered. She tells me "oh we ran out of flowers so we gave you those" excuse me what? Then you call me to let me know or better yet it should have been cheeper! She says " of well the majority of the money was for delivery". I said how far was the delivery. She says 45 minutes. If I could give zero stars I would. I went in to order flowers for my recently passed father. We had a strict budge and the short Hispanic lady in the counter area had quoted us a price for a couple of arrangements. I was with my sister in laws and there were different opinions. I was overwhelmed so we decided to take a break for lunch. I returned three hours later and the same lady retracted her previous offer. She said she would not be able to honor the same price because we had left. She then rudely proceeded to ask what other shops we went to, if we had gotten a discount at the other places. On top of it all she tried to charge us more than the flower arrangement was even listed at, as if it were punishment. I was taken back at how unsympathetic and cold she was. My father passed two days prior and navigating the loss of a parent is hard enough as-is. I could not imagine having my fathers ashes next to an arrangement made by this establishment. read more

We have used this florist several times, and always get great service. I bought a corsage for my Mom's birthday, and it was beautifully done. She also had flowers delivered for her birthday, and Joy Flowers was the florist. The arrangement was beautiful, and it is now over a week and the bouquet is still beautiful! I ordered a corsage for my daughter for her daddy daughter dance. The lady I spoke with was wonderful. I asked for white roses with navy ribbon and to have some sort of sparkle, gem, or glitter added if possible. I was told that would not be a problem at all. I was able to pay when I ordered it which was wonderful cause the day of was full of running around. While the corsage was beautiful it was very simple. It sadly did not have any extra sparkle at all. It was 4 beautiful small white roses with a lovely navy ribbon and that was it. In all honestly I might not have been clear on what I meant by adding something sparkly. My daughter loved it and could have cared less that it did not have any sparkle. while I was disappointed that it did not have the little extra, the service and end result were wonderful. Worst Experience Ever! My husband came in trying to get flowers and there is a sign at the door that says that a mask should be worn, which he had on. One of the ladies asks him why he didn't call instead of coming in....he replied that the phones were busy and the door is open with an open sign so he thought to come in instead, I'm not sure why he was asked that. Is it because he is Black? Anyways so the lady answers my husband questions about a delivery time, as he is about to place an order another lady come out (Hispanic short lady) of the back and asks the First Lady what my husband is doing there? (Ok I'm really confused is this not a store?, I would understand if it was your personal house but you have a store front for customers to come into) the lady then asked my husband to leave......TO LEAVE! Again is it because he is black? A black man wearing a mask trying to buy flowers for his wife. We live in the neighborhood and it's very upsetting because he wanted to support local especially during these times but one things is for sure we will not be returning and I will be sure to let others know how bad the customer service is here! read more

Today was the first time I ordered flowers from this shop. My special someone happens to currently be staying in Aurora and I needed a flower delivery fast! I called around 1:30pm and I asked if I could have them delivered to her workplace before 3pm. At first the nice lady (I believe it was Joy) told me that was going to be a tough request to accommodate. I'm sure she noticed the disappointment in my voice because she told me to hang on and she'd ask the driver if it were possible. In little less than two minutes she called me back and told me it was possible! Ecstatic, I thanked her for making it possible! I ordered a Your Special Day bouquet in the shape of a birthday cake for my mother's 57th birthday, and although the flowers were not the exact same as in the pictures online, it still was presented well and beautiful. Delivery was swift and if you use Teleflora and the 20% off coupon code (available via lovely Google search), your flower order may be even cheaper! However, I'm taking a star off because the bouquet was delivered to our front step without a box, bag or any sort of protective covering. Even though we returned in time to receive the flowers without any problem, it would still be considerate to include a protective covering for our flower cake, especially since they are in such an interesting arrangement. Also, there were no care instructions/flower food for our flowers, so I am unsure as to how long they'll last (if long at all). read more

I would never go to again. Horrible service. My fiancé got me an arrangement for Valentine's Day and it was the right one. He called they said oh they would fix it Monday and he said no. Then the second one comes and the box it came in was soaked along with the stuffed animal that he picked for it. He called back and they were not willing to help him out at all. As I brought them home from work since the box was wet the fell over in the carea and to top things off I have only had them 3 days and they are already dying. The started to look dead yesterday. Case of the picky Fiancée... Amazing and flawless experience ovrall. First and definitely NOT the last time I use Joy. As a man looking for the perfect setup for his picky fiancée, i came to them without a single clue of what I wanted. Joy was extremely helpful when it came to flower type, color, and all around coordination with the arrangement. You can tell the staff was really into their customer's needs and their own craft, and not just making a quick buck like most other shops i've dealt with. I highly recommend this business not only as a consumer, but as a person who appreciates the art and attention to detail in their products. Even if it meant them not making as much profit from the items I chose (although they're already very fairly priced) They will most certainly be my go-to florist going forward. I ordered flowers for my mother for Valentine's Day. I upgraded one level to Deluxe and expected something fairly nice. The bouquet of tulips and alstroemerias was very skimpy. The tulips were white rather than the bright pink pictured. I had them delivered the day before Valentines because I thought the quality would be higher - not so! Mom was disappointed - I could tell from her voice. When I visited and saw the flowers three days later, they were already wilting and turning brown. Bad experience and a waste of $64.00! read more

I'm normally very easy going and don't write reviews even when the service is not up to par. But I'm at the point where I can no longer accept bad customer service. The 2nd week of April I ordered a corsage and boutonniere for my cousin's high school prom. Since 1996 I have always ordered my flowers for any occasion from Joy Florist on Eola Rd in Aurora. In the past I have always been pleased with there product and the attention given to make sure my arrangements were above standard. I ordered calla lily flowers with Silver ribbon, and black accent ribbon and rhinestone. I explained the guys suit was black and the girls dress was silver with rhinestone so only use the black as an accent. She showed me a a black ribbon she could use as the accent which looked fine. I went over, pick up times and explained I would not be in town and I would have someone pick up. They said that was no problem. I paid cash and left. The prom was May 4th so I called the beginning of that week to follow up on my order to make sure everything was going to ready for pick up on Friday or Saturday. They could not find my order. I gave them all my information went over the order gave my the receipt number and there still was no record of the order. Finally she found it and assured me that there would be no problem picking up on Friday any time after 2:30pm or before close for both days. My cousin picked up the order since I was working in Missouri that weekend. When I returned home Sunday and was shown the product; it was well below the standards of what I ordered. The ribbon was black accent ribbon instead of silver, and a thin strip of silver ribbon was used as the accent, plus there were no rhinestones, and it was super small with a grassy fern looking accent piece. I took the product in on Monday and was told I would have to wait until the person who prepared my order came in. I refused to leave the product at the store because at this point I didn't want to chance anything. I spoke over the phone with the person who prepared the order she explained she was tired and didn't read the entire order and would give me $10 back. I explained to her I wanted a full refund because the product was not at all what I ordered she said she had a customer and hung up. We spoke again the following morning and she still tried to explain she was busy and forgot the rhinestone. I was calm with her until she started yelling and making up reason why the rhinestone weren't added. I advise her that when I called to follow up on the order she mentioned nothing about she couldn't add the rhinestone because the stem of the calla lily wouldn't hold the pin with the crystal. I explained when I ordered I told her she could glue rhinestone on the ribbon or flower I just wanted it with the bling so it could sparkle to match the dress and stand out against the black suit. and even went back over the order during the follow-up. I asked were there any problems with making it and asked if I need to resend a copy of the picture I emailed them at time of order back in April and her response was no. Finally she tells me to "Come get my damn money!" I was not cursing nor yelling at her during the whole conversation. I go to the store to get the refund and she refuses stating I needed to bring her back the product.. I only had the corsage as the boutonniere had withered and died and was thrown out. I placed the item on the counter but would not give it to her until I received my money. She starts yelling again and once again we start back up until I pulled my phone out and told her I was calling the police. And she grabs and envelope with the money in it. All of this because I refused to accept a product that looked like it was made at a kids beginners art class. I paid $60 and was not going to accept a product that look liked it had been thrown together in a rush at the last minute. As I told her I've been ordering here for over 20 years and have never had an experience like this. We all work hard for our money and should get quality products and service we pay for. I'm tired of companies thinking they can treat you like trash and take your money. I 'm not sure if Joy Florist has changed to new management or just don't care about there customers anymore but they are differently not the company they use to be. I will no longer be supporting this company any longer.. read more
