I went to Jiffy Lube on Saturday for a simple oil change and tire rotation, in the process, they…read moreended up breaking off three studs from my back right tire and told me to go to Tire Kingdom to fix it. Tire Kingdom looked at it and said they don't want to touch it and there's nothing they can do to fix it as it's Jiffy Lube's responsibility. So now I'm sitting here with a car that is not operable and both shops don't know how to fix it, however, both said I should go to Japanese Auto Care to get it fixed. I came to Japanese Auto Care early Monday morning, fully expecting them to tell me to take it to a Mazda dealership or that they would be too busy to take me. To my pleasant surprise, that was not the case at all. Jimmy immediately said he would be able to get it taken care of and get me up and running same day. Jimmy called around to make sure that someone was able to provide the studs that were specific to my car, and kept me updated along the way. More importantly, while I sat there waiting for my car to be done (in a very clean and comfortable waiting room might I add), lots and lots of people filtered in and out, either picking up or dropping off, speaking to Jimmy as if they were family, considering they have been coming here for so long. Jimmy answered every single phone call that came through no matter how busy he was, and had such a kind and professional demeanor with each individual person he spoke to. Within a few hours I was finally headed home, thanks to Jimmy and team. They were able to do what other "popular" and corporate auto body shops couldn't. I know one thing that I have struggled with for the 11 years I've had my car, is finding a trustworthy, dependable mechanic, and I think I have finally found the one.

Older Ford Ranger/high mileage pickup truck was dripping oil from the oil pan and possibly from the…read moremotor. I took it to Arnst Ocean Auto, Matt looked it over and added UV dye to check for possible other leaks in the engine after cleaning off the oil. He suggested since the trans. had to come out to remove the oil pan-(Ford), that I have the slave cylinder replaced since it's w/in the trans bell housing.... Matt made a good call as it was really worn which could have been bad had it failed. I made appointment for the work to be done. Matt took care to cover the seats with a blanket and a paper mat was placed on the floor even though I don't have carpeting, but my interior is clean. The mechanic, Lou checked for any other leaks, thankfully none found. Lou did a fantastic job. This was no easy job since many parts had to be removed just to get the trans and oil pan out. When done, he test drove it and rechecked for any leaks and re checked all new fluid levels. Lou was able to get this job done in one day! I was very Impressed! I was happy to take my truck home the same day. It even shifts smoother now. I can't say enough about Matt & Lou at Arnst Automotive in Delray Beach, I'm a fussy owner & was very happy with their work. Thanks guys!

I had a really frustrating experience with this shop. I was charged $200 for a "diagnosis," only to…read morefind out it was basically just an assumption--and it ended up being wrong. When I went back to address it, instead of taking responsibility, I was met with attitude and told there was nothing they could do because they "assumed." That's not what a professional diagnosis is supposed to be. If I'm paying that kind of money, I expect actual testing and accurate information--not guesswork. What made it worse was the way I was treated when I brought it up. The boss had a smart mouth and seemed completely uninterested in fixing the situation or even meeting me halfway. I understand mistakes can happen, but the lack of accountability and poor customer service is what really stands out here. I would not recommend this place if you're expecting honest diagnostics and professional treatment. I paid for a professional diagnosis, not an assumption. If the issue wasn't properly diagnosed, I shouldn't be paying again for you to figure it out.

My wife and I have been using Eric's Wrench for about 16 years. When I started he had one woman at…read morethe office, and I believe only Eric working on just Toyotas. Over time growing to a larger facility, handling all types of cars, and more mechanics. Unlike all the horrible experiences we've had with our dealers, nothing but wonderful experiences with Eric's Wrench for all these years. I'd like to describe two events, one at our beginning and one very recent. About 15 years ago a young woman was almost in tears, her car had 6 things wrong for about $600 from her Toyota dealer. I sent her to Eric, 4 were perfectly fine, one didn't even exist and he fixed the "6th" for $45. For the next 15 years every thing has been great. Make an appointment and they starts on that time and almost always finish the time they estimated. We've never had to go back for anything that wasn't done right. My last visit was just routine, but after all these years, I asked if they could adjust my dashboard so I can see a compass and see the air pressure in all 4 tires. I took it out, saw the compass but not the tire pressure. One of the mechanics actually took me out in my car, explained that it is not possible to see both at the same time, but they set it up so that all I had to do was hit 1 button to get to the pressure and hit it back for my compass. What a pleasure!!
