My husband originally wanted to head down to Buckhead, because apparently that's where "the vibe"…read morelives. But the second we walked into Eclipse, he immediately pivoted and admitted this place looked better inside and out. Victory tastes sweet... almost as sweet as the caramel drizzle on the tres leches cake. Let's talk about the atmosphere. There's a literal indoor tree growing out of the middle of the restaurant like we're dining in an enchanted Spanish forest. Add in the giant crystal chandelier dripping drama from the ceiling and you've got a space that says, "Yes, we're upscale... but we also know how to party." The live guitarist sealed the deal. Nothing says romantic tapas night like a man casually shredding a red guitar five feet from your table. Now the food. It came out fast. Suspiciously fast. "Did they know we were coming?" fast. And every single plate slapped. The crispy potatoes were seasoned like they had something to prove. The empanada was golden and flaky with that creamy dipping sauce that makes you consider licking the container when no one's looking. The short ribs were so tender they looked like they'd been emotionally supported before being served. Even the fried croquettes and goat cheese with carmelized onions and honey felt like they had main-character energy. And that cake. That glorious, whipped-topped, caramel-drizzled masterpiece. I would write it a thank-you note. The staff? Impeccable. Attentive without hovering. Friendly without forcing it. The kind of service that makes you feel like you're a regular even if it's your first time. The only downside: it was the first warm day in a while, and the sun decided our table was the chosen one. Half of our bodies were enjoying ambient romance lighting. The other half was being interrogated by a solar laser beam. My pasty white legs were one direct ray away from combusting like Louis in Interview with a Vampire. I considered rotating every five minutes like a rotisserie chicken. Minor sun-induced trauma aside, this place is a solid five stars. Gorgeous interior. Live music. Fast, phenomenal food. Amazing staff. And the satisfaction of proving Buckhead is not the only place that can deliver a whole vibe. Pro tip: request a table out of the direct path of the sun unless you're actively trying to pregame summer.

They offer great choices for designated drivers that go well beyond just water or soda--it's refreshing to see a place put effort into their non-alcoholic options. The food menu is equally flexible. There are lots of tapas to choose from, which works perfectly whether you are coordinating a meal for a large group or just stopping in for a quick snack. The variety ensures there is something for everyone to enjoy. Highly recommend for the vibes, the music, and the excellent small plates!

I'd come in for a drink after earlier day shifts, and grab a small bite on occasion. Back then, it wasn't ever busy but it has taken a positive turn for its reputation in the Avalon area. My husband and I ate here recently for brunch, I had no idea what to expect as I'd never had brunch here before. Sat immediately, and served promptly by the nice gentleman. We got to chatting and found he had just started, working mostly just for the holidays. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits, and they were incredible--even without the sausage! Not a big pork eater, here. The flavors were authentic Cajun, and do recommend it if you're ever here for Brunch. My other half ordered the breakfast burger--warning this thing is HUGE but according to him an incredible foodie adventure to conquer. Atmosphere is a bit dark and drab, but not a deterrence from coming back to try again. One last note to wrap it up, service needs to be sure to recognize Happy Holidays versus immediately resorting to Merry Christmas--very adamant from our server when I said Happy Holidays upon leaving. It's just a courtesy to those like myself who do not celebrate the mainstream holiday. So folks, if you're shopping at Avalon and want to get out of the cluster of the mall, drive across the main road and find plenty of parking to try out Firebirds!

I finally got to attend this place and always wanted to try it since I moved to the Atlanta area…read more I've heard nothing but great things about it. Needless to say, I was not disappointed. It's a beautiful restaurant inside meaning it's good for a date, a night out with friends or family, or a great place to celebrate for a prom or graduation. It's more upscale than a traditional restaurant however I loved it! I came here with my business coach since I won a competition and the prize was to have lunch at the place of my choice. She ordered the soup of the day, which was like this cheddar soup that came with these two sauces, which one of the sauces was a jalapeño based sauce, which was spicy, but not too spicy to wear it wasn't edible. She did like her soup and she also ordered the lobster and smoked Gouda ravioli for her entrée. She had no complaints considering she bagged the food up to go and wanted to finish it right there, but she couldn't. Lol. I ordered the twin seared chicken, which is actually half a chicken pan seared. My chicken was so delicious! It was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection to where it was fall off the bone. Just how I like it! The rice and the green beans paired well with it. My rice was cooked well, meaning it was not mushy or hard. And my green beans were a great consistency as well. My little one had a chicken tender salad since she loves cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, pretty much anything that comes in a salad that's not the lettuce. Lol. I must say I was impressed by the size of the salad because it was huge for a child. It would be great as a size salad for an adult. The chicken tenders were an amazing size, bigger than what most restaurants would give especially for a child's plate. I was highly impressed by the size of the portions for the children because the price is pretty standard for a kids meal entrée in comparison to other restaurants that give less. Our service was awesome! I wouldn't expect anything less considering the ambience of the restaurant. Our server was attentive, and he even bagged up both of our meals for us. This place is a 10 out of 10 and yes, I will be frequenting this restaurant a lot more in the future, even if it's by myself to sit at the bar.

Honestly everything about the place is pretty on point, it's an upscale restaraunt with alot of exposed wood, spacious, well thought out originally. The staff has always been corteous and knowledgeable, the menu always a great diversity (main courses, salads, starters - you name it, always slightly original and inspired) Personally though, it's more of a 'bring a date spot' eating in the dining room (cozy setting) and the bar is a dark area. During covid they removed the patio, so there is actually no outdoor seating anymore. I think that's why I most find myself not going there - is the dining and bar areas aren't super to my liking, I like bright and airy feeling venues. But they do have some live music and specials every day during the week that do make it appealing to be here different days otherwise which is brilliant marketing.

We were in the neighbourhood, about 30 miles from home, for an afternoon banquet. The Man decided on this place because we had once checked it out after a breakfast nearby. He remembered it. From the moment we entered, service was excellent. We were seated quickly & without fuss though we had no reservation. It was a bit early so I don't know that it counts. Debra greeted us with warm courtesy and a welcoming smile. She treated us like guests in her home. My favourite? She didn't hover. The music was perfect for the environment... Sinatra and the best of the era. Modern, clean, (commercial) steakhouse decor. Whether it's a chain or not, they've got the formula down. We started with rich, generously seasoned devilled eggs topped with bacon. They were tasty but needed the bacon for the taste to work. They were great but we had to take some home to be able to eat our entrees. The Man ordered a bowl of chili. Again, it was ambitious but delicious. Our steaks were cooked to order. Pretty close to perfection, I have to say. (A medium NY Strip & a rare 6oz filet). Our sides were lumpy, rich, mashed potatoes (not whipped nor puréed), steamed (barely) broccoli, minimal but excellent white cheddar mac & cheese, and creamed corn. The corn was seasoned & creamy with whole kernels and baked. It was all delicious. If you're in the area, you can't go wrong. Caritas

My favorite lunch AYCE Korean BBQ Spot…read more I almost exclusively order beef brisket when I go to Korean BBQ restaurants, so the price point of $24 for AYCE is a steal. There are 3 beef options for lunch: beef brisket, beef bulgogi and Hawaiian beef bulgogi. 6 options for pork, and 3 options for chicken. I've tried all the beef and chicken options and they're all really good value for the money. Dinner menu has a bit more variety, they have steak on menu. But because I prefer to pay for better quality cuts of meat, the steak options are irrelevant to me. I spend a lot of money eating at other Wagyu AYCE restaurants, so obviously I can't say the meat quality here is top notch. But for the price you pay, Iron Age delivers. It's a decent spot for groups of friends and family to come and enjoy a special dining experience. The price is attractive. Could still be consider pricey for some, but not out of reach like Wagyu. Other than selections of meats, there are vegetarian options as well for lunch. Seafood however, is on the dinner menu only. And dinner is $32 per person. There has been some new owners recently so the menu changed a bit, but i find the quality of the food to always be spectacular for a 'sports bar' where i want both super high quality food and a chance to see one more more games on decent quality TVs, and they do this really well, one really large tv and some mid sized in the bar area gets you so you can see 2 or 3 games at once. Such a great lunch choice!…read more While working in Halcyon, my stomach was beyond ready for lunch so I happily listened to it. With a number of options available in the food court, it was such a hard choice! After my teammate brought back her pita platter from Pita Mediterranean, it kinda put a bug in my ear of which spot to go for without me even realizing. So I went! I always love a refreshing Mediterranean meal and loved the variety of options available here. From salads, pitas, platters and more, I was struggling to figure out which to go with. I eventually decided on a traditional gyro with a Greek salad side and a plain lemonade. I placed my order at the self-order station after asking the sweet young lady behind the counter a billion questions, which she patiently answered. After placing my order, my food was fresh and ready in about 10 minutes or less. I took my food back to a table to dig in and was in for a real treat. The lemonade was delicious - not incredibly sweet and the perfect amount of tartness. Perfect. My gyro was huge! I decided to dive into my salad first which came with a packet of Greek dressing. I almost wished that I had ordered a bigger salad because this one was so good. The lettuce was topped with cucumbers, red onion, kalamata olives and feta cheese. It didn't stand a chance with me. I found that I was not starving as much after eating that salad and didn't end up eating my gyro until I got home and it was just as good even after it wasn't super hot. I ordered it spicy and wish it had even more of a kick, but it was delicious. It was well-portioned and so flavorful, I wish it had a bit more onions and lettuce, but by the way I inhaled it, you would have never known that anything at all was missing lol. Definitely going to be trying them out again in ITP!

We decided on the Market Hall and Mediterranean food sounded yummy. We were not disappointed!! My husband and I shared the Big Fat Greek Gyro with roasted veggies which were sliced zucchini and carrots. Since we were sharing, it was suggested we put it on Lavash instead of the pita. Otherwise, cutting the pita in half would be difficult to eat and cut. The Lavash worked out perfectly and was light and delicious. The filling was scrumptious as we chose chicken. The flavor of the chicken was excellent, not spicy. I couldn't keep saying how delicious it was. The roasted veggies were grilled without using much oil, seasoned spot on with maybe paprika. Loved how tender they were without being squishy. And how they were cut, great!! I want to go back and try more items on their menu. The cashier gals were very kind and helpful. Well done. Lots of free parking in the garage or across the street. And the Market Hall has lots of other food choices and many tables to enjoy your food choice. Also there is outside seating. If that is a choice and it's a weekend or weekend night, plan on the outside area being very busy with families and lots of kids playing.
