Corporate review: I'm extremely disappointed with Home…read moreDepot's so-called customer service. I purchased an item that was supposed to be delivered last Friday, but it never arrived. When I called customer support, I was told the delivery vendor attempted delivery -- which was not true because I was home. Then I was told it would arrive the next day. It didn't. The following day, the vendor claimed the lobby door was locked. Again, not true, the lobby is not locked. I was once again promised delivery the next day, and once again, it never happened. After several calls, I spoke with someone in the escalation department who canceled the order and issued a gift card so I could place a new order. I explained that I urgently needed the item, and she told me my local store had six in stock available for pickup. I placed the order and waited for the pickup email, only to find out the item was actually being shipped to the store and would take another 3-8 days. When I called support again, I was told there was nothing they could do because the vendor had the order. I was even given a phone number for the vendor that did not work. Finally, I spoke with Corrina in the Leadership Specialty Ops department. She repeatedly said there was nothing she could do and refused to contact the local store to see if they could provide one of the items they supposedly had in stock. I've dealt with many companies over the years, and when customers experience problems like this, most businesses at least try to make it right. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with Home Depot. Because of this experience, I've decided I will no longer shop at Home Depot and will be taking my business to Lowe's instead. If you have a choice, I would strongly recommend avoiding Home Depot.

I purchased five items and had to return with a truck to pick up one of then. Upon preparing my item for loading, we noticed a few issues in the top finish. I ask if they could order me a new one instead of accepting the one on the showroom floor. She said she would check on it or that she could offer me 20% off. I ask her to check on the new one and let me know. No one called me back, so I called them back a few days later and they told me they cannot order a new one. So I went today take a closer look. Two different clerks were working and told me they would only take 10% not the 20% the other clerk offered to me. So I ask for a refund. One of the clerks issued my refund and did say, "I'm, sorry" and she wished me luck in finding something else. The other clerk stood at the counter and said clearly under her breath, "there is nothing to be sorry about." Well.... I sorry for your loss and any future sales to me, I liked your merchandise. But refuse to be treated rudely. It's such a nice store to have such an unpleasant clerk and so unprofessional of her.

This is where we found Cowan Supply. They contacted the Gerber representative and asked for the measurements and photos of our toilet. Cowan contacted the Gerber representative and there was a slow response to our request. Because of the inconvenience and long wait time, Cowan Supply negotiated with Gerber on our behalf to get us a new and free toilet replacement delivered to our home, and refunded us for the lid! We were so pleased with their customer-focused response. This company cares about its reputation, and I could not recommend them more highly. If things go wrong, they make amends. We will do business with them in the future. Special thanks to Andy at Cowan!

His behavior was completely unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable having him on my property. The truck they used to deliver the mulch had bald tires and ended up getting stuck, tearing up my front yard in the process. When I placed the order, I clearly told the manager the mulch needed to be delivered to the backyard -- at no point was I informed this couldn't be done. That should've been communicated from the start. To make matters worse, they didn't even bother to backfill the damage they caused. For a supervisor, Wilmer showed no consideration and had the worst attitude I've ever experienced from a service provider. Absolutely unacceptable. I would never recommend this company.
