Called and spoke with a gentleman for 20 minutes yesterday about my requirements. He said they definitely had what I needed to come on down and they would fix me up. Well 40 minute drive later and a bit of an Easter egg hunt to find the hidden location, and they don't in fact have what I needed. 3 people in a row said "oh you must have spoken to x". So I decide to look around for some other things I need while I am there. In the process, a bunch of young gents are totally disregarding COVID mask protocols walking around in tight space with no mask or mask pulled down below nose. Then I asked three very basic produce questions which I got really BS answers to with very little product knowledge and a used car mentality. One gent who was a bit older probably late 30s and much more professional gave me some advice on how to solve the problem I originally went there to solve. I spent $220 on stuff That will be a work around for why I went there to begin with. No real acknowledgment of the fact I am a first time customer - recently moved to Atlanta - with a growing operation and could have been a long term repeat customer. Just self absorption about "going outside to grab a cigarette" by a couple of guys. The gentleman who brought stuff out and helped me load in the rain was very pleasant and helpful but my Net/Net takeaway is - order from Amazon. These guys don't have product knowledge or a customer service orientation that merits putting yourself at high COVID risk going there. To top things off - you're supposed to get free grow bulbs for fixtures when purchased. The 4 bulbs for my grow light fixture were left out. Definitely do Amazon...ship this place. 4 Thumbs down! read more

Went here today to buy pro mix bx soil for our microgreens. It is the best soil and the closest place to find it is here. The guys that work there are really nice and knowledgeable. They often have suggestions if I have any questions or have an issue. They have a wonderful variety of products for all of your growing needs. Ask for John! He's very knowledgeable on all products sold at this store. My boyfriend and I made a visit to this store over the weekend. Around 11 months ago, we made our initial visit but I didn't get a chance to write a review then. Go figure. Our second visit to this store was equally positive as our first. John was the employee who greeted us and spent about 20 minutes answering questions and giving us suggestions for the best indoor lighting systems. The boyfriend enjoys keeping indoor house plants and is always finding new ways to grow plants, vegetables and fruits in his garden. I'm first? Stunning! Atlantis Hydroponics is an amazing place. I got an AeroGarden for Christmas, and I ran out of plant food a few weeks ago. I decided that buying AeroGarden-branded tablets had to be the worst financial decision, so I asked at a dirt-based garden store whether they had hydroponic food for basil, dill, etc. They wisely referred me here. The employees here were experts at what they do. I explained my plight and they showed me liquid and powdered plant foods galore. They even gave me hints about feeding the plants differently when they start to bloom. (Since I don't *want* my basil to bloom and get woody, I snip it off and keep feeding non-bloom food.) Their prices definitely beat AeroGarden's; for a dollar or two less than what AeroGarden charges for 12 tablets, you get a huge quantity of nutrients that will last you a year or more. And when I expressed a mild bit of sticker shock, they dug around behind the counter and offered me a choice of free samples. The one I accepted is the remnants of a 4-pound tub, but still has plenty of powder in it. And yes, ha ha ha, you can use hydroponics to grow plants to smoke. They've even got some growing in the store. I'd never seen a tobacco plant up close and personal before; it looked like a squash plant to me. Seems like a waste of nutrient to me; I'd rather chow down than smoke up. But I am so glad I discovered these guys -- they're experts and they love what they do. read more

Atlantis is the place to go for all your hydroponic and organic gardening needs. I discovered this place about 8 years ago. They have since opened other locations, but I've only been to this one. They've got everything you could want for the best hydroponic setup, lights, ready made grow rooms, nutrients. There is a lot of stuff for dirt-grown plants as well. The best thing about visiting though is seeing all of the equipment in use. Also, the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and can help you with any questions or issues that may arise. They keep up with all of the changes in the industry, from compact fluorescents to LEDs. Atlantis has a great e-commerce website, so if you can't get to the store, you can find everything for sale and ready to ship on the website. But really, all of the cool setups they have is reason enough to trek over to the west side for a visit. read more

Wow! Talk about a great hidden resource in the ATL! They have all the equipment AND the know how to get you started with hydroponics. David Kessler at Atlantis Hydroponics gave us a great overview of the history and science of hydroponics. I now have two 9 year olds that are super excited about adding hydroponics to our fall science projects list. Additionally, the store is well laid out and easy to navigate, even with my kids in tow. Enough variety to get a feel for what's available in the marketplace. And definitely excellent customer service. The location in the Chattahoochee Industrial area is very easy to get to and they have a nice, spacious parking area. read more

Great for organic gardening. I had no idea what hydroponics was when I first visited. I went because I was told they sold peat moss - which they do. They sell a lot of items for organic gardening such as rabbit hay, soil nutrients, natural fertilizers, liquid kelp and the list goes on... I'm happy that they are local because ordering some of this stuff on-line is super expensive. read more

This was my second time visiting, and the customer service was stellar! My gardening supplies were stolen the night before so I was coming in to price out equipment and feeling totally bummed out. Jeremy came to my rescue. He printed out a product inventory sheet that had pre-filled column headings. This made my pre-shopping trip so much easier. As a newbie entering the world of hydroponics, this small specialty store has been very helpful to me. I have only encountered staff members that are both friendly and knowledgeable as I have visited 2 times now. When asked questions, not only did they answer but also provide other options with explanation. I purchased the incorrect size cups and was able to exchange without any issues. Quick service and they are very attentive. Store has open parking lot and accepts cash, credit, & debit. Easy to find via gps and right off the highway. They don't have any plants, if that's what you're looking for; just equipment to get you going. read more

Atlantis Hydroponics is a plant lovers haven with absolutely everything you could possibly need in one place. From seed propagation to great nutrients and pest treatments for indoor and outdoor growing, Atlantis kills the competition with price, quality, and customer service. I also really like how Atlantis has a variety of plant containers and water saucers that are not only beyond affordable, but also designed with the health of your plants in mind. You can tell that the owners take the time to select the highest quality products and educate their staff on each item. One of my favorite items is their special seed starting plugs. They're kept in a large bin where an employee will help you get as many of you need. They aren't the run of the mill plugs that the big box retailers sell - you know the kind that you add water to and wait for them to expand. Nope. These babies are made from a moist, soft, and sponge like material that is super nutritious for seeds and seedlings. I don't know what natural materials they use to make them but they are MAGIC. Literally, everything I've attempted to grow using the plugs has developed into a healthy, strong plant despite some moments of accidental neglect. They are less expensive and more effective than those other kind. When you go there, buy them for sure. End of story. read more
