We wanted to clean and restore our old DCS Grill (Model 36A-BQAR) that hadn't been used in a long time. I reached out to several companies on Yelp and got a few quotes, but Jack was the only one who provided a complete, honest estimate that covering for everything--cleaning, replacement parts, shipping, and tax. Rather than just selling us on repairs, Jack gave us his honest advice and suggested that replacing the grill would be a much better investment than trying to restore the old one. We took his recommendation and decided to replace it. Jack is extremely knowledgeable, polite, and honest. If we ever need grill service in the future, Jack is definitely our guy. Thank you, Jack! read more

I cannot recommend Jack more. I was on the verge of just getting rid of my Weber grill because it was in such terrible shape once I researched what a new grill costs I decided that it might actually be worth trying to fix mine. When I say that my grill now looks almost brand new I am not exaggerating. Jack spent many hours at my house, taking it apart and meticulously cleaning everything; he had to replace the burners, the starter and some other parts. I cannot tell you what a pleasure it is to grill now. If you have a grill that can use some TLC. I highly recommend you reach out to Jack. read more

Once again, Jack to the rescue~! Jack, was here in 2018 to fix my clogged gas lines and 8 years latter I had the same issue. I got VERY lucky as he was able to visit the day after I called. Once again, he was amazing and fixed everything at the same hourly rate from 8 years ago. read more

Very frustrating experience. I was eventually added to an email thread with the manufacturer of my BBQ and learned that BBQ Revivers had accepted the repair job on 3/25 and was supposed to contact me directly to schedule the repair. Unfortunately, weeks went by and I never heard from them. My brand-new BBQ still wasn't repaired, so I tried contacting BBQ Revivers myself and left several voicemails, but never received a callback. After more than a month without progress, I ultimately had to contact another repair company to complete the job. Communication and follow-through were very disappointing. read more

I've used BBQ Revivers to clean and repair my grills for almost 10 years. Jack is prompt, thorough and meticulous in his work. I use my grill about twice a week all year round so it's usually filthy by the time I call Jack for an annual cleaning. He usually spends a full day and the grill is absolutely like NEW every time. Couldn't recommend anyone more highly - just an awesome experience. read more

Omg how is he in business? He came and made it worse and charged me 200.00 and I need someone else!!! Doesn't work at all now and half of did before he got there. Yikes!! Parts everywhere and didn't even put them all back. It's a very expensive outdoor kitchen too. Not some cheap grill. read more

Jack was AMAZING! We live in Burlingame and he made an exception to come out by tacking it onto a trip he was making to San Francisco. He spent a meaningful amount of time beforehand texting/phone chatting about which parts to buy and from where - this ended up saving me a lot of money. I ended up compensating him for his commute and texting time because he went above and beyond to help us. When he arrived, he worked efficiently and took the time to give pro tips on how to use the grill. He replaced the brickette trays, flash tubes, and igniters as planned, but also spent time cleaning rust and buildup in areas that would prevent optimal grilling. He had all the smaller parts with him for our Twin Eagles grill which he replaced without charge. Jack is honest about what needs to be fixed, passionate about the work, and extremely hard working. It was a privilege to support his small business! read more

Jack did a fantastic job cleaning my bbq. He spent a good 8 hrs. Meticulously going through every nook and cranny. It looks brand new. I'm now afraid to use it because I don't want to dirty it again. I would highly recommend Jack as he stays in touch and is very courteous and arrives when he says he will. Great Job Jack! read more

Jack was great! He came w/in an hour of calling and thankfully took on cleaning of our Weber Genesis grill (despite it being the holiday season). He had all the proper equipment to make our grill look as good as new. Thanks so much, Jack! read more

Excellent work-reliable, thorough, reasonable! Our BBQ had suffered a grease fire and had a lot of build up/debris, BBQ revivers cleaned it all up and restored it to perfect working order. read more

Jack came by because I asked him to change my gas BBQ regulator since the burners were not igniting. He started by cleaning the gas holes in the burners, which prevented the gas from getting to the igniters, and then he was able to ignite the burners. The flame on one of the burners was very yellow instead of blue which he said means that it wasn't as efficient so he spent a lot of time cleaning out the corrosion from the inside of the burner which fixed the problem. He spent a lot of time attempting to fix the igniter for that burner but it was damaged but still working (it took longer to ignite). He also replaced the gas regulator. All in all, Jack really knows his stuff and I would recommend anyone with a BBQ issue to schedule him to come out and take care of it......you won't regret it !!!!! read more

WOW! Jack did a great job on our grill. We had a lot of rust on our grill and somehow he managed to get them out. I thought we would have to replace some parts. Jack said we didn't need to replace them and he can get them out. As you can see, pictures say a thousand words. He did it! I would highly recommend for his services. read more

Not responsive at all I have been calling Jack since November. Most recently, I texted him in April. Left a voicemail in May. Texted him again last week. I have never received one reply. His voicemails also says he has plenty of work, but leave a message. The newest message suggests we contact someone else. I don't know how he chooses which customers to help, but given the recent Yelp ratings, he is still working. What a nice problem to have, especially during a pandemic. With so many folks out of work, can't he hire a helper? It would be fair if he had a waiting list. It doesn't feel good being ignored. I really need his service. I haven't been able to use my grill since last summer. read more

I have to update my review. Jack responded when I contacted him again within minutes. Then he scheduled me as promised. Came on time, and cleaned, repaired our grill almost a whole day. He even explained how to season my grill grates. He is the real deal. Contact him if you need your grill cleaned and/or repaired. read more

Jack is so knowledgeable, professional, meticulous and very kind! Thank you for fixing the burner on our old built-in Bull grill. It was a relatively minor repair when we would have had to shell out over a thousand dollars if we had to get a new one! read more

My middle burner had gone out on my Weber Genesis 310, such that I could no longer get the grill to get above 350° or so. I decided after a couple of years of inaction to replace the burner tubes (which turned out not to be the problem), and in doing so, I (with the help of a neighbor) broke off the bolts holding the burner tube chassis in place. I needed professional help before shelling out $800+ for a similar quality new grill. And TBH I really would rather have fixed it than contributed to landfill with it. It took a while for Jack to get back to me, but it was worth the wait. He came out, did a deep unclogging of the gas tube, and got the chassis solidly back in place. The grill now gets back up well above 500°, and I could not be happier. read more

He was extremely helpful instant response. He helped to first diagnose without coming to our house over the phone explaining what can go wrong so we don't end up paying for simple issue. He wanted to make sure what he needs before coming over to avoid extra charges. He really kept his promise about timings , charges, and beyond taking care of bbq grill. read more

I am so happy to have found BBQ Revivers. When I first contacted him for service, his recording said that he was overloaded with service requests so it would be a while before he could get back to me. I understood that message to mean not to expect a call back until he was available. So I emailed him back with the request for service along with address and contact info. I figured that it would be useful to have it written rather than having to write down a message. 2-3 Months later, I get a call from Jack asking if I was available for his service the following Monday. He was on time to the appointment and diagnosed our main problem pretty quickly. I thought that our ignitor needed replacement but it turned out that the regulator was the problem. He had the part with him so he was able to fix the problem on the spot. He also fixed a couple of other things that had worn out and I saw that he also serviced the fuel tubes and checked to be sure that everything was working overall. I did not need him to clean the entire grill so the servicing was well worth the price to have a grill that operates as it should. I highly recommend BBQ Revivers. read more

I reached out to Jack and got a quote for my grill. Very reasonable pricing. But since he's in high demand, scheduling was too far out for me. However when I asked for advice since I decided to clean my grill on my own, he was so honest and shared some great knowledge. :) read more

Jack is amazing! He came out last year for repairs and did a fantastic job. We had him out again recently and he spent 8 hours bringing our grill back to life! We are in the process of selling our home and wanted the backyard and grill to shine. Jack was on time, clean, and efficient. I don't think there was even one inch of the grill this man didn't touch. He's super friendly and knowledgeable. You can just tell, this is his "thing". So glad we found him. If you are in need of service, get your name in now. We had to wait 4 months for an appointment but I now know why. He's highly in demand! read more

I contacted Jack this summer about cleaning our Bull Grill. He was fully booked for a few months, so I put it on the back burner for now. No pun intended. Out of the blue he calls and leaves a message. He noticed that I had called several months ago about getting our grill cleaned, and offered to put us at the top of his schedule if we were still interested. He followed up with another call, and we booked a time for the cleaning. Jack showed up promptly at 8am, and spent hours cleaning our grill. Now we have attempted to clean it from time to time, but compared to the job Jack did.......its as if we did nothing. I couldn't believe my eyes, the grill was sparkling clean. Folks that grill was dirty from years of grilling. What Jack did was nothing short of amazing. Jack also gave us some tips on how to keep it clean, seasoning the grill, etc... You can tell Jack loves what he does and takes great pride in it. My wife came home later that afternoon, she is the master grill chef in our family, and couldn't believe her eyes. She was floored. Thank you Jack for not only cleaning our grill, but for reaching out to us knowing we had contacted you months earlier. On top of all this, Jack is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. If you ever need your grill cleaned or repaired, don't hesitate to contact Jack. read more

The BBQ did come out very clean. Not as clean as I hoped, but better than I could do. I was quoted a price of 420. When I got home, they said the bill was 720, as it was more work than they expected. I reluctantly agreed to the amount after the fact. They said they would come back the next day and install the parts. Well, they came back about a week later and charged another 65 dollars for a service charge. I never like to give a small company a bad yelp score, but these people are crazy. I never agreed to pay more than 420, and I would never have agreed to 785. There are lots of people who will do at least as good a job, for less and without the drama. Unfortunately, they don't use email, so it is impossible to get quotes in writing. read more

Jack's BBQ Revivers is as good as it comes. We recently did some BBQ fixes ourselves and learned the hard way that it's wasn't safe to use. Fortunately, we identified it before it became a bigger, serious problem. After reviewing Yelp, we called BBQ Revivers and left a message. The first impressive experience we had was that Jack returned our phone call at 8:30 p.m. the same day I left the message. Unfortunately, he said he couldn't come by timely to fix it himself, but he gave step by step instructions to my husband on what the problem could be and how to fix it. Basically, a free service. While we were so disappointed that we couldn't recruit his help, we were so impressed with the returned phone call and the solutions he gave us. Well, it didn't stop there. The very next day, he called us late morning and said one of his appointments just cancelled and he thought he could stop by to check out our BBQ given it's a safety problem. He came promptly to Alameda and did exactly what he told my husband the night before. And, sure enough...the gas line has two small holes (wear and tear) that could have been a major problem untreated. Like a BBQ Whisperer, he identified the exact problem, went to the hardware store and got the replacement part, installed it all in one hour. It was magical. So hard to get this type of service today. Someone who is caring, honest and who knows what he's doing. No big talk. No super-charging. Just quietly did his thing...just priceless. It was so nice to know that there are service providers like him still around...rare, but still around. The reviews on him are very accurate and he deserves the five stars. read more

Left a message for Jack about an older BBQ that I was considering repairs on and he called me back same day. After 15-20 min on the phone, he helped me determine that repairing mine was not my best option. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to BBQs and helped me determine what the best for me was considering my future backyard plans. Advised me on some things to consider with a built in unit and which brands are best. It's not everyday you encounter someone who actually cares about the customer's best interest before making a dollar first. Although I may not need servicing in the near future, I hope he's around when that time comes. Thanks Jack! read more

I would give Jack 6 stars, if possible! Very knowledgable about Weber grills! I phoned this morning- asking about a possible repair to the propane line of my 16 year old Weber Grill. I really wanted to fix it, instead if dumping it in the landfill. I am so happy that I called BBQ Revivers!! Right off hand, Jack knew what model number it was and that he had the part in stock! A few hours later, he arrived at my house and had replaced th entire burner and igniter system, in about half an hour!!!! My grill has all new internals-hope I get another 16 years from it! Prompt service, reasonable costs ( worth every penny), neat and tidy repair. Thank you, Jack for making my day!!!! read more
