Great food, first class service - 5 stars. This was our first visit to BB's. Since they're new with only a handful of reviews, we didn't really know what to expect. I'd describe them, roughly, as a steak house with a Jamaican vibe. In my opinion, it's a higher end foodie sort of place. Every bite of our food was excellent. The service was great. And the restaurant space itself is HUGE, new, and pleasant with an understated, dark wood & dark stone kind of vibe (see photos). We started things off with wings and soup. The Wings were off the appetizer menu, 8 pieces with the Key Lime Dry Rub and some Ranch Dressing dipping sauce. The wings were very good. The New England Clam Chowder soup was good too. The soup had a unique twist, a bit more spicy and savory than I'm used to for New England style - good stuff. For the entrees we ordered a Bison Burger (sub asparagus for fries) and a Pork Belly meal (with asparagus and sub soup for the second side). The flavors were awesome. The Bison Burger had aioli, flavored mushrooms, and balsamic onion marmalade. The Pork Belly arrived with a side of salty balsamic reduction - yum! The whole thing tasted like a big chunk of bacon flavored pork chop. And what's not to love about that? There was some sort of savory crust on top that was divine. I couldn't tell what exactly was in the topping other than identifying some carrots - good stuff! We topped off the meal with fresh coffee. It came with a carafe of real heavy whipping cream - nice! Even the coffee arrived with a beautiful presentation. The service was excellent. Everyone we encountered was great. We had a couple of chats with the host, our server (of course), the bartender, and last but not least...the owner himself came out and chatted with us. From our table we could see his daughter keeping him company in the kitchen - very cute! Finally, the prices seemed reasonable. It's fairly expensive but not outrageous - I wasn't put off by the numbers. It definitely seems to be inline for this level of quality. LOW CARB: It was easy to eat low carbohydrate carnivore style at BB's. They have plenty of animal based selections. In addition, they didn't quibble about substituting (or upgrading) lower carb options as sides. For example, we subbed the fries with asparagus for the burger. This was much appreciated. Thanks for a great experience, BB's! -Maxx

Absolutely fantastic food. I got more lobster in my macaroni than in some lobster places. Spotless restaurant with fantastic food and service.

My family came here last night for the first time. We were blown away. Not only is the food absolutely delicious but the entire staff is so kind and personable. Truly a great experience with my family will be going back when I'm in town!

Cocktails were great food was equally great, 10/10 will definitely return.

Food less than average, service was slow, ambiance was boring. Nothing I would say was above average

They were able to seat our party of eight even without a reservation, which was impressive on such short notice. Once they found out we were celebrating a birthday, they went above and beyond by creating custom matchbooks that said "Happy Birthday" along with the birthday guest's name. It was such a thoughtful, personal touch that made the celebration even more special. The food was outstanding. We ordered a little bit of everything, and every dish was delicious, but a few really stood out. The oysters on the half shell were incredibly fresh. The slow roasted prime rib with au jus and creamy horseradish was tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. My favorite was the famous Smothered Ribeye, served over crispy hash browns and topped with sautéed mushrooms, onions, grilled asparagus, and béarnaise sauce. The portion was huge, and I was happy to have leftovers the next day! From the exceptional service to the memorable dining experience and amazing food, Jax Café exceeded our expectations. If you're celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or any special occasion, I highly recommend it!

Gave this place another shot because I was craving their egg mapo tofu and it delivered!…read more Monday night it was even pretty packed, but we had very quick service and food came out rather quickly as well. 5/5 Mapo Tofu - super spicy with a hefty serving of rice. The textures of the pork and seafood are super flavorful. 5/5 Fatty Tuna bowl - this rice bowl with salmon roe is about six hand rolls worth is super buttery and creamy goodness. $8 Japchae was made just as a Korean person would make it a little steep for a small portion, but flavors were unbalanced. It was not too salty and noodles were not mushy. Other plates at the tables enjoyed was the gouchugang rigatoni, the pork jowl and suggested side salad. Finishing off with the miso sesame caramel tart - this time coming with more strawberries to balance out the richness of the actual tart. A great end to the meal highly recommend!

The food was just alright - this was certainly more fine dining than I'm used to. It would be good to come in a bigger group to try more things - portions are relatively small, but nicely plated. The dumplings all tasted similar and were a bit too salty - would recommend eating without the sauce! The entrée we got were were mostly grilled meats. I enjoyed the pork belly the most - I think the sesame oil gives it a different flavor compared to the chicken bulgogi and beef kalbi, which felt a little flavorless. The samjang sauce did help spice things up a little bit, but it was very, very mild. We also got the honey butter toast, which was good - the hazelnut and honey balanced each other out nicely, but the bread was quite hard and tough to chew. Something my parents wished to add was that they wanted the foods were served a bit warmer, which I do agree. It was kind of awkward to eat the long beans and honey butter toast that were room temperature. The toast I have had at other restaurants and they were nice and warm, the butter would glide easy.
