Wow and I do mean W.O.W! I have been waiting for the longest time to have a Korean fried chicken wings and man, do they hit the spot. I get envy every time a see a person enjoying Korean chicken wings on YouTube. Now Indianapolis have one! Took a menu home so I can cross out the ones I already tried and I want to try them all. Arrived at 12:30 place is busy but was seated almost immediately. Very spacious place. Ordered at 12:40 and it took about 30 minutes to get the original. Afterwards the wings started to trickle in within 5-10 minutes. Original is just like standard KFC (Korean fried chicken) crunchy and juicy. Second wing is the Gangnam and that was solid not too spicy but had good flavor. Third was the Soy Garlic and that was good, tasted like soy sauce plus garlic lol. Came in for lunch with a friend and my partner. We ordered an original boneless--my partner can't do any spice and had never had Korean fried chicken before--and fifteen minutes later the waitress gave us something with another sauce. I'm not sure how original golden turns into soy and garlic, but that's life. We were in a rush, so we said we'd just eat the wrong order to avoid the wait and the food waste (after they wanted to make sure we'd still pay for it, I'm not sure if they were implying that we were trying to get free food). Someone who might have been the manager was apologetic and wanted to make sure that we were alright, but didn't do much other than bring us water more frequently. All that said, my friend and I thought the chicken was pretty darn good, and everyone was satisfied with the soy and garlic flavor. The restaurant itself had a sports bar vibe. I went to bb.q in Austin TX and overall I had an enjoyable experience at their location! I'm not too sure if the French fries changed for every location or is just different for the Castleton location, but I preferred the waffle fries you had! I thought the waffle fries bb.q had were much crispier and better than the current fries. The chicken seemed a bit different as well but I could be wrong. There were parts that were crispy and parts that weren't as crispy I noticed. I had the Galbi wings and I did enjoy the flavor of those particular wings I just didn't think the texture in areas of the chicken were crispy. The overall ambience was good, plenty of people were coming in and out of the restaurant, there is nice amount of seating, and TV's that play sports/music channels. The service could be a bit better, I think the lady that did the water refills should be a waitress, she did well and was attentive to our table's needs. This was our first time trying this place, I just happened to be in Castleton and needed to pick up dinner. When I got to the restaurant my phone died and the awesome guy working the counter was kind enough to let me use his charger, what a sweetheart! Our order took about 30 minutes which was fine because I knew it was fresh and my phone needed to charge. I was a little worried because I had a 35 minute drive back home, but I turned on the floor heat to keep it warm, and when I got home everything was still pleasantly crispy and perfectly delicious! The sauces are incredible, very flavorful and well balanced. I highly recommend the honey garlic and the spicy galbi. The pickled radish was crunchy and refreshing, the perfect compliment to the rich umami chicken. The portions are good for the price too, the boneless wings are like half a chicken thigh each, very satisfying! We each got 2 small orders and it was enough for 2 meals each. I love this place so much. I have it AT LEAST once a week. The atmosphere on the inside is kind of like a sports bar vibe but still family friendly. They offer a lot of tasty options (most I have tried) and even have an alcohol selection when dining in. The whole staff is friendly and accommodating. The food comes out quickly and the authenticity of this place is something you can't find anywhere else. If you're looking for some yummy Korean fried chicken or some traditional dishes, you'll find exactly what you're looking for. I have not been disappointed by this place, not even when ordering takeout. They handle each order with care and you can taste the love that goes into this delicious food. I could not be happier that the Indy area finally has something like this and it doesn't break the bank. The prices are more than reasonable for the quality of food you're receiving. Absolutely terrible, we came in with high hopes and good vibes ready for some great chicken. Instead we waited for an hour before we were given food, however, we were given food that wasn't ours which they then came back for and took to the correct table after it had been sitting with us, luckily we didn't touch it. We watched as the table next to us, who came in and ordered after us, received their food (an order about the same size as ours) 20+ minutes before we even got our fries. Our waitress only came to our table for our initial drink order and then to get our food order and did not return until she thought we had received all of our food and wanted to check us out. We did not get any refills on our drinks and she insisted we had brought all of our food when we hadn't received our second order of chicken. We had to explain to her multiple times that we didn't get half of our food before we just decided to remove the additional order of chicken to save us another hour of waiting for it to come out. One of the other tables nearby us were having similar order issues and had to correct the mistakes several times. We will not be going back. We will instead be heading a bit up north to visit CM Chicken in Fishers which has a better overall experience and, in our opinion, much better food. The hype is not to be fallen for. read more
