EDIT 03/21/2019
It's been over a year since I started getting my nails done at this salon and I have yet to be disappointed! My best experience with them happened yesterday, March 20. I needed a mani/pedi so I decided to go to the salon after work on a whim. I got there around 6 PM. Mind you, the salon closes at 7 PM. When I arrived, I noticed that they were busy. All the techs were working on clients. Jessica immediately greeted me (by name!!) and asked what I needed to get done even though she was with a client. When I said I needed both a mani and pedi, she said it would be a bit of a wait since all the techs were busy and they had 2 appointments scheduled that had yet to come in. She said it would be about a 20-25 minute wait. I love getting my nails done with Jessica so I told her I didn't mind waiting for her. It definitely gave me enough time to pick out my colors and change my mind a few million times LOL. The wait turned out to be almost an hour and 15 minutes for me, but like I said, I didn't mind waiting and I could see how busy they were since the 2 scheduled appointments came in shortly after I arrived, so of course they were treated first.
I finally got into a pedi chair around 7:15 PM, and Jessica sat down to start on my feet. I asked if she could do my hands instead and have someone else do my feet so we could finish faster since it's was already past their closing time. She told me that since it was already past 7 PM, she couldn't ask the other ladies to stay behind, but it didn't matter because she would do everything for me no matter how late it got. Thankfully, another lady came over after a few minutes once she finished with her client and took over the pedicure. Jessica started on my hands. I wanted dip powder, tip extensions with a coffin shape, AND an ombre. I know, it's a lot. I showed Jessica a picture of what I wanted and said that if the ombre would take too long, I didn't mind getting just a regular dip powder job. Jessica reassured me that the ombre wouldn't be a problem and got to work.
She really pays a lot of attention to detail. I had short nails to begin with, and she made sure to file and shape them in a way so that the extensions would look the best on top. Throughout the next 1 hour and 30 minutes, we kept up a light conversation and she kept reassuring the entire time that my nails would turn out exactly how I wanted them to since she could tell I was very anxious throughout the entire process. It was my first time getting the coffin shape and my second time getting an ombre. The first time I got an ombre was 3 years ago at a different salon and it turned out horribly. I had to get them taken off a week later at another salon.
Jessica remembered that I hadn't gotten my nails done in a while when usually I always have them done. She even asked me if everything was okay.
Anyways, one by one, the other clients left and so did the other techs. Soon, it was just Jessica and I left. I keep apologizing for coming in so late and then requesting such a detailed manicure. She didn't make me feel bad once and neither did she seem like she was in a hurry to finish so she could leave. She really took her time to make sure my nails looked good. I ended up leaving the salon around 8:45 PM, well beyond when they close. Jessica was such a sweetheart the entire time.
In the end, my nails turned out even better than the ones I showed her as an example. I was completely in awe. The length was right, the shape was right, the ombre was right. Everything was perfect.
While I was already loyal to this salon for over a year now, I am now a permanent customer. I can't even imagine going somewhere else or having someone besides Jessica do my nails. read more
