Great filet mignon, chicken (overcooked but Thats pretty standard at restaurants afraid of lawsuits over undercooked chicken), and New York strip. Get the large sizes. Enough for 4 medium meals or 2 high school athletes. It would be 5 stars but for one issue: the mix of veggies is all wrong. Instead of traditional (for teppan) mushrooms, they use BROCCOLI. Yuck. A blemish on an otherwise stellar presentation.

I've tried the teriyaki and this one soup. Definitely recommend the orange chicken , the teriyaki and the noodles too. Average plate costs about $5-8. And you get a really big serving. I have made this my Tuesday lunch place. Even the ambient is nice. There are nice tables and cute decorations. The way they serve you you feel like you're in a restaurant but its really fast food. Also, the people who work here (not sure they are the owners or not) are really nice and friendly.

I like the quality and presentation of the dishes and reminds me of eating at local Japanese restaurants back at home but with a laid back and chilled atmosphere. There is no pressure to order if you are unfamiliar with types of sushi and a lot of people are ordering take out so you know the food is really fresh. I also ordered the spicy tuna rolls, California rolls, pork bun, churros with ice cream and their new fire roasted chicken bowl before. The sushi here isn't my favorite or their bun. The parking here is fine because it's in a big plaza with many different parking spots. The soda here are cans so there no refills here.

When I arrived, someone by the name of John assisted me with placing my takeout order: 1 combo with their Tonkatsu Ramen and Karaage Chicken, and an order of the Garlic Truffle Ramen. I thought it would take a while to come out, but it actually came out pretty quickly. Can't say too much about the service from this place, but from the attention I did get and my requests I made, i'd give it a 4/5. Our food was good! The karaage with the spicy mayo was yummy and crunch. I am glad John suggested that I order the combo for "Extra Protein". I shared the Tonkatsu with my youngest son, which he thoroughly enjoyed, but later on actually ended up really liking the Garlic Truffle broth more. My husband killed most of the Garlic Truffle and I had a couple sips of the broth, which was really yummy. I really enjoyed the actual taste of the truffle, instead of it just taking over ONLY my sense of smell. As for the pork in both bowls, they were also cooked really well. Lucky for me (but not most who enjoy fat), their pork did not have too much of the fatty parts in it, but it was soft and melt in your mouth. Definitely a 10/10 from this SLR location.
