We gave them a head count and they figured out the rest. They brought their adorably painted truck and parked it on the street in front of our venue. Food was ready when the guests were, and they had guests line up and put in their own orders. They provided drinks on ice. Service was very speedy--they had individual plates ready in under a minute for each order. Pricing for the catering was fair and reasonable. Food: I had a combo plate with beef tri-tip, chicken (I think it was thighs), shrimp, grilled veggies, and salad over mushroom rice. The meats were all perfectly cooked, tender as can be, and seasoned with just the right amount of teriyaki sauce so that it wasn't dripping all over the place. The veggies were delicious as well, and I wouldn't hesitate to order the veggie plate without meat. The best, though, was the mushroom rice. It's just like my mom used to make it--lightly seasoned and full of umami. Service: They had four people working inside the truck and they were able to turn around orders as fast as people could place them. The truck's food service surfaces were continuously being cleaned, and I saw that they had an "A" grade from the health department. Everyone was extremely friendly and courteous, and most importantly, they got everyone's orders correct and made sure we all had everything we needed. They're a family operation, with their likenesses (along with their grandma) painted on the back and sides of the truck, which gave me the warm fuzzies as I devoured my food. Good amount of tri-tip, the mushroom rice is really good and full of great flavor.
