Because of that great experience, we decided to go back after a long time, this time on a Sunday. When we walked in, we immediately noticed a big difference . There were a lot of empty tables. We ordered shrimp cocktails (cócteles de camarón) and sat down. Unfortunately, this time the food was not good at all. The juice in the shrimp cocktail was extremely salty,so salty that I couldn't eat it. I went back to the counter and explained the issue. The girl helping us was very nice and explained that they cure the shrimp with salt since it's not cooked. She offered to remake it, which they did, and I appreciated the effort. However, even the remake just didn't taste good to me. I like my seafood to taste fresh, with a natural seafood flavor not overly salty or loaded with condiments. This experience made me wonder if something has changed at the restaurant, especially since it was so empty compared to our first visit. The staff was friendly and did try to make it right, which I appreciate, but overall this visit was disappointing. Since it's also out of our way and we only stopped because we happened to be in the area, I don't think we'll be coming back. It's unfortunate because our first experience was so much better. The ambiance was pleasant. They had a couple of TVs playing football, music in the background, and the place was clean but the food just didn't live up to our previous experience.

It wasn't packed so our server Carla was very attentive & friendly! I went with my family so we got a little bit of everything and we could try it all. Carne Asada Fries- It was the kids menu but overall i thoroughly enjoyed them. Camarónes Encabronados- the sauce was spicy but soooo good! definitely recommend as an appetizer! Ceviche Toxico Premium- It contained fish, shrimp, cooked shrimp, scallops, and octopus with tomato, cucumber, onion, and cilantro. it was great as an appetizer and definitely had tons of flavor. Burrito Toxico- It contained octopus, shrimp, and fish along with cabbage white cream sauce, tomato, onion, & cilantro. Which was incredible, it quite literally melted in my mouth. The BEST burrito i've ever had hands down! Molcajete Cráter Mar Y Tierra- It contained marinated meat, shrimp, cactus cheese, green onion, and jalapeño. this is the smaller one but definitely did not disappoint, this is the perfect size for 2 people. and now for the show stopper, Molcajete Patron - Which was the biggest one contained cheese, carne asada, chicken, octopus, shrimp, scallops, sausages, jalapeños, bacon wrapped shrimp, & mussels. This was super delicious and had a bunch of variety to it! if you aren't sure what to try i would definitely recommend this as you get to try a bunch of stuff! Overall i was very satisfied with the food, the staff, and the restaurant itself. Definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a good time eating. We will be coming again and thank you once again to our waitress Carla!

It was hard to hear our waiter over the loud music, the 2 waiters that helped us only spoke Spanish so it was hard for my husband to communicate with them. The serves were ok. Our drinks were each $15 not considering that some of the drinks were tiny. And the most disgusting part was that my friend saw 2 roaches crawling on the wall that our table was up against. Definitely would not recommend, probably the worst restaurant I've ever been to.

The ambiance is lively and full of energy--so many people enjoying their meals, laughing, and sharing moments with their loved ones. It honestly makes the whole experience even better. I usually order to-go because I'm a messy eater when it comes to seafood boils , but even then, the quality never disappoints. And let's talk about the prices--no one beats them. In my opinion, I actually prefer their crawfish flavor over Drunken Crab or Boiling Crab... but hey, that's just me . Either way, this spot is absolutely worth it every time.

Our family of 4 usually orders the family meal with 2 lbs of shrimp, 1 lb of mussels, Cajun fries, and the spicy Boss sauce -- always so good! However, over the last year or so with the new ownership, I've noticed they've been giving less sauce, and now I usually have to buy an extra side with my order. There was also an employee who told me he wouldn't serve me unless I took my water bottle back to the car, which felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. My family and I truly enjoy coming here, so I hope they continue the great quality and customer service we used to receive with the previous owners. Please don't skimp on the sauce -- it's what makes this place so special!

Nuzzled in the neighborhood of Sylmar ( yes you heard right ... Don't let it fool you it's worth it, fer real), you'll find this gem. Now I won't call it a whole in the wall but I will say this place knows what it's doing. It's hip in its own special way. Tucked next to the Sylmar branch library. Even better, go get a book and read and eat some delicious tacos. I'm not an expert at Mexican food but I am definitely picky when I eat Mexican food. Unless it's home made ... By my Brother- in-law's mom, I'm probably not gonna even try because I'm just not eating my calories in things I'm not sure I'll enjoy. It's my form of a healthy diet . You'll have to convince me otherwise. This is me convincing you that these are worth it. There's also a mural that will welcome you and put a smile on your face. Ambiance and seating: Day date worthy with a friend or whoever. Seat yourself either inside or outside. Parking: the lot is small but there are designated spaces. Street parking also available. everywhere you park just watch the signs. I can only speak of the Tacos as I only order these because they're so good every single time. Now it's not a small taco. For I think it's $5 now a taco you'll get a cheese lined flour tortilla open faced taco packed with so much meat of your choice and some semi spicy sauce that just makes you want more. Shrimp tacos: fave. The only thing I wish is that they deveined the shrimp but it is loaded with flavor that get over that quick. And I can also devein of I really wanted to lol Fish: oh this is so good. It's fried but not deep fried and it's a filet so I like the way it separates in each bite. I am full off two tacos but I always want to eat more lol. Shout-out to my coworkers for showing me this place cuz it's a go to in the Valley for us.
