They told us that they could fix it by the end of the day and they did. They called us when it was finished and it worked like a charm. The cost was better than we were anticipating too. They're located next to an auto parts shop, so they're able to get pieces pretty quickly too. They were really nice in person and are only a few minutes outside of downtown Petoskey. We slowly drove our car into their very busy shop on a Thursday morning and were immediately greeted by two staff who left a project to help us. Within 10-minutes, they had our tire off and in a tub of water to find the leak. Because we had driven a while on a low tire, unknowingly, there was evidence of side wall damage. We dreaded a big bill and long wait. More good luck: a screw was retrieved, the pressure left in the tire was adequate to not ruin it and our hole was foxed within 15-minutes. The auto repair staff and office staff were all wonderful. They were reassuring, honest and made us feel at home. They could have easily put us at the back of the line (we are out of towners) or sold us an expensive new tire. We walked away with a $25 repair bill. They even let us keep our car on their property while we went to breakfast and explored downtown on bikes. You don't find business like this these days. Please give them your business and respect. Wish we lived closer. They would be our go-to for car repairs.

What should have been a restful communion with the outdoors in Northern Michigan turned into a harrowing, stressful time. After AAA towed my car to dry out at the hotel, and I left my husband to comfort the baby, I took my limping vehicle into town in search of anyone who might diagnose the OED 2 code. I didn't have the handheld reader with me and I direly needed to know whether my car's check engine light was the result of something minor -- say, a misfiring piston -- or something serious to justify staying another night in town. I came upon M&M Services after driving slowly to get an oil change elsewhere. Their Open sign glowed like a beacon. I pulled in to find a young man in the office, one bay occupied with the garage door down, and their hours boldly displaying they were open for another hour yet. Prayers for resolution answered? I explained my situation and asked if he could hook my car up to a OED reader. Advanced Auto Parts, Napa, Carquest, and other car parts stores with complementary reader services all shut an hour and a half before. There wasn't a dealership in Petoskey or Harbour Springs to help, and I couldn't trust taking the car an hour away into Traverse City. M&M had every ability to help ease my mind. "Are you from around here?" asked the kid. "No, I'm on vacation. We drove up. I am in a tight situation," I said. I should have shut my trap and nodded. "Can't help you." What?! You're open. You have a mechanic. I am not asking for anything untoward, I could hook the cable up to the OED2 port myself for all it mattered. He gave me the most uncaring look and went back to his desk, staring off into space. You are an auto shop. You are open. There are no other customers and I showed up an hour before the stated closing time. No one was working on a vehicle. It was a very simple request I was willing to pay for, if only to get a better idea of the diagnostic code. It turned out to be Cylinder 1 misfiring due to water getting into it, a simple fix by removing the spark plug. I found that out at O'Reilly's in Detroit -- something that took literally about 8 seconds to read. The non-existent customer service during a small crisis was disgusting.

They advertise as being a 10-Minute Oil Change, but Chris and Tyler were extremely efficient and completely serviced my car and changed the oil in even less time than that. My wife and I live in Cross Village and always use this location if we need an oil change and are in Petoskey or the area. The service is always great, but the service provided today by Chris and Tyler was exceptional. In addition to potential customers, I hope the owner of this oil change facility reads this review and give them the pat on the back they deserve.
