Holy cow! If it's too good to be true... I'm waiting like a cynic for the downside. It's a typical Thursday. I roll up and am immediately escorted into bay number two. A nice young man explains the oil differences and pricing. So, I ask if they have a combo package of oil change/car wash. "Sir, I'm washing your car for free with today's service!" Within 10-15 minutes he's taking my payment and handing me an exiting packet. Car is clean, check engine light gone, this will score major points with Mrs. E!!!! An hour later I pick her up from work...she didn't notice a thing. Oh well, not only did I get a much needed oil change, my fluids were topped off, they inspected filters, tested the signals and lights, checked tire pressure and washed the car for under $100 (including tip). After pulling a trailer 700+ miles, the workhorse desperately needed a car wash. Our friends highly recommend Fast Eddie's so we gave it a try. It's an automated wash with no detailing but we just needed to get "The Beast" (2018 Nissan Armada) presentable. And for only $8 why not give it a try. The employees were friendly and efficient, the wash was great and didn't bend our mirrors out. At the end of the dry, two young guys came out and gave a quick once over with a towel. The staff is ALWAYS friendly, so for that I would give 5 stars, BUT I get my car washed here all the time... because where else is there to go? I always pay for the super duper, yet I'm still left with a hefty pooper on my car. Do the prices in which we pay even matter? I would expect that if I pay the most expensive price for the wash, the people scrubbing at the beginning would at least get the bird shit off of the front of my car. I just paid $19 for a car wash. And the two people that were drying my car off never put the tire shine on my tires. It's amazing how you can spend $19 on a car wash and they don't even do their job. Worst car wash I have ever been to. Car was left with a hazy film covering entire exterior including windows. Guy ahead of me I think was complaining about same issue and their moving track almost pushed my vehicle into his. Attendant stopped track about two inches impact. NEVER again. read more

Had a great visit today with the Petoskey location. Took car of my truck's needs, and serviced my synthetic oil change in a reasonable amount of time with the upmost professionalism. I also needed coolant added, and the one of the gentlemen that was taking care of my truck was nice enough to add some and make me aware that I should be watching the levels. I stopped here for a car wash. I got the number 2 wash. It was a reasonable price and day. But my car was still super dirty when I was finished. I had bugs all over my grill, mirrors, and some black road grime on my hood, doors, and trunk that I had to get off myself. I wouldn't go here again for a car wash. I usually go to the dealerships as they charge the same price for an oil change and I know I'll get a good quick service. The nearest dealership was about 2 hours away, so I decided to get JUST an oil change with synthetic oil here and wow what a mistake. The guy who came up to my car was over friendly to where it was uncomfortable and fake. I told him I wanted an oil change with synthetic oil. He then asked me if I wanted a car wash and I said no just an oil change. He then tried to sell me the most expensive package there was to purchase and didn't give the sign for me to read or have me sign a clip board or anything to approve what he wrote down. As a young petite female, mechanics just love to try to take advantage of me as they think I don't have knowledge about cars or won't say something. As the oil change was happening, one mechanic was on my passenger side and started putting air in both my tires without my permission-which have GREEN CAPS on them!!! A good mechanic would know GREEN CAPS mean there's nitrogen in the tires without a young petite female having to tell them that!! Then after yelling out my window and asking why he was doing that as they have nitrogen in them, he stood there like a statute with his eyes all big and didn't know what to say, and then got the manager who originally greeted me at the entrance. The manager started getting all loud and very disrespectful and was talking over me and had very immature and disgusting remarks. I JUST WANTED AN OIL CHANGE, not this extra crap you're trying to sell to me because you see that I'm girl and obviously think I'm dumb, and you're trying to get higher sales from me. WHY IS IT SO DIFFICULT FOR THEM TO JUST LISTEN TO WHAT THE CUSTOMER WANTS, RATHER THAN TRY TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THEM TO MEET THIER DAILY QUOTA IN SALES?!?? I KNOW MY CAR AS I BOUGHT IT MYSELF AND IM THE OWNER OF IT!!! I KNOW A BIT MORE ABOUT CARS THAN YOU PROBABLY THINK!!! The manager then gave me $10 off, which is the equivalent of the original price for a synthetic oil change...haha wow! Went to get my car washed-as I do every week- and the woman collecting my money gave me a hard time about the twist step on the back of my truck. I turned it under the truck and told her I have had it for 5 years without incident. She said I need to remove it. I laughed and said no I will turn it in as I do every week-the step is for my dog. No issue going through wash. She was rude and said she would have to fire all the people who let the truck go through. She is the one that needs to be fired. She is short, thin older woman with brown hair. Won't be back there again for car washes unless she is gone. read more

There are few places that a company cares so little about me they are actually upset with me for wanting to give them business. But fast eddies is one of those places :) Let's consider their qualifications. I understand math is hard, but mischarging me every time, especially when you have a computer, now that's impressive. How about those windshield washers! Need them replaced? Fast eddies can do that for you :) though they will end up flying off and scratching your car the first time you use them, but, that's the price to pay sometimes. This last time I tried to give them my money will be the last time. I didn't even get to enter their garage before their beautiful lack of any kind of normal social skills, let alone customer service, warranted my abrupt turning around and leaving. For some reason the mechanic had an angry face, pointed at me to turn my wheels, then yelled at me to "STOP" and "GO IN THA OTHR BEY" ... And yes, he misspelled the words while he spoke them. I've gone there for years because they were convenient and cheap. They're no longer cheap, and they're incredibly rude and just plain bad at their job. Find another place, I know I will. read more

I certainly should have learned the first time when they forgot to put the cap back on my engine after an oil change. But I gave them a second shot. This time they stripped the oil plug so bad it leaked almost all of the oil in my engine out. The car wash does a pretty decent job but can't say the same for the oil change. read more

I pulled up for an oil change on Tuesday, May 12 and waited until two crew members ambled out of a minivan parked in back of the oil bays. They waved me in. One guy sticks his hand inside my window, touches my windshield and says, disgustedly, "Ain't no sticker?" Meanwhile he's yelling at his coworker about needing to use the restroom before the other guy "takes a shit." They haggle and work out an arrangement. I ask, can I get the "17 point check." A service that's advertised. The guy says, "I'll do it for free to save time." He spend ten seconds glancing at my engine saying, "Good, good, good.... it all checks out." The guy who was in the toilet comes out and hacks up phlegm for a good minute into a trash can ten feet from me. My stomach turns (I am a grown man who is not squeamish). When he sees my face, he says, "I need a cigarette" and walks out of the shop. Meanwhile, I'm uncertain they're even changing my oil. In what amounted to the fastest oil change I've ever experienced, the other guy comes back with the dipstick and says, "nice new oil." I say, "what kind did you use," as I usually have the benefit of choosing. He says, "same that was already in there," and I say, "How do you know what's in there if I didn't have a sticker." I ask if he can check my air pressure in the tires, as they'd been losing air. He walks around the car, eyeballs them, and, says, "actually, they look good... I can tell when there's no bulges" The other guy finishes his cigarrette and says, "i'll meet you in the van" (gee, I wonder what they're doing in there). I pay $30 and change a leave. We just had our oil changed at Pennzoil after last months oil change here . As we're going through the change the guy comes up to inform us that the oil filter that fast eddies put on was entirely the wrong size for my girlfriends car it required a 28 size oil filter and your establishment put a 48 size on it . In addition on my girlfriends newer model car I might add it has a function that tells oil life and when you need an oil change that light never went off after getting it changed here . Needless to say there is not a 0 star rating for this disgraceful place . Save yourself the car trouble and go to pennzoil or to a dealership. Huge disappointment ! read more

A great car wash! We drove up from Indiana and had a ton of bugs we needed to get off ASAP. Fast Eddies was quick, spent extra time with the sprayer and the brush to get the bugs off the front and the side mirrors, and I love a place that actually hand dries. We have an escalade and did the premium wash for $10. We will be back! read more

Took my One month old new car in for a car wash. Got home and realized that I had a scratch on the front fender. I went back and complained but they wouldn't do anything about it said it couldn't have been from them. I have a new vehicle and this was the first oil change. What a mistake. They change the oil I assume because they went to put the new oil into my car and the guy spills it and tells another guy that he needs someone else to finish the job. My windshield solvent is empty from my trip from downstate. The tire pressure was not even checked. I must say that I am disappointed in the service that we received today. I also was sold the " managers special" whatever that is. I thought that it included an inspection and the car wash. I did get the super duty car wash but still have bugs all over the front of my vehicle and the mirrors. I would not recommend having them change your oil. The car wash is probably good but they rushed me through as it was a coupon from the oil change and they didn't spray for bugs. We actually have a home here and they must assume that we are just up for the weekend, how wrong they are!!!! read more

Went for a carwash and pulled around back, first thing I saw was two employee's with their heads down smoking pushing slush and blocking access to the cars wash. The employee's made no effort to move so I could proceed. The next thing I hear is another employee from the oil change area yell car wash to me. I said yes and his reply was nope. And pointed to too small attachments to me car rack and said not with those and went back inside. This is poor customer service at best and if there is a sign that says to remove car rack attachments it was most likely behind the employees pushing snow. My elderly Mother went to Fast Eddies Petoskey on Nov. 21st. 2013. She paid to have a premium coolant flush with antifreeze that will protect her motor up to -37 degees. Upon testing her coolant when she arrived at our home in Kansas City, MO over Christmas vacation, the coolant was weak and only read -0 degrees. We tested her system with 3 different barometers and also had Firestone take a look. The coolant was not sufficient for the service she paid for. Upon calling Fast Eddies, they said that they would only be willing to "redo" the service. They would not refund her $. So my mother had to risk driving all the way back to Michigan from Missouri with coolant that was sub-standard in very cold -0 temperatures. When my mother arrived to get the service redone, Fast Eddies didn't even offer to give her some $ off the original service, or a free oil change. The whole ordeal was very stressful, and time consuming. So, to all those up in Petoskey that got coolant system flushes on or around Nov. 21 2013...YOU HAD BETTER CHECK YOUR COOLANT READINGS!!! Needless to say, we will no longer be doing business with them, and we will be letting our family, friends, and neighbors know about this. read more
