Cargo 1 Catfish & 6 Shrimp

Fantastic! Dad & I were in Baytown for one night. He wanted seafood. We looked up restaurants and narrowed it down to a couple. We chose this one. We finally got on right. We had American Shrimp Cocktail. Shrimp could have been colder, but still very good. We both had catfish and shrimp. Outstanding. In Galveston you would pay $22 plus; $10.99. Definitely will go back.

We spent our day in Baytown Raceway today. We had an amazing time at the raceway when halfway through the day oir sandwiches and healthy snacks weren't enough to get us through this TX heat. Not knowing where to go and being new to the area and TX we've relied a lot on google, yelp and the locals for recommendations. We ended up going to this great place. Fast service and delicious food. It did satisfy our hunger. We ordered alligator bites and a few entrée menu and they did not fail our pallette If you haven't stop by for a visit, do so. You will not be disappointed. **we also ordered 2 lbs of spicy crawfish and alligator for takeaway

a bowl of craws and corn on a table

I work driving through East Texas and usually try to hit up a crawfish place once a month. Always looking for the best of the best. The restaurant on appearance looks dated but has a a pretty large seating area with plenty of tables. Not sure if they have music but it would've been nice if they had some playing to drown out the guttural noises I was making whilst mechanically destroying my meal. The waitress who took my order was very attentive but when I asked about the crawfish, she had a very indifferent attitude. Initially I was only going to order 4 Lbs with some corn and sausage but the restaurant had a deal for 5Lbs at a pretty decent price. The meal came out piping hot and the portion was all of the 5Lbs that was advertised. The corn was naturally sweet but would have been better if had been cooked with the crawfish because it didn't have seasoning. The sausage was ok but I'm pretty sure it wasn't andouille. The crawfish itself was absolutely delicious! The majority of the mudbugs were large and seasoned just right. There were a few things that would I would suggest though. The place only offers one flavor or hotness and while the heat builds slightly and tasted delicious, It would have been better to have a hotter option. The crayfish also needed to have been purged longer. I was almost able to eat the whole tray and left pretty satisfied.

My colleagues daily special (Red Snapper With 5 Shrimp)

Inexpensive, excellent service, good food...Baytown seafood is a lunch go to. The seafood is lightly seasoned yet still flavorful. Their fried meals come with fries and a salad while the grilled selections offer sautéed veggies and dirty rice. They offer daily specials which are an average of 3-5 bucks less than the menu price...win! The service was exceptional and the food was plentiful. There were a lot of big, burly guys in there, I'm just saying. I ordered the 1 cat, 6 shrimp which included fries and a salad. I ate my salad, half my fish, 2 shrimp and a few fries and it was nap time. Definitely worth a second look!

This was my goto place for fried crawfish; however, today the fried crawfish were waaayyy overcooked!

Great local seafood joint. Fresh, hot, fast, tasty, and cheap. Don't get me wrong the curb appeal is lacking, and the mix of brown leather booths, banquets and dark wood walls is nothing to write home about. However once you get passed that, the smell of fresh seafood and spices, gets you salivating. Their menu has just about every kind of mix/match seafood combination you can think of. Each plate comes with fresh cut French fries and a salad, or with a dinner you get a combo of dirty rice and crawfish étouffée. Did I mention for cheap! They also have an a la carte menu which features soft-shell crab, hush puppies, frogs legs, etc... The grilled frogs legs were to die for. They are so tender, and brushed with an olive oil and herb finishing sauce. We were so impressed with them, that we got an extra order to go. Great hole in the wall spot for fresh seafood priced right.

Loved this place. Authentic Seafood, not fancy but good damn cooking. Had the Jumbo Shrimp. Salad was very cold as i like them. Shimp Breading had a great taste, didnt need any sauce. Very Fresh Tasting. Fries were crispy and and seasoning on them. I enjoyed the lunch very much. Will be back one day when in the area!!

They do have live bands so it may get loud, if that's not your thing. Now for the food... there was so much we wanted to try like the fried trio (zucchini, mushrooms, and pickles), but we chose the bacon deviled eggs and they did not disappoint! The bacon was candied and oh so good. They have a really good salad bar, and the waitress charged us for the kids portion since we were all getting meals that didn't come with a trip. Lots of good toppings to choose from. They have yummy rolls with honey cinnamon butter. My only complaint was the ranch and blue cheese was a bit too runny, and the blue cheese lacked flavor. My bonus daughter and I split the wings and the seafood platter. The wings are really good, we got hot and cherry jalapeño barbecue. The seafood platter was very good, huge portion, 6 shrimp and 2 large pieces of catfish, and the french fries were awesome. I just wish the tartar sauce tasted a little bit better. I couldn't put my finger on it, but it wasn't my favorite. My husband had the signature sirloin topped with a seafood sauce. It was really good and cooked perfectly. He got the loaded mashed potatoes, but they were very dry, they needed some cream or some butter or both. I also got a side of fried okra, I didn't care for it, not very flavorful and not crispy. My daughter got the kids cheese enchilada dinner, she didn't care for it, she said it was mostly cheese and no tortilla. The dessert menu is extensive, and it was hard to make a choice. I wanted to try the brownie bottom cheesecake, the Keylime pie cheesecake, the bourbon, pecan cheesecake, and the Texas velvet chocolate cake. My daughter and I both went for the Texas velvet chocolate cake. The waitress failed to tell me that the portion size is HUGE. Wish I'd have taken a pic! It's two huge slices of chocolate cake on top of each other. Let me tell you, though, this is one of the best chocolate cakes I've ever had. The cake part was moist, I hate that word, but I can't think of another word that describes it. Very flavorful and chocolatey. The icing was one of the best I've ever had, it's a chocolate buttercream and so good. We've eaten on this cake for a few days and it is not going to waste, that's for sure. I think the cake was the best part of the meal. Soooo good. My husband got the salted caramel pecan pie, it was very good. He's not a crust person, but he actually ate all the crust, it was so good. Overall, I really like cactus jacks and I would come back. The waitress was mediocre, for example, she told me they didn't have blue cheese, but they obviously did. She wasn't very attentive at the table, took awhile to get refills and we weren't able to get her to get us some butter for the mashed potatoes because she was rarely there, just a bunch of little things... She was very sweet though . The only reason why they got five stars was the chocolate cake, I think they really deserve four stars because their sides and condiments need some work. But, we will give it another try for sure.

Every time I drive to texas. The sun always catches my eye from the interstate. Friday, I checked…read morethem out for the first time for happy hour. I only grabbed the drink. The margarita was strong. The bartender was nice. Yesterday I stopped by for lunch. Service was good. However, I was disappointed in the food. I had the lunch fajitas, I'm not a fan of Spanish rice or refried beans. The rice was plain not seasoned. I had the cookie skillet for dessert. Ice Cream was salad as a rock. It even took forever for to melt from the heat of the cookie. Two gentlemen were sitting next to me at the bar. We was noticing how they had a few birthday celebrations that were taking place. Come to find out we both are Aries. Our birthdays are April. So one was nice of enough to pick up my tab.
