I'm really displeased with the service. We have been bringing our Fords in for years for oil changes. We always do their special "Works" package. We checked the website as we always do that it was active and it was. When we went in, Aaron S. helped us. We told him what we wanted, he said sure and tried to upsell us on some other things (this doesn't bother me, I get this is job) and we left. When we came to pick the truck up, THAT is when he notified us that the oil prices has changed and they no longer offered a Works package even though it was listed on their website. Our $49 oil changed went to $106. We also paid more the extra quart of oil. Which I get and is totally fine. A basic oil change and the multi point inspection was literally him pointing a video at my truck and said "It looks good" What a joke. I have told everyone about them for oil changes for years because how could you pass up a $49.99 oil change? I get prices have likely went up. I would've paid more. Maybe not $106 worth. But it was the shady practice that Aaron did. He didn't apologize and say "Oh, hey, sorry, I didn't know." He figured we knew. He then said "Yeah I guess we should update the website but we won't honor it." Only giving two stars because the oil change was fast and so far our vehicle is still running. read more

I WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST USING THIS DEALERSHIP FOR ANY FORD SERVICE NEEDS. I brought my vehicle in for service, and from the start, my experience was disappointing. My service advisor, Julie Nelson, was unprofessional and unhelpful throughout the entire process from the very start. I waited on hold over 15 mins each time I even tried to speak with her. In fact, during our last phone call, she laughed when I mentioned I wanted to speak with a manager. I had my vehicle serviced after a Ford Sync 3 update, only to find that my screen went completely black afterward. I was told that the issue was with the APIM , which would cost $1,800 to fix. I still don't understand how a simple software update could cause this part to fail, nor why I'm being held responsible for it. Nonetheless, I paid the amount to have it replaced. I was also told that I needed new brakes and that my rotors required resurfacing. When I arrived at 5:30 p.m. on a Friday to pick up my car, it was immediately obvious that the rotors had not been turned. Julie argued that the work had been done, claiming it was "how it's supposed to be." However, another service advisor came out and confirmed that the rotors in fact did not look like they had been serviced. Julie appeared to have no understanding of what the rotors should look like, yet she was insistent on arguing and defending the dealership's work or lack thereof. She told me that the rotors should be rough, and they would smooth out over time. Throughout the entire experience, she refused to take responsibility, consistently stating that none of the issues were their fault. At one point she let me know it was not their fault, that Ford does not sign her paycheck so it's not their problem. Given this level of customer service and lack of professionalism, I will not be returning here for any future service or for my next vehicle purchase. Would not recommend even if they are giving away free oil changes. Made a service appointment for a basic oil change on Wednesday for as early as possible(8:15am). Was told by the nice lady that with the appointment I would be out in close to an hour. Show up at 7:55 hoping to get in a little early, check in and when I say I'm waiting the guy made one of those faces. I asked how long was the wait and was told 2 hours or longer. I said even with the appointment because I was told an hour and was answered with the appointment doesn't do anything we go off the line. I hate to give Baytown Ford a bad review because I'm a former employee and upper management are good people (or at least were when I was there.) My wife and I have bought two vehicles from Baytown Ford in the past and wanted to make it a 3rd, but things unraveled fairly quickly. Initially, I went to Baytown Ford's website and found a 2015 Explorer that was in our price range but noticed it was at a different "Sonic Automotive" dealership, Momentum BMW. I figured Baytown Ford could just transfer the Explorer over like they had an Expedition for my wife once before. Later that afternoon after work, we went up to the dealership and met with the salesman (wish I could remember his name) and he told us that the $14k Explorer was no longer available, but he could get us into a $22k Traverse. We go to do paperwork and he tells us that we got an approval, but needed to put more money down. I said no problem. He comes back and says that we'd need to come back the following day because the bank wasn't responding and had likely closed. Next day while at work, salesman sends an email saying that they sold the Traverse to someone else and that they didn't have anything else to put us into. We ask again about the Explorer and he says he checked and it had sold. Several days pass and Baytown Ford calls and wants us to come in. We call back and ask what type of vehicle they had for us and he said none and that it was a remote call center that called and scheduled the appointment. I then called Momentum BMW to ask if the Explorer was still available, they answer "absolutely, when can you come in!" Baytown Ford is shady and will deliberately not put you into what you actually want if it means that they can upsell you. Won't return to Baytown Ford. read more

Attempted to discuss a car purchase via email TWICE earlier in the week. Both times was told: we'll get back to you shortly. Never heard back. Decided to come in person. Arrived around 1:00 pm on a Tuesday and checked in with the front desk. Waited approximately 20 minutes in the lobby before being greeted by any sales representative. Knew the exact car we wanted to test drive and purchase when we walked in. We admit to be focused and determined negotiators, but we didn't leave the dealership until 7:30 pm. We were literally onsite for 6.5 hours. We don't know what was such a priority over us, but they couldn't wait to leave us sitting alone. The feeling was that they just didn't want to work with us, so they wanted to waste as much of our time as possible. The sales representative would leave us sitting for sometimes up to a full hour before coming back to check on us. Literally no other customers in the dealership. At one point, they greeted another customer and worked with them at another desk for an hour while we sat next door waiting for some sort of update. It just doesn't make sense what and why so much time went by, unless they thought they were just going to wear us down. Our rep admitted that she deal a lot online and through her Facebook page; and their attention really seemed more focused on that. But for reference when we walked out to test drive a 2024 Expedition, we were told 'this one has the 2.3L engine in it' and 'it's so cool that it tells you when people in the back seat don't have on their seatbelts'. They don't put a 2.3L in a truck that can tow 9,000 lbs.... Just an example of a rep having no clue as to the vehicle they are trying to sell; as we asked several questions about the car during test drive and were told: "Um, I'm not sure." We had gotten our trade-in appraised earlier in the day by a sister company of theirs at EchoPark (they are both part of the Sonic Automotive family) and the appraisal process took less than 20 minutes before we had our cash offer. However, at Baytown Ford, it took at least 1.5 hours for them to come back to us with their offer after looking over our trade. I even saw on the sale rep's phone/computer the exact amount they offered as soon as they walked back to their desk and entered my cars info into her computer, but we got some story about "waiting for 3 offers from their buyers and call center to get the most competitive price". Thankfully they matched our initial offer from EchoPark without haggle, but there's absolutely no reason it took so long. When we started working with a manager or sales guy from F&I; who I assumed was meant to be a 'Closer.' He came over and shook our hand with an open cut bleeding above his thumb. He mentioned it after shaking our hands, but my wife had to point out to me that I needed to wash the blood off my hand; so odd. That individual worked with us in tandem with the original rep for the remaining 3.5 to 4 hours and never put a bandage on. We identified a minor issue with the vehicle that service could have quickly addressed, but they failed to notify service in time and by the time the deal was done Service was closed and we are forced to bring it back. From Texas's DMV website: "It is simple and free to transfer your license plates to your new vehicle. The TxDMV encourages you to transfer your plates because it protects you. You may transfer your plates: To a vehicle purchased from a dealer: Remove the plates and request that the dealer transfer the plates to the new vehicle." We said 'We want to transfer our plates to our new purchase." First said it couldn't be done. Then we can only transfer handicap plates. Then they said we'll take a picture and send it to the state for them to decide if they will allow the transfer. Very little faith that our old plates will transfer. Such an annoyance to feel so neglected. Eventually we were able to come to an agreement and buy the car at our preferred price; we just left exhausted and "starving". read more

I've been coming to this dealership for years to get regular service done on my vehicle, and today, I contacted them about a simple problem: the windshield washers aren't working. I was informed not only were they going to charge me $200 to do a diagnosis, but it was also going to take three days. It's evident that the dealership is not interested in doing any actual service work, only the mundane stuff you can get done anywhere; however, they will want to charge you three to four times what it would cost you to get it done elsewhere. Honestly, I can't see myself doing business with this dealership in the future, not only in the service portion of the business or even in buying a new vehicle or recommending anybody buy a car from here. read more

I took my ford F550 to Baytown ford it was a full oil air fuel filter change it was supposed to take 1.5 hrs ended up taking almost 3hrs. they cracked the fuel filter housing. they put a new one on no charge. then they couldn't get the truck started after that they finally did. but now it has to go through a full cranking cycle.then a second before it will start.at the end of this ordeal the price was 620$ I did have them put in synthetic oil I'm sure that was costly also the housing they didn't charge me for I'm guessing was hidden in there some where. anyway if you have to do a oil change don't go there. read more

I won't leave a long detailed review, just echo many other reviews of rude and unresponsive service advisors, poor communication, and taking weeks for repairs. With the prices they charge, the service should be better. The only redeeming factor was a young lady named Isabelle that called me to follow up on my review that Ford sent me. Saw a truck I liked online. Reached out to confirm with salesperson Stephanie that it was there and available. Since I am over 90 minutes away I asked if they could hold the vehicle for me. She talked to her manager and told me I had til 5 (about 2 hours) to make it down. I pull in at 4:45 and they are walking me onto the lot to show me the truck. As we are walking the guy says "you know about the wreck right"?! Turns out rear qtr panel and bumper are damaged. This was a 2019 King Ranch over 50k so that's an awful important detail. Wasn't in any pictures and I wasn't told anything before I got on the road. I will never give them my business and suggest you don't either. I guess I am also writing this review to also remind myself to never return to this place again. This is the longest I have ever owned a vehicle (10 yrs), but I try really hard to care for it, and it shows. I even attempted to purchase this same vehicle from here 10 yrs ago; however, it was clear that they were not interested in fair pricing. I ended up purchasing the last anniversary issue of the Harley Davidson edition. I take such good care of it that the day after every service visit, someone calls and makes an offer for purchase. I have begged them to stop calling, but they seem to be a bit more persistent than usual... Generally speaking, I get quite a bit of maintenance here. However, recently and from now on, I will be getting all service from the dealership at which I purchased. In the last 3 years, I have left no less than $6,000 here between a new transmission, some sort of roll bar for my tires, and extensive brake work. Well, it hasn't even been a week since I came in for an oil change and a coolant flush, and I am already back. The flush was 1 of 3 flushes recommended. While repairing some body damage, my technician (yes, my motorcycle club president) heard some hissing noise when he turned the truck off. We were playing around, and I decided to open the container that holds the coolant. My entire coolant container was not only empty but it still contained the gunk that could have been easily rinsed out. Once I returned for the service I had previously paid for and didn't receive, the service manager was sure NOT to check me in and even tried to down-play the severity of what could have happened by saying he wanted to see why my fluid was low. I had to correct him by saying it wasn't low, it was empty and who knows what is in my radiator. As usual, the day after service, I receive an offer to purchase my truck. I purchased my vehicle and was promised to have an extra key( statement was made the key guy is not onsite and would have to make an appointment) and i asked about programming my trailer brakes and if floor mats came with the truck. I was told all would be covered when i returned. I notified my salesman Kevin and made an appointment for 3/7/2022 to pickup my key, floor mats and have my trailer brakes programmed. I asked the service guy and they had no appointment. I found out that Kevin had arranged this with Chanz. When i addressed Chanz he said there was no arrangement made. They then sent some lady out and she said they couldnt help me. They then pointed me to the used car sales manager. He would not help me and said Kevin no longer worked there. We shame on me for taking someone's word ( doesn't mean much at this local dealership). I will make sure that i do not ever buy anything from this dealer or any other Sonic company. read more

I own a 2019 Ford Escape that I didn't purchase from this dealership, but have brought it to Baytown Ford for all warranty work and oil change and maintenance work exclusively as I lived in Baytown. I've brought my vehicle in to the dealership on several different occasions for issues:- 1.) Needed new engine due to coolant issue 2.) Needed new USB modular as USB quit working 3.) Driver door hinge broke and door wasn't closing properly 4.) Needed a new radio control modular as radio controls quit working 5.) I've had multiple oil changes done 6.) Regular maintenance done 7.) Fog light burned out 8.) one Key fob replaced as it wasn't working properly 9.) Recall for a coolant issue Each and every time that I have brought my vehicle to Baytown Ford for warranty work that was covered or I had to pay out of pocket for maintenance work, I felt that I was treated in a professional and courteous manner. As a few things that was wrong with my vehicle the parts were on back order, however my service advisor called me weekly to keep me updated and informed me to when the part would be in and when I could schedule to bring vehicle in to be fixed. Out of every issue, there was one time that I felt there was a lack of communication and it was quickly resolved in a timely manner by going to the service manager. I was always greeted with a smile, and often by my name as the service advisors learned my name. I would definitely highly recommend Baytown Ford for your vehicle service needs. read more

I had my 2014 explorer in their shop for a recall work last week. I asked them to check the check engine light and give me a quote for repairs. Two days later I was told that it will cost $3,500 to replace the catalytic converters or trade it in for a new car or pay $149 for them to diagnostics my check engine light ( which I can get it for free at Auto Zone or auto parts ). Recently went there to service our F250. As soon as we arrived, our advisor tried to use scare tactics in order to upsell us. We regularly service our truck and were not interested in their diagnostics that cost $100+ when autozone will do it for free. We had an appointment and were told that our truck "shouldn't take too long since we had an appointment". We then called an Uber to get lunch and came back 2 hours later. Truck wasn't ready, which is ok, it normally takes 1-3 hours when we take our truck in. 3.5 hours later our truck finally gets pulled to the front and then it takes an additional 30 minutes just for them to get the paperwork together. I went and asked our advisor multiple times when our truck would be ready and her response was "it's almost done". To me, almost done isn't 60 plus minutes. We were in a very big time crunch and if we were told up front that the truck would take 4 hours instead of being told "it shouldn't take too long", then we wouldn't have done our business there or at least not on that day. My issue is not how long it took, it is that we were led on to believe the job wouldn't take very long. I'm certain this is done intentionally so that customers don't walk out or take their business elsewhere. I asked to speak to a manager after our truck sat there for 20 minutes and we were still waiting for paperwork. James was very rude and even said that since we own a diesel, we "should have known" how long it would take. Those were his literal words. WE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN. I found that to be extremely disrespectful and his employee SHOULD HAVE KNOWN to inform the customer how long the job would take accurately. I have receipts to show the work we have had done before and never has it taken 4 hours. He defended his employee which is admirable in a boss but very bad for customer service. His employee should have been up front and transparent with us instead of leading us on to make a sale. And also, they have a shuttle service but that was never offered to us so we paid for an Uber. They also told me that the online appointments don't mean anything as far as when your vehicle gets worked on, it is just an appointment to see an advisor so don't bother wasting your time making appointments online. There was absolutely NO PRESSURE to buy the more expensive car. They offered me a great deal on my trade in and a really good deep overall. I went in with my guard up because of past horrendous car buying experiences BUT this was really pleasant! Daryl was great to work with because he wasn't TRYING to sell me a car he seemed to really want me to get what I wanted at a price that met my budget. I went in today to pick up my license plates and Daryl ran my car through the car wash! Went to the dealership on 7/7/2017 pre approved from Capital One to check and purchase a 2011 Acadia that was advertised on the dealership's website at a very good price, provided the SUV was in good condition. I was taken to the back lot where I was told the SUV was still being detailed but ready for sale that day if desired. Was given all the numbers and they were in my range of what I was budgeting to pay per month. I made an appointment for today, 7/8/2017 to have my wife look it over and to test drive it. If all was fine, we were going to take it home then. When we arrived today, we were told immediately by our salesperson that while prepping the vehicle, they noticed the AC was not working. He then said due to this, the sales manager had to raise the selling price by $2,000 if I wanted to buy it. So they set and published the asking price without inspecting the vehicle first? I mean the advertised price was based on their belief the vehicle was in working order and the advertisement with the price made no disclaimer of mechanical issues. That makes no sense and in reality, should have reduced the value of the vehicle due to a broken AC, not increase the value and add the repair price to the asking price. We also noticed the check engine light was on so who knows what else is wrong with it. Bottom line is that a reputable dealership will honor its advertised price. A reputable dealership will also fully check out a used vehicle, repair what is needed and then set the asking price. Baytown Ford did neither. Do not trust this dealer and do not give them your business as they have proved to be unethical, unprofessional and dishonest in their pricing to get customers to see them. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau and filed a complaint. read more

On Friday 5-6-22 at approximately 1pm my beloved 2014 F350 Dually came crawling into your dealership Baytown Ford towing a 43ft 3 axle toy hauler weighing 20,000 pounds. I heard something blow on the freeway and realized it had something to do with the turbo as I had no power. I was driving to Crystal beach from Cypress Tx at the time and am not familiar with the area. I pulled off freeway as I saw Buc-ees then I saw the Baytown Ford sign. I went from almost in tears to a slight smile. I pulled in next to the service department as truck with trailer was long. I went inside and talked to Joseph Lane and took him outside and showed him the issue. We went back inside where he reassured me that they hade the part and this is was an easy fix. The tech was at lunch but I was all smiles now. The tech "Randy" also reassured me everything was fixable and would be fine. The service was done in a very timely manner and with great professionalism. He even asked if we had Ford Pass and we said yes and we checked and had enough money accumulated to pay for the whole repair. I am glad I had the pleasure of meeting these two individuals who took the time to talk to me and made me feel at home and like family. If I did not live in Cypress, Tx., this would be my dealership. Words cannot express my gratitude and sincere thanks for the for the above and beyond service I received that day. I will recommend this dealership to anyone I know. I want to make it clear that my family and I have shopped here for our new vehicles a numerous amount of times (loyal customers )and have referred some as well. We have always been satisfied with our customer service and that is what had kept us as loyal customers. But the incident that occurred in the service Dept. has given me a change in heart with Baytown ford. I took my truck in for service because I went through a life threatening experience as I was driving my truck on the interstate it shook vigorously to the extreme were I had no control of the steering apparently there is a recall for this that I was not aware of called the death wobble! Apparently Ford knows there fleet of f-250 series and f-350 series have this issue and still decided to sell these high priced trucks! Unbelievable ! I payed 80k and some change for my truck I expect exceptional performance from it and that is not the case! Not only was I already disappointed that my truck now has this issue right at 50k miles. As I'm getting helped by this wonderful employee Ms. Dawn I believe is her name, one of her co workers reaches out in front of my face with a box of masks and says can you put it on my boss is behind me! I refused and continued my conversation with Ms.Dawn (whom is protected because she is wearing her mask) the lady whom approached me about the mask obviously wasn't taking no for a answer insisted and told me I needed to step out! My response was I am constitutionally protected from refusing to wearing a mask, and told her at this time I don't have to disclose my health to you. She did not care what I had to say And proceeded to ask me to get out ! Reminder guys I'm spending money here and thats the customer service I get back!Its a Hypocrisy I told her there's employees running around with either it off or half way down there face what's the difference. I know there are an enormous amount of negative reviews, however I personally have NOT experienced this myself. In fact, I've had nothing but decent experiences here. I always drop my car here for regular oil changes. Sometimes with an appointment, other times not. Please forgive me because I can't for the life of me remember the name of the gentleman that always cares for me and he knows my name. I am so sorry! I will continue to use their service department as I am satisfied with how I am treated when I am there. We just actually bought a new F150 from here right before thanksgiving and they went above and beyond to make us satisfied customers. My husband and I were there looking at a Toyota Tundra last week. We loved the truck but they were way off on their offer on our trade-in. We were there for over 2.5 hours test driving and waiting on salesmen to do salesmen things. We went 2 blocks away to discuss numbers and get some dinner, but before we left, we gave salesman our cell number and told him we would be back in about a hour. About 1 hour later, we returned to the dealership, ready to buy the truck, only to learn they sold it. REALLY!!! I smell something fishy! We were gone for 1 hour and they sold the truck! WOW, that's amazing! Now I know it's possible to buy a vehicle in 1 hour! I called and asked to speak to manager, it's been a week and I am still waiting. I really liked the quick service. I waited around 45 min for oil change, tire rotation, and installation. Of new wheel locks. All that was free today. I bought the 2015 new in January and love it. The service team was very friendly and prompt. I was surprised that they didn't run it through a wash, vacuum and top off the windshield fluid. That why I gave them 3 stars. read more

I bought a ford focus and when I take it to rule they didn't give me the right service they sold you a guarantee that they then don't want to meet the maintenance area is the worst do not fix the cars but they come out with defects after you take it to give it a service I don't I recommend it not a star would give you my advice don't go to baytown ford read more

Don't come to this dealership for any of your needs. Terrible customer service and here's is my example. Not gonna sugar coat anything, bought my car back in January, brand new 2020 mustang fully loaded. 4 months and 8200 miles down the road, my check engine light was flashing and i brought it in. (May 24th, 2021). No loaner car provided i waited and was told by Abraham in service my car would be done no later than that next tuesday and he would call me monday that it may be done by then. No call monday or tuesday so i go in tuesday to pick up my car. They say there is another issue with the coil pack after changing the cracked intake manifold. They change it out with a new one from another new car on the lot and send me on my way. Not even 1/4 mile down the road the check engine light comes on and i bring it right back only to get checked on for a longer period of time(once again without a loaner car or compensation) James the service manager told me that he preaches to them about how important it is to have communication with the customer. I ask that they give me a day by day call on what is the status. 2 days in a row Abraham who was in charge of, so i had to reach out to them on information on my car. Fast forward a week and Abraham is out sick and i have to call again and tell James to contact me since Abraham is out and he was short with me just trying to get me off the phone as fast as possible and being a little rude to me. So two weeks later after i drove my car after they (fixed it) and 21 days total in the shop they say it needs a new motor. 22 days today it's been in the shop still without my car, a loaner, or compensation from having to ask for rides or borrow cars. This lack of customer service is deplorable and is why after getting my car serviced, the family buying at least one car from them and servicing their car here, this is the last time we will step foot in this dealership. Like i said from this example and from what others have said, I wouldn't step foot in or do any buisness with them as I will be taking my business and family's business elsewhere. read more

Ok, I agree it is way the heck out there! But the service you will get is awesome! My sales rep Jesus is the only guy to ask for... he is not the typical pushy blank blank blank car salesman. Jesus took extra time with me to make sure I found exactly the car I was looking for... he even let me test drive 2 different cars for a couple days each, just to make sure I was happy. I finally chose the 2010 Ford Fusion Sport... never dreamed I'd feel like a walking commerical for Ford, but really I love it. It's been just over a month now, and I made the right choice, without a doubt! If you are going to make the drive, be sure to call first and ask for Jesus first... make sure he's gonna be there, then go. Tell him I sent you! read more
