This place is AWESOME, i was working locally when i was around 19 and came here with some coworkers and they ended up serving me a ton of fantastic drinks. our group came here on a school bus so the DD was taken care of. Went in last night for a quick burger meal. Was there for 2 hours. Service very slow. Food was terrible. Could have cooked these burgers at home. Menu said gorgonzola bacon stuffed burger. We each ordered same burger. Sounds delicious, but no-nothing was stuffed, small patty, overcooked, just a few bits of cheese and 1 small piece of bacon on top with shredded lettuce and a mushy tomato. Had coleslaw on the side - it came in a pill size plastic cup. It came with no condiments on it and when we asked for some waitress looked at us like we were crazy. Overpriced and an overall very disappointing experience. Will not be back and we recently moved to the area. read more

Perhaps I shouldn't mention this but I have to because it is the thing that made Bayside so freaking awesome I just wanted to scream. They let us bring our dog on the deck so he wouldn't die from heat stroke in the car. And then...THEN...they brought us a bowl of water for him. Food is alright but seems a little expensive for the quality and portions. Service can be spotty and sometimes may receive the rude end of the wait staff. This is a good place for music and dancing and it has some nice views of the bay including sunsets. read more

Not much to look at on the outside but better on the inside. We came with an older couple that knew the place 25 years ago and they said much hasn't changed. Things were updated but it still had the old bones. We sat near the bar, the booth seating was a little snug and table a little creaky but passable with a nice view of the lake. We ordered four different sandwiches and all was good, class pub fare. The service was good, started with bartender then went to a waiter, both friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Took quite awhile to get service after we were seated. After ordering our drinks we waited for 10 minutes to have them brought to the table. Ordered a seafood meal that came with a salad. The salad was NEVER brought. The seafood was average, flank steak burrito was below average. We had the microwaved brownie with ice cream on top, didn't enjoy it. Ambience was nice with a decent view of the water. Server was friendly but seemed flustered. This was a Wednesday so not a busy night, with most of the inside seating vacant. Very expensive for average to sub par food. I will stick to Twiggs, Jeff's and Mimmos for my eating in St. Albans. If I want water views I will stick to Burlington. read more

I hesitate giving them even one star. The food is mediocre at best, the service is horrendous, and the owners couldn't care less. When getting a refill takes 20 minutes, and getting dinner takes 45 minutes, the owners sit at the bar drinking, and never bother to assist in the chaos. Our regular group has been treated rudely. We will never return. There are plenty of other good restaurant choices in St. Albans. You're much better off choosing one of them. read more

This run down excuse for a restaurant is so overrated in every way. The best part about it is looking at the lake, and that is it. The food is ordinary and WAY overpriced, the staff is slow, and the back of the restaurant is a dump. Terrible bands, outdated seating-this place needs a makeover-NOW!! Very expensive for what you get. I love the ambience and the service is good depending on where you sit. You get the best service at the bar. The food is mediocre for the most part, although the wings and crab cakes are delicious; again, a bit pricey though. It's great that it is located right on the bay; but the sun coming in through the windows can be bothersome, depending on what time of day you're there. All and all I will go back (and have gone back several times). I'm rating it three stars but if there was something in between 3 and 4 that's what I would give it. read more

Wow! What a letdown! I had the beer battered fish and couldn`t find the fish! when I complained I was offered a free dessert. Are you kidding me? The fish with onion rings was $20.00. Even though I do love what Saint Albans has done for its downtown, it's worth taking a drive down Lake Street all the way to the bay too! Right there at the crossroads of the bay you'll find Bayside Pavilion. It doesn't look like much from the outside, it has limited parking, but wow the food, the entertainment and the service is SPOT ON. They've recently revamped the menu so you will find all kinds of great seafood, meats and pasta dishes to choose from. We like Wednesday night because they have a band that plays and a dancefloor. The bar is spacious with booth seating and the dining area offers a nice view of the bay. If the weather is right the patio is the best spot to enjoy the views. Every dish: appetizer and entree has been great here so far. My favorite is the battered asparagus. The burgers are perfectly done and I love the salmon burger. Waitstaff are real pros and are very attentive. I've not yet had anything near bad service here. Prices are not bad and well worth it for what you get but it's not a cheap dining experience. I highly recommend it for dates or large get togethers. read more

Bayside Pavillion is a diamond in the rough. I've been plesanty surprised to have discovered this local haunt this fall and have visited it nine weekends testing the menu from burgers to the specials of the day. Every meal was cooked perfectly. The wait staff has been both pleasant and professional. I now make it a habit when in the area and am eager to hear of there soon coming marinia. read more

Came here with a few co workers on a friday afternoon. It was a bit busy and only one waitress. We waited 40 minutes for appetizers. The waitress apologized for the wait and said the owners son was coming to help. He arrived and spent his time talking to a girl. Next time we will go to One Federal and get treated like valued customers. read more

I work at a Nursing Home in Burlington, and we brought a group of seniors to Bayside Pavilion for lunch (first time there)- We were a party of 10, including 3 people in wheelchairs. I made a reservation the day before- Upon our arrival, the staff had our tables all set up so we could sit together, family-style, inside the dining area near the bay windows (glass sliding doors) facing the lake, a lovely view with a nice breeze on a hot day! Our server welcomed our group and was friendly and cordial taking our orders within minutes after our group was ready to order. Our meals were delivered timely- even as more patrons began arriving for lunch and drinks- and most impressive, all our meals were served at the same time, and deliciously hot! Our elders (and staff!) raved about their meals- (clams, seafood, salads, nachos, specialty burgers)... Great prices, too... We discovered that the two men (the wait staff serving everybody) are the owner's sons- They conversed with our group, shared some history of the area, and made everyone feel welcomed and special. Everyone agreed it was one of the most pleasurable lunch outings we've had (and there have been many!) relative to the setting, the service, and great food! We will be back for sure, and give a big "thumbs-up and thank you" for helping to make the day so enjoyable! read more

Really disappointed! We were there with friends in early August.we took them there because last year the food was great! And so was the service......don't know if they changed cooks or are just trying to save their money, but our meals were terrible, tasteless, and the portions were child size. They may have a nice beer selection but their wine is limited at best! All was overpriced. The view is great, that's where my 2 stars come from. I have stopped recommending this restaurant to friends. They are far from the only game in town. Seems like the emphasis is on the money to be made from alcohol, not food! read more

i was in st. albans for business and stop by bayside for dinner. it has a cool bar U shaped bar with great VT beer on tap. good prices great service and the burger was really good. i will defiantly return next time i am in st albans. read more
