I went here to this conveniently located store in my neighborhood to have a chipped key cut for my C5 Corvette. The clerk had no problem cutting the blank key which I supplied (and purchased on the internet) and even offered to cut an older key which another locksmith shop made for me which only worked one sided. Happily, the new key worked perfectly, although the old one still worked only on one side. This saved me the cost of going to the dealer, which would have been expensive, or to Ace Hardware which insisted on using their own blanks for a lot more money. It's the personal service from these smaller stores which makes a huge difference. Please patronize them to keep our neighborhoods strong. read more

I happened to run out of sand paper in the middle of fixing my bathroom as i am painting and fixing bathrooms fixtures. I walked in to the store looking for 1000 grit sand paper but there was none, i explained what I needed it for and they suggested 400 grit sand paper, so i bought it. Needless to say i was grateful i didn't have to go to home depot to look for it and the guy at the counter was helpful. Sometimes you pay a little more to save time. So my sister broke her keys inside the key hole. So I came to this hardware store because it was he closest one. The service at the store was nice that's why I have them a 2 star instead of 1. So I ask what my options were and that told me the "only" option was to change the key hole. So I took their advice brought a new keyhole and had then install it. I ask them at the store on how much it would cost me if they came to install it. They wouldn't tell me the price they said they need to go there and take a look first. So I told them the address they came within 10 min and finish with 20 min then left and charge me $150 which was expensive since I had to pay for the key hole separately. The problem wasn't even the money. The problem was they took our original key hole. I didn't notice it until I call my dad and he told me to keep it safe because it was expensive and he can probably have someone fix it. So I went looking for it and I call the hardware store and he said he would call me back as soon as they call the person who install the new key hole. So I call them back after half and hour and they told me they took it by accident and I have to drive to their hardware store to pick it up. The reason I m writing this is because recently my friend told me that we didn't need to install a new key hole and the price the charge was to high read more

With all of these big Home Depots and major hardware retailers out there, it was quite pleasant to come across this mom and pops operation that still knows how to treat a customer. The owner, David, was very knowledgable, professional, and most importantly accommodating. I was once a regular customer of this store to get keys cut and pick up odds and ends for my home repair Jon's cause it was local, quick and convenient. Or so I thought. Recently purchased an air pump for my car from store which clearly shows and says it is for automobiles as well as bicycles, basketballs etc. When I tried to use it to fill a tire that was low on air I realized pump was defective and did not work. Now it blew air through the hose but not with sufficient force when connected to the valve of a tire. Soni went to return it for a new one. My wife went in as I waited in the car with the receipt. The clerk was rude and combative to my wife who is Hispanic. (I am caucasian. She came out and said he won't replace it and insists it works. I couldn't believe I had to go in and speak with the man who is Asian. I went in and he was arrogant and disrespectful to me saying the pump clearly works and pressing the petal showing air blowing through. I stated for like the tenth time it does not work do you want to come out and try it on my car to see and believe me? I was amazed that a repeat customer like myself who lives locally would be treated so poorly and my wife disrespected as well. Long story made short he finally gave me another pump and I took it to try on my car and guess what, it didn't work either. Rather then go in again and fight for my money back I just kept the pump cause it wasnt worth the aggravation. So if you're reading this dont give them your business or money cause they sell crappy products and if something is broken they will not stand behind their products and honor their customers. I would give zero stars if I could. Buyer Beware this store is a ripoff. read more
