Lactose free vegan gluten free raw cake? Check. Different varieties of healthy allergy-sensitive food like chia pudding and various delicious salads are available too. Normal options for people without allergies can be found as well (and apparently are uite tasty!) The coffee is smooth and delicious, and Bonsoy is used (as well as lactose free milk, and regular milks). Lactose free hot chocolate is one of my favourites to have, although they have a regular hot choccie as well. Decor is hipster, but friendly hipster. Glass bottles of water in crates and wooden tables. Only thing is, dont bring a group because it doesn't have the space or table layout!

Completely vegetarian with some good vegan offerings, be amazed at the degree of soy replacement in your sandwiches with the magic soy bean pretending to be bacon, pancetta and other types of piggies. The ciabattas and wraps on offer are mouthwatering and well worth a proper peruse. Personally I loved their salads on offer, the dressings are top notch and the flavours are creative to deliver something which is filling and tasty and yet not a poached chook in sight. Coffee is top quality, lattes smooth and creamy, just as they should be. The Annex also acts as a live space, the piano smooshed in the corner does cop a beating occasionally and the cafe holds court as a live music venue on special nights.

Stopped in to zest for a Sunday Breakfast. We were greeted by very friendly staff and although no…read moretable was immediately available, we were offered one quite quickly. This cafe is very small. Absolutely no room for a pram but we were shown where we could stash it semi securely. This place is loud! I am showing my age but I generally dine out to enjoy a conversation and this was almost impossible. The place was absolutely packed and of course that will add to the noise factor. Service was really fantastic. Our coffee orders were taken and drinks received in an extremely timely fashion considering how busy the place was. The coffee was delicious (and much needed at this point). Our meal orders were taken shortly after and again received quite fast. Now. I must admit I was not super impressed by my meal. I ordered poached eggs and bacon. The eggs and bacon themselves were ok, but the toast was rock hard and quite measly. The positives are that the meals were quite well priced. The staff were amazing. Super friendly and obliging despite how run off their feet they all were. The staff alone however don't make up for my average meal and the noise factor.

All I could think of was that she must be hungover too, otherwise there was no excuse for her attitude and you could clearly see how she felt with her facial expressions. This tarred an otherwise good experience. The cafe has a lovely ambience otherwise, with the small tables under the rambling vines creating a relaxed vibe. Our first coffee order didn't come out until the staff were reminded, we were told lost docket as the reason. I appreciated the honesty and the helpful attitude of the young man who then brought them out promptly. The breakfast was simple yet nice, poached eggs and bacon with fresh avocado. My friend had the big breakfast and it looked delightful, apparently it was delicious also. Soy latte was strong and smooth, with only a hint of bitterness. All in all not amazing and I wouldn't go out of my way to come back, but fine for what we were there for.

I luckily made a reservation for my Saturday birthday brunch with some girlfriends. Thank god I…read moredid, it was hectic! An obviously popular café in Glenelg located on Broadway. A nice change from Jetty Rd, great food and drink options. Arriving mid morning, It was very popular with the majority of seats taken up. Quite a good amount of seating inside and out, with the option to buy your produce from the adjacent shop. I went with poached eggs and avocado on toast, eggs were cooked perfectly and the avocado mix was beautiful. I grabbed a Go Go goji juice which was delicious also. Friends chose the veggie fritter which was also given the thumbs up. Friendly staff and they were happy to help with your order and despite being busy, our orders came out within a reasonable time frame for a Saturday morning. Definitely worth a look if you are in the Glenelg area and want somewhere a bit quieter than the bustling Jetty Road.

Gorgeous coffee, and a magnificent slice of pear and ginger cake - yum! The breakfasts that were coming out looked devine, so I'm looking forward to trying that out too. I also spied some yummy looking wraps and other lunch items on the board. Staff were friendly, and there is plenty of seating - so glad we left before the cyclists arrived though - *shudder* - nowhere is safe from them!!! We also did a bit of shopping next door in the little organic shop - it's only small, so the range isn't massive - but they do stock soap nuts, which I was very impressed with (they are nuts that you use instead of laundry powder - highly recommended!). We also sampled (and bought) some gorgeous sour dough bread made by Small World Bakery, which was delicious. All in all, this is definitely a place we will visit time and time again - yay!
