A day trip to Erieau was completed with lunch at Bayside Brewing. A great spot as you can watch the boats out on the water. The food was good - we split a Caesar salad and each had a pizza. I had the Oh Canada and my boyfriend had the Long Pond BBQ. The BBQ pizza was definitely the better of the two. Be expected to wait though. Service is on the slower side. And while I was waiting for a table I watched one of the servers before bringing food to another table open the quesadilla to check if it was the correct one for her patron not the best thing to do in front of people waiting to be seated. read more

Awful service. I have never waited so long in my life when ordering at a restaurant. Near 1.5 hrs before food came out. I feel it would have been even longer if we didn't finally complain. We even had to wait for cutlery and napkins etc... overall failure. It's sad because this used to be a favorite of mine. The patio was beautiful but not worth the wait. read more

Be prepared to wait. Everyone you see around you with drinks and no dishes will be served before you. The beer is okay probably some if the best micro brew I've had because it's closest to store bought. Get a seat looking at the lake and bring a friend to enjoy the view. I had the perch roll which they had no perch so it's a pickerel roll but looks more like a salad roll. Fries and wrap were good. Cottage town, maybe it's me that moves too fast idk. Nice location. Service is slow. My husband ordered a beer sampler and it came in three small plastic cups as they ran out of glasses. A few minutes later another waitress serves the same sampler to the table next to us in glasses that were definitely bigger than what my husband got. Ok great! Happens I guess! Ordered the fish and chips. Haddock piece seemed huge!!! But in reality it was mostly batter. Super greasy! We might have to go back for the beautiful location, but will try other stuff! read more

Enjoyed a wonderful evening meal sitting on the back deck. The sun was shining, a light breeze was blowing, and boats were cruising up and down the bay. How could it get any better! Well..... We had dinner. That's how. I enjoyed a delicious beer (Bronzeback) whilst my wife had a white wine. Our starter was a warm pretzel. There was one on a counter waiting to be delivered to a table when we walked in. I don't know if it was there on purpose or not, but it sure peaked our interest enough to try it. Should you? Absolutely. Our mains consisted of the Mediterranean salad for Nancy and the Beef and Blue Burger for me. Another excellent choice. The service was fast and friendly. Kim was very attentive to us even though the deck was full of other diners. We will definitely return to this wonderful brewpub. read more

Today, I went out to the Chatham-Kent area to go geocaching with my parents, and we go to this area often because they live in Windsor and I live in London. We were in the Rondeau and Erieau area and were getting kind of hungry and decided upon Bayside Brewing. My mom had been out here last week with friends, and had this suggested to them. Erieau is right by the lake, so it's a bustling town during the summer months, but it was a very quiet today. We walked into the establishment and I think we were in the brewery tour area, further back we're swinging doors and an arrow posted beside it that said Eat. So we ventured into the dining area, which was pretty decent for a small town like Erieau, and there was a couple other patrons there in a booth, eating away at their meals. The place was clean, and we were seated immediately in tall chairs and a table by the window. The music was your mix of classic rock and newer aged rock, which my dad loved. Our waitress Jackie, who took care of us was awesome. She was really attentive and my parents tried a plank of three different beers. I wish I liked beer, otherwise I would have tried it myself too. They liked the lager the best. For our lunch we had ordered an appetizer of the Sriracha cheddar balls, and my mom had ordered the pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries, which comes with this delicious aioli, my dad ordered a classic hamburger and I had ordered the buffalo chicken wrap with sweet potato fries. They all came out fresh and hot, but I had received regular fries instead of sweet potato. That was quickly resolved, which was amazing and I too received that delicious aioli. It was like a sweet honey taste, it was the best part of the meal. Afterwards, we went to the brewery store and I purchased a t-shirt and my dad got two cans for my boyfriend. He had one, found it really strong and more of a sipping beer, but he likes it. The other server that was there was talking with my mom about our geocaching adventures, and had helped her bring up our boxed food. The service was excellent, and I hope it's busier than when we went. I'll be back with my boyfriend who is the beer connoisseur. read more

Yummy fish, great ambiance, and the beers are great. Highly recommend . Don't know about the people who complain because they had to "wait" .... the staff are super friendly and its probably the most popular place in Erieau to eat. Looking forward to the outside deck opening up for summer. read more

Bayside Brew Pub was one of the locations on the Shunpiker tour and decided we'd save that one as our last we stop to enjoy a nice dinner by the water. Once we arrived, we realized we might not get a table because we had no reservation and it was after all , Mothers Day. That didn't seem to be a problem. The hostess graciously found us a table fairly quickly and we had a nice view of the water. We could have sat outside but it was just a little bit too breezy for that. My daughter and I shared a Caesar salad and a gluten free pizza. They were very tasty and surprisingly filling. We finished off with their Creme Brûlée and freshly brewed coffee. I'm a bit of a Creme Brûlée aficionado so I was a tad disappointed with theirs. The Creme was not smooth at all. The portion size was great for sharing but overall texture and flavor not the best. The service was very friendly and efficient . Overall , a very nice experience and a relaxing way to end our mystery tour. read more

The last time I was here the service was so slow ( mostly teenagers/ young/ inexperienced waitstaff). That being said the waitstaff do not know their product very well. For example when asked what beer would pair well with the dish I would like to order the response was "I don't know, let me check". Also the quality of food has gone downhill over the past couple of years. I wonder if they even have an experienced chef any longer. It's a shame as they are a Brew Pub and I wish them all the success but they fail in the true knowledge of what a Brew Pub Restaurant should be and offer. read more

DO BETTER..... you couldn't possibly do worse. FUBAR alone describes this place. I gave them a second chance & it was the worst decision of my life. We waited over 2 HOURS & still no food. Our waitress, who never gave her name, was entirely indifferent & ignored us all night. We watched as at least 3 tables sat after us ate & left. My child was starving after fun on the beach & this place was radiation burn. We were sat after a 15min wait, no biggie. Another 20mins to take our drink order... okay... COVID. 10mins later she returns to retake our drink order at which time we also ordered food... give her a break, maybe it's pregnancy brain. Another 10mins for 2 sodas & a promise my tea was on its way. "Okay, great, thank you!" (No reply from her whatsoever) 10mins later she sets down hot water & cup without saying a word & walks away. After trying to get her attention as she wandered around we had to call out to her. In the next 10 mins she walked out twice to bring drinks to tables....My water is reforming into an iceberg. She finally walks over with silverware & I ask for my tea bag & she acts annoyed AT ME. Similarly, she brought silverware for 2, not 3. Moments later our pretzel app arrives & she follows behind with my tea bag. I didn't even dare to ask for new water. The next hour we are pretty much ignored. We watch as other tables come & go. Our server walks past us & our dirty pretzel plate neatly at the corner of the table to pick up a dirty dish on the table next to us. My child is shivering since the sun that was shining bright & warm when we arrived has now set & gone. I am holding her next to me under my sweater for warmth. Several other tables have asked us if we were okay & what was taking so long. All we have been told was that "a large to-go order was placed & they have to deliver within 40mins, & all I do is put the orders in". No apologies. No offer for another app. Not even an offer to refill the sodas until 2 full hours had passed. 10mins after the refill offer & another table that sat down after us ate & left, I pulled out my wallet to pay for our drinks & leave. Mind you- I have never left a restaurant without even being served before. I am the annoying person that tells others to be understanding & give people a chance- we all have bad days, right? Now she actually walks to our table without having to call for her (a miracle) & tells us our food is going in right now. I just looked at her as I set two $10 bills down & said "I really don't want it anymore" to which she says "I understand" in that tone that really says "Good. I don't care & just want to go home anyway". At this point my mom cannot take her attitude anymore & confronts her about our 2HR WAIT. She blames it all on the kitchen. This is when I took over explaining how we have eyes... & other tables that sat & ordered after us have THEIR PIZZA, so I'm not buying the whole full pizza oven story. She didn't communicate with us, didn't offer anything to tide us over, ignored us repeatedly & let our app come out before I could get a tea bag. To which she rolled her eyes with "well, apps don't take very long". I responded with "neither do tea bags" & walked away as someone did 2 high-pitch whistles to get our attention. We did not turn around & respond to their disrespect. Now, I'd love to say we caught them on a bad day. Except in good conscience I cannot. Over a year ago we came in a large party with a reservation & had to wait 40 mins to sit down. That night half our table had eaten before the other half even got food. When my husband received the wrong pizza and we asked for it to be corrected we were told we'd have to pay for it. Now, we never touched the wrong pizza, so why on earth would we have to pay for our corrected pizza? Our server didn't know why, either, just that's what she was told to tell us. So, in summation, if you read other reviews here, as well as other platforms, you'll see that management only replies to 5star reviews because they don't care to read lesser reviews & learn something, local cronies are the ones that get the great service since they know the waitstaff personally, & overall this restaurant just doesn't care about the rest of us. So thank you, Bayside, for being a REAL BACKSIDE & souring the end of what was a beautiful tri-generation day at the beach & ruining a bday party last year. Thank you for forcing my young child to go hungry & end up eating fast food after what would normally be her bed time. Thank you for reminding me that just because people have a reason to be awful (COVID, life stressors, etc) doesn't excuse their behaviours. Thank you for teaching me to say "enough is enough" sooner, so I won't have to drive home with tears in the eyes of those I love most because they felt so humiliated & invisible by the treatment of your indifferent staff & management. The food is acceptable, the beer is par for the course if you have a man bun and are looking for an adventure in yuppie-ville a subdivision of Craftbeertown. The view is beautiful, the back deck is a wonderful spot after a day on the boat. Watch out for the hostess, I think if she smiled it'd probably kill her. read more

I think this would be a fun place to go and drink, but the food was sub-par and overpriced. There were a lot of flies constantly landing in our food. Not very kid friendly either. Used to be a regular once or twice a month. Went 3 weeks ago. Very disappointed. Wings soggy with oil. An inch in the bowl. Cook said normal it's how the fat renders? Never used to be this way. Especially if baked in a wooden oven its dry and crisp. Ceasars salad used to have prosciutto and lovely chunks of cheese. Now downgraded to bacon bits and no garlic. Service slow. Left them a message on FB. They did not respond. So went across the street last night to Molly & OJ for a consistent meal. read more

these guys rock! great beer ( only 2 brewed in house) but the outdoor patio seating and friendly staff was wonderful. They need more wait staff. waited 20 monutes to roder and 30 minutes for our check, but we were with family and it was a nice day...so wasn't that big a deal. too bad they don't have more beer on tap. read more

Pizzas are great, if you get served within the hour. Great view and cold beer on a hot summer day, but service can be painfully slow.
