I understand it's a process but it seemed very dishonest. They spent over 8 hours. I got so frustrated that I started helping move the furniture around hour 2. But the two guys didn't help. They avoided eye contact. I wouldn't have written a review BUT we had just gotten the new home painted and unfortunately it has to be done again. Scuff marks everywhere, scratches on the walls, broken mirrors and light bulbs, scratched up dented furniture. And our old home floors were completely destroyed. They were new floors we put in. It kind of felt intentional. I hope this isn't anyone else's experience but our experience was awful.

We did a video call so they can give an estimate, we never received an estimate. The movers came to pack move and unpack. They didn't know they were supposed to be packing/unpacking. I had to call and confirm instead of them. They left my front door wide open and never turned the gate back on so if I hadn't gone back for cleaning supplies my door would've been left open over night. When I told the only guy who spoke English he said "I wasn't the last one out" no apologies just a lazy answer. They never unpacked properly. I started unpacking the kitchen, so they had an idea of where things went. They didn't try, they just unpacked random stuff and threw it in places. Appliances were disassembled which could have easily been put together. My cake stand was in two thrown on the counter top with a box over the glass in an unsafe manner. They said they were scheduled to come back tomorrow and when I called to complain about how the place left they said the job was done and I should've said something before they left. I told them they should leave instead of waiting for me to return after picking up my daughter they told me had to pay. Which understood I'll pay for the day, but the packing job was not done. These are scammers. It's been a long time since I dealt with a business like this but this one beware.

I dodged a bullet not working with this company. -------------------------------------------------------------------- I just called for a quote. I felt that the quote was reasonable for 3 movers. Unfortunately, the company was simply inflexible about the move time. They refused to accommodate a 2 hour window. I live in an apartment and we have to reserve the freight elevator. We can only book it for 2 hours. 150 movers will do 8am-10am moves or 11-3p. They will not do 2 hour increments after 10am which obviously would not work for me. It is a shame because. Most people moving from apartments, need to book a freight elevator. The person that I spoke to was courteous and professional. I just wish the company was more collaborative. Ah well, there are other companies.

When they arrived, they got straight to work. We were surprised by how fast they were able to move everything! They each were professional, polite and efficient. We have a tight spiral staircase in our new house, which is a pain to get furniture up. They kindly moved a whole office up the stairs without hesitation or complaints! We appreciated this because we know how much of a hassle it is to move up those stairs. They also were very careful with our items, they wrapped all the items that needed wrapping and carefully loaded and unloaded our stuff. Nothing was broken or damaged during the move. They were able to move 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an office and a kitchen in 3 hours (including a 20min drive to our new house). We were impressed by how quickly they got this done! The pricing is extremely reasonable. I feel that the quality of service was worth even more than they charged! On top of the lack of follow through, a few days after posting the initial review, my bed collapsed in the middle of the night. After coming to and realized what happened, I looked and the platform was installed upside down and the supports never tightened. It's fine if you don't want to assemble things, but A. Don't advertise that you will and B. If you don't assemble it, do not put the mattress and box springs on it so that it looks ready to use! I've now spent double what it cost to move replacing and fixing things they broke.

I used Great Movers July 16, 2022 to move about 80 boxes, a table, and 2 shelves. (This was a 1 bedroom on the first floor move, however I lost everything due to water damage in the apartment. So I had very little to nothing to move. I hired movers for the 3 pieces of furniture I had being too heavy for me to move) Loading the truck with my items took them 2.5hrs, when I was located on the first floor and less then 10ft from where the truck was parked. All the items where in the living room, as I tried to help make the load up a smoother and easier process for the men. For whatever reason this still took them that long to load up. When trying to ask what was taking so long, the men would ignore me. Once it came time for final payment, I was shown the charge, provided my card and signed. I asked if I could get what was just shown to me, I was told that it would be emailed. Then the Hellman quick lit locked his phone and went to the truck. When I received my invoice via email, I noticed the charge was different then what I signed for, when I provided payment. They charged me an additional $294.72, when further looking at the invoice, the time was edited, I was charged for boxes, tape, and shrink wrap (none of which I used, as all my items were packed up, taped, and shrink wrapped by me) and none of this was shown when I provided payment. When reaching out to dispute this, I was told that "all moves are different and can take time due to many different factors". They could only offer a $50 credit. Which is a slap in the face considering how much money they took from me. They stole, edited the document after I signed, and took advantage of me. I strongly believe this was done because I am a single female and the men moving thought they'd be able to take advantage of me. They will not give me back the $291 that they stole from me, because I do not have proof of them editing the time, and not using their tape, boxes, and shrink wrap. Stating that since I have "signed" for it, it is valid. What I signed for when they left to when they edited the invoice are two different thing. I will never use or recommend Great Movers! However, I will tell everyone how they take advantage of single females!!
