I'd give 10 stars if I could! I called this company after an earlier attempt to contact a different company, which was likely a franchise. Mike from Baymeadows Express answered my call 15 mins before close of business for the weekend and was very willing to accommodate my request (which was ridiculously short notice, urgent for our timeline). Within 10 mins, Mike returned my call with a plan to support our request. He showed up with his team in the morning and completed our move. Moving really depends ok the guys that are dispatch. I would say one of the guys on the crew really shrink wrap my furniture and made it impossible for anything to happen. I don't like there needed to be better communication between the lead mover advising me as the homeowner as to their schedule breaks and so forth. Office staff communicated well regarding pricing. Great customer service! I called the day of for help moving my stuffs from our moving truck to my 2nd floor apartment. My husband needed the extra hand because well I need to work out more because it was too heavy for me so I was useless to him. Baymeadows movers were very accommodating! Most importantly they were the only movers that answer right away. He gave me a good quote. Reasonably priced. Our mover Alex was outstanding! We were all set to go with a different company, and with just 5 days notice, we had a crew scheduled for a SUNDAY. This was really amazing to us. The three guys (The three J's) showed up on time after calling an hour ahead to let us know they were on their way. We gave them a quick tour of the house and the foreman did some kind of amazing 3-D Tetris in his head. I was looking periodically to see how they were fitting in all of our weird shaped furniture, garage tools, and different sized and shaped boxes containing 30 years of our lives. The crew used GREAT CARE in the handling of our things. They treated each item like it was a family heirloom. When we got to our new house, they continued to use great care with our doorways, walls, and steps. It was very very impressive. All this for 20% less than the other guys. We were so pleased, we feel like moving again. Okay, maybe NEVER AGAIN, but if we ever do, I hope to use Baymeadows Express Movers again. VERY professional! read more

I used Baymeadows Express Movers and they caused me $1889.52 in repairs because they damaged several items moving them including art and furniture. They told me to have the items repaired, that they were very sorry and that they should have packed them differently. Mike told me to have the items repaired and that they would pay the bills. I did as I was directed. When it was time for them to pay the bills, they told me they didn't couldn't pay me because of their insurance problems and that they were also in process in filing bankruptcy. They did not file bankruptcy and refuse to pay me. They will no longer reply to my calls or my lawyers. read more

No one likes moving, but Baymeadows Express made it as painless as possible for our family. Nicole made scheduling easy and even moved up our scheduled start time for me at the last minute. We moved a three-bedroom condo into a four-bedroom house, and the two gentlemen who moved us were professional, careful and FAST. Rates were very reasonable and they tackled disassembly and reassembly of my son's labor-intensive loft bed with ease. Anyone moving knows how stressful it can be, so finding the right movers, with fair prices and reliability are key. If that is what you are looking for, this place is not it. First I was charged above what was their MAXIMUM estimate, next, they showed up for delivery after 8:30PM, AND managed to break a Smart TV that has yet to be replaced. I understand things happen, but there has been minimal communication and I am still waiting to find out how they will reimburse me. Definitely made this stressful time much more stressful. We had a fairly simple one-hour, two-man loading job on the calendar for a Sunday at noon. I asked for a confirmation to be emailed to me, and that never arrived. But the owner told me not to worry. After I repeatedly confirmed the start time as noon on Sunday, I didn't hear from anybody that morning until I checked in a half hour prior. The owner said another job was being finished and I'd be contacted in five minutes. Five minutes came and went. Then another half hour. At this point it was past the noon start time and the loading crew hadn't reached out. So I had to follow up again. (By the way, all this while, they only knew my zip code, and I had to be the one to remind them that they didn't have my address.) Anyway, after a lot of back and forth, only one crew member arrived, at least an hour late and possibly far more (at this point I forget), but because it was a two-person job, and the second crew member didn't show, they couldn't complete the job. So they rescheduled for 7:30am the following morning (Monday). (Mind you, we were on a tight schedule and everything had to be rearranged in my life to make this even feasible.) At 6:30am on Monday morning I got a text from the owner confirming we were set for 7am. (The wrong time, but fine... at this point I just need the job done and I'm done picking nits.) Then five minutes before 7am I get a call from the owner that nobody showed up for work because of the prior day's football game. So we had to scramble to find a replacement company to get the job done a couple hours later, and thank goodness for that. While I absolutely sympathize for the owner that his workers didn't show up for work on either Sunday or Monday, it doesn't change the fact that I was put in an extremely difficult, stressful situation several times over a two-day period, and that this company dropped the ball in a major way. So I can't in good faith recommend this company, given all the stress they put me through. read more

If you want movers who are fast, reliable, and honest do not use Baymeadows Express Movers. All of the reliable movers from early 2018 must be gone. Because this last experience my wife and I had was terrible. We were quoted a very good deal for the first two hours. However, one of the movers kept taking phone calls the whole time and then they took a break and told us they would use their own time for the break. Instead of being honest and sticking to their word they charge me an additional hour. I had one bedroom no reason why it should've taken 3 hours. I paid a portion in cash and the rest on the card. It was so hot and we were very tired from moving the additional boxes that we didn't want them taking because I didn't want to be charged too much . We went over the invoice when the move was over after they left and realized they overcharged us. We reached out and continue to get the run around. I'Ve reached out via phone and text messages . I am being told its going to be taken care of by the owner. 7 days later and still nothing from the owner. They are very unprofessional. We were returning customers and continued to recommend them to people. We will never use them again and I will continue to let people know how unprofessional and untrustworthy this company is. read more

I used them twice. The first time they were about 2 hours late. I was frustrated but when they showed up, they completed the job without any problems. The second time around, they called me half an hour before my morning appointment time and asked if they can move me to the next morning. My move could not be rescheduled as my uhaul was already booked so I told them I needed it done the latest, that evening. They called in a back up crew that appeared later that evening. Loading help was great, and it was even good conversation throughout the process. The problem came when we made the 2 hour drive to our destination, to see our bookcases fell over and smash many items in front, including vintage heirloom items. Why? Because the rope they tied came undone. I wanted a refund since they were the ones to tie the rope. Their response was they are not rope experts and had there been straps provided it probably wouldn't have happened. I'm disappointed because I trusted them to do a good job, they should know how to tie a rope. If they tied it properly my items could have been saved. The take away is always check for yourself that everything is in order because the experts don't always get it right. Also if you book them, they over book customers and there is a good chance they might be late. read more

We were given a quote. We were given a time. They knew what they had to move. The day came for the move. Then began drawn out back -and- forth communications delaying the appointment time. Many reasons were given for the delays. They gave the impression the movers would still come, but they didn't. Ultimately they cancelled the appointment. We were in a tight time schedule due to a closing, and needed the job done quickly. We were told the movers were delayed on a previous job. Fine, but don't keep saying they'll be there, and then don't show at all. Not professional at all. Not recommended. read more

Worst company ever. Had them move my belongings. They broke several items and then gave me bogus insurance information. After getting a lawyer to help me pursue my claim we discovered that they had closed their office. They don't carry proper insurance and will lie if you ask otherwise. Worst company ever. read more
