They ruined my sofa, I thought they put furniture on top of padding so it doesn't get grease on the fabric? Black grease on the side of the sofa. Second thing, they were suppose to bring a 3 man team and ended up with 2. More time it takes, more money. At the end, at bill paying time they took off $25 for the third person not showing! Thirdly, they sure chat up with my hubby. Hmmm, more time, more money. The time sure stretched out. Finally, that I know of right now, they put boxes wherever! I clearly had each box marked as to which room it goes. They would also ask me, I finally started saying "what's the box say?" Moving is stressful as it is, I would know, I've done it every two years most of my life (military). This was pretty stressful. I also tipped generously because I know moving "stuff" is not easy. When I move again, because I get restless in one place, I may have to find a different moving company.

Their prices were very reasonable and I felt good about our discussion so I booked right then despite the fact that I planned to contact a couple more places (he was my 2nd call). The two movers who performed my move were friendly, efficient, and did a great job. I hope I'm not moving again any time soon, but I will happily use COM again if needed.

I asked her if they were able to fax something for me and with a friendly and happy response said yes we h can help you with that. During the transaction, Tori engaged in conversation while ringing me up and waiting for the final verification that the fax went through. She wished me a good day and thanked me for my business. My family member had to reach out to me to let me know that they never received their package, and at this point, it had already been two weeks. When I check the tracking number via USPS, they stated that the package was never received from UPS, where I dropped it off at this location. After going up to the UPS store, I was informed that there is nothing that they can do about this package and that it will just arrive whenever it does. I was not able to get a refund or any real resolution to this problem, which this store is at fault for. In addition, the assistant manager promised a call back with more information, but I have yet to have a call back. She has my tracking number, phone number, and everything needed, so it is no excuse. Please give me the contact information to speak with corporate about this experience. It has now almost been a month and my package is nowhere to be found.

Anyone can make a mistake, but what seperates good companies from bad is how they handle their mistakes. Blaming others and deflecting blame is NOT how to handle a mistake. FYI- of the "Other movers" that have quoted me; 2 of the 3 have more positive reviews and more years in business than "Fair & Square" have. I have moved 13 times in over the past 16 years and have some experience with avoiding "bad moving companies". I also have heard the stories of the nightmare situation he described when an inexperienced moving company backs out on the day of the move. However, anyone with common sense seeks many quotes from companies that have been around for many years with hundreds of very good reviews to mitigate the risk. But nothing is 100% and companies do make mistakes as Fair & Square obviously did. What I cannot abide is a company who takes advantage of the poor people who have not done their research and get the "Morning of move" call to back out. Regardless, I and sorry to hear the bad choice Fair & Square made compounding a simple quoting error. The shame is that this could have been me re-rating them to 4 stars if they had just admitted their quoting mistake with a simple apology, hell everyone makes mistakes! Their 1 star rating here is well earned in this case. That does not mean they are evil or bad, they just made a mistake and then had a hard time admitting it- it's really that simple!

We were way overcharged and I highly doubt the accuracy/legitimacy of the charges, including $1000 for packing materials!! All of our things were already packed, so this was solely for some bubble wrap & tape for the furniture padding. In hindsight, we should have picked a larger, more upfront moving company or just done the entire thing ourselves. If you do use this company, have them come out BEFORE moving day to give you a full estimate. That way you still have time to change the moving company that you use, if need be. In addition, he demanded all of the paperwork had to be signed before the information was completely filled out. Work would not be done without full payment and the forms signed. This was true both for loading & unloading. We had multiple items damaged during the move, including a piece of furniture that my husband specifically asked them not to use tape on (sure enough, the tape peeled off all of the wood finish). There is also a chair that has a huge stain & indent on it now. This was pointed out to Indrek before he left and he downplayed it (nope, it wouldn't come out no matter what cleaning agent was used). They assembled our bed wrong and lost some of the screws - we had to take it completely apart & buy new screws to put it back together. They also damaged the walls at our new apartment - there are multiple spots that we had to patch and repaint because of scuffs, scrapes, & dents. The third party they use for their damage claims is an absolute joke as well.

First of all, while other companies replied back through Yelp, Scott was the first one to be like, "We need to talk IRL." So he called and we discussed my needs and what services he had to offer. He sent over his insurance information and a questionnaire to be completed so that he could write out the contract. I received an electronic copy of the contract prior to the arrival of the movers and a paper copy was made available for me to sign upon their arrival. Did I mention that this was all within a few hours of closing? Did I mention that this was for a next day move? This man is an organized machine, I tell you. Following the move, he sent the electronic receipt for payment and I was able to submit an electronic payment (with a small convenience fee tacked on) after the movers left. The two guys showed up EARLIER than expected (I know, right? That NEVER happens!) and immediately got to work wrapping and moving furniture as I finished packing (yes, because I'm a lazy slacker). They moved the furniture, delivering everything as best they could. There were only a few minor cosmetic issues with a few items delivered. Overall, they did a phenomenal job with what they were given to work with. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a reputable company that does business in an organized and professional manner.

It is 59 cents a mile and you must be sure to fill it back up before returning Van. I also accidentally got on the Sun Pass hwy, so I don't have a Sun Pass account yet. I am sure they will slam me(UHaul)for charges when they get those as well. I sure DO MISS MY OWN TRUCK! At the end of the day, I tried to do my check on online. They say it is simple. It would not let me register the odometer mileage. They were already closed for the day. I ended up paying right at $100.00. Check prices at other places like Lowe's for rentals first. The lady that worked there was very nice when we rented the van. Can't say much for the company though. MAYBE, I better buy another truck!

    Constantly raising rental price yet never performing maintenance to building. Been there for…read moreprobably a year now and they had both the front and back garage doors broken for several months. The rear door remains broken. Basically anyone with a bolt cutter could go in there and take anything they wanted. A few times I asked when the repairs would be performed and they said they would be fixed next week. The most recent time i visited the elevator was flashing a light that said "elevator communication failure." They also removed themselves from Google reviews because of the tremendous amount of negative reviews.
