We took our RV tanks to the location and were quickly met by Samantha, a great woman working to fill them. She was good at getting us our propane and was friendly and knowledgeable. Although refilling propane tanks is occasionally necessary in an RV park, I've never liked getting them filled. We will return to BayGas Propane because of our experience, Samantha's friendliness and professionalism, and the reasonable cost of the propane. I have visited this particular Ace 3 times within a week (including calling them once) and have been met with the nicest, most helpful individuals. At Home Depot and Lowe's, I can NEVER FIND anyone to help me. In addition to their super friendly employees, Ace has items IN STOCK that Home Depot and Lowe's never do. Literally, ANYTHING I want is out of stock OR not even carried at the Pearland HD. The one small issue I had recently was that I was recommended a product by an employee that ended up NOT being the right product for my project. I ended up calling the particular product helpline and they issued me a full refund on the wrong product and told me what I needed. Coincidentally, ACE carried the right product I needed since HD was, big surprise, OUT OF STOCK. %#+* As for prices, I don't know how all things are across the board but for my particular needs recently, they seemed somewhat to be comparable to the big box stores. BUT- for one particular item, I checked on Amazon and Ace (since Home Depot didn't carry it... WTF). The item was $2 more at Ace. (See included picture). So, despite a possible price increase on certain items, I'll still shop here over HD. Friendly staff, in stock products. Thumbs up. Please build an ACE store in Shadow Creek. I don't like driving across town to come here.

I asked why since it made things convenient. She said the manager got mad at her when she did it previously. They wanted to know what size tank I was filling first. I pointed at 15lb tanks on the wall behind her to let her know of size. She asked the manager, Robert, but he said they need to fill first. The change in policy is no longer convenient. If I have to go into the store multiple times to just have a propane tank refilled, then I will take my business elsewhere. Everywhere else you pay first and they refill and then you are on your way. Lowe's, Academy and other sites are now more convenient. I would go by to help out the local hardware but now I will just go to the big chain stores since this policy has changed.

I spoke to the office manager ( I think her name was Peggy) , and explained we are usually filled directly over our 4 ft fenced yard. They pull around the back of our house ( still on our property as we are on acreage), and reach over the 4 ft fence to fill. She told me it was $125 fee to safety check, to which I agreed. Then she told me she would have to send someone out to see if they would be able to fill it first, due to having to pull in behind our yard fence through our pasture . Again I explained, we are on acreage.. and our home and land are built up where the butane tank is. I honestly felt like I was supposed to beg her to have someone come out to our house. We are 6.2 miles from this business. It should not have been a huge ordeal , like these ladies made it out to be. I was transferred back to Shirley, and I asked for a time frame of when someone would come out. She was rude and talked to me as if I was ignorant, and said "well it's definitely not gonna be today." I was taken back, but just responded with that's fine. I'm not in any hurry. I just need a heads up, as we own a business, and I need to be home to open our gate and show them everything. Shirley said that someone would call me when they were en route to our house. plenty of heads up there. I agreed, but had a bad feeling about it... so I called another company immediately. While I was on the phone with the other company, Peggy called me once again and asked me to return her call. I returned the call to be told that she had her field guy look at our house on a map, and they definitely won't be able to service us. I told her that was fine because I had actually just called another company anyways. Our home isn't new. It's 22 years old. Nobody has ever had any issues filling up our butane tank. I added a picture of how far they would have to reach over our fence. Also, their safety check fee was three times what the next company is actually charging me. I don't really care about the cost honestly, but I do care about how they treat customers and they are a huge disappointment in customer service.These people were downright rude, and not accommodating at all. I would definitely look elsewhere if customer service is important to you. They refused to even send anybody out, after looking at our address on a map.

Our residential tank ran out of propane just hours before a winter snow storm was coming to Houston and we were not a current customer but when I called and expressed my concern for my kids and the storm, they were quick to tell me they would do their very best to fit us in today. Within minutes, they had a service contract emailed to me and then added me to the schedule for the day. They not only arrived within hours in the same day but were able to tell me what needed to be repaired but was able to fill the tank to get me through the storm until repairs were completed. Green's Blue Flame will be our service provider from now on. We are so thankful they were able to get us through the storm. We highly recommend them for any residential service.
