LOL I checked YELP for the closest one to my location that had great reviews and checked this place out. There were no other customers when I arrived and the store was clean and cute. They have a little sitting area to eat or drink your sweets. There were two staff working and the young man who helped with my order wasn't friendly at all. I smiled and he kept that same smug on his face, LOL. I asked him did he ever smile and he said yes but it was just a long day. I get it but when you're working with the public, please wear that phony smile and provide great customer service. I was only in the store about 5 minutes if that so a smile back is harmless. Now to the bowl, I ordered the pineapple/mango acai bowl that was delicious and a little different from the standard bowls I usually get. However, it was very hearty and I was able to eat some now and save some for later which I love. I will return and check out some other menu items.

She let me taste it before pouring it into a cup, in case I wanted any adjustments (which I found to be a really nice touch.) I loved the smoothie it was really good. It wasn't too sweet and you could taste all of the different components. I also got the cold and flu immunity shot. It was so cold and refreshing. It consisted of ginger, lemon, and cayenne. I definitely recommend trying both. You can create your own juices, smoothies, and salads. There are so many different flavors for patties and empanadas. I'd say it's steadily improved over the years i've been going there. They've gotten more efficient and the line moves a lot faster than it did when i first started coming many years ago. Also the Fish and Akee patties are my 2 favorite. I really like the tasty healthy options and i end up passing them a lot on my way to brooklyn or queens since they are right by where the cross island, belt and souther state parkways all intersect. Definitely have to check it out. The ambiance is very peaceful although its mostly a take out spot there are a couple chairs and 1 table for the few times i've had to sit for a sec to send and email while waiting for my smoothie. All around i really rate this place highly and look forward to continuing to be a customer for years to come. Oh and they also have seamoss gel for your smoothies at home.
