We have had our home for great many years, looked at how we might be able to refresh the outdoor area for the past few years but stopped short of getting some ideas from various designers that we worked with. Its very hard for us to visualize the end results so we always stopped and wondered what it would look like and never started construction part of it. We saw an ad from Bay Scenery and visited their site and saw their portfolio, they seemed to use a lot of 3D renderings that looked great.  Contacted them and after a short visit by one of their project managers, we asked to go and see one of the sites that they have done renderings for to see how good were the end results vs what they designed and rendered. We were amazed when we visited one of their client sites, the rendering was as if it was a picture that was taken from the site.  Contacted them back and went through a design process that took about 2.5 months from beginning to the end but they were very much willing to work with my wife and I to make updates and adjustments as we needed them. Some of that time was probably caused by us being very picky but they helped us get where we wanted to be.  Construction crew is amazing, they are courteous and very much skilled in what they do.  They were at the project every day from 8am to 4pm until the project was finished. I have been wanting to do a new ADU build for my backyard for a while so that the older parents would have a place to stay in a few years. Have been going around and talking to a few architects and initial fees were in tens of thousands of dollars which seemed excessive considering that the entire ADU cost to build would be not more than $350K which was my budget. It seemed silly to pay 15% to 20% of that budget towards architecture work. Talked to a neighbor who has one built and they said look for a design and build company, they do it all. They did refer me to their builder however they were not taking a new client and their builder suggested I talk to Bay Scenery as it is both design and build and they apparently did the design for this other project as well. Talked to them, the process was really smooth and easy in 2 months I had my design completely done and in my hand. They did excellent job with the whole process. We are now in the permit phase with the city that could take a bit of time but wanted to give these guys at Bay Scenery an A+ for their design process and their team. When we get to the build after the permit I will probably do an update as well but i have no doubt that they will do fine as they gave me a few of their clients to talk to and they were all happy. were introduced to Bay Scenery by a colleague who had them redo their entire backyard. While their construction was ongoing we visited a few times and were impressed by the quality and speed that the Bay Scenery team worked so we hired them. our project was a bit more complicated as we wanted to add a pool, build a BBQ kitchen around it and also add an ADU next to the pool. We thought we might need to work with multiple contractors but it turned out that Bay Scenery team could do all of it as they are a GC, a Pool Builder and also a landscape contractor. On top of that they have a delightful inhouse design and architecture team that is simply pleasure to work with. we started with a great design process, very collaborative and transparent, it took us about 2 months to get the design done which probably took that long as we had great many ideas and Bay Scenery team was more than happy to work with us to figure out what would be the best option. Once the design was completed, it took them about a couple of weeks to get all the numbers together for us, we also asked 3 other companies to bid as well. Bay Scenery was not the cheapest nor the most expensive of the bids and we felt very comfortable working with them as they did our entire design so we hired them. Needed an elegant yet simple design for our house and decided to look around and interview a few companies. Started with Architects & Designers and sadly did not find one that was able to meet both our budget and expectations as how to go about the project. We both work and don't have much time to manage various contractors and designers and wanted a one stop shop. One of the design build companies we interviewed was Bay Scenery. Their management team met with us on site and we did a walkthrough on what we wanted, they provided us with a great plan of action that included all elements that we were looking for. Their design team would work with us for the design, they will coordinate with third parties for other things needed for permitting like Civil and Structural Engineering and even file the paperwork at the city. Their design team was very patient with us and accommodate us based on our busy schedules, took us to sites to see materials and helped with every aspect Permitting took a bit of time, no fault of them its just that our city is a bit tough to get permits in but they worked through it. Their build team were great, consistently on the job every weekday, very professional and courteous and got the job done working non-stop. Been waiting to get some indoor and outdoor work done for our house. Problem has been that most contractors are just that, contractors so I would have to go find a designers and architect to do the plans first and also since this was both indoor and outdoor it would be more than likely two contractors, one for inside the house and one for landscape construction that I was not looking forward to have to deal with. A friend recommended Bay Scenery as they built a house in his neighborhood. I approached Bay Scenery and asked if I could talk to the owner of that house as a reference before we start work and they arranged it without hesitation. Needless to say the owner was very happy with the work that Bay Scenery has done and showed me around the project. We started working with their design team, they have 6 full time designers and architects on staff, the process for design was smooth and very collaborative  They helped with the coordination of various services such as Structural Engineering and Soil Engineering and without much headache we were able to pull the permit. Their construction crew and their project management engaged immediately without delay and within 3 months the project was completed. They worked 5 days a week non-stop on our project until it was done.  All I can say is that they get it done, and get it done right. read more

We had a design completed by another designer and have been shopping around to find a suitable builder. Have had a hard time finding one that would take on the project as they were all busy. Finally found two that were interested one was Bay Scenery. They have had good reviews on multiple sites so we contacted them, within a few hours we had Nadine from their office reach out to us and start the process. After a site visit by one of their managing partners and his team, they pulled together a very detailed proposal for us that was not just a text and a number but line by line, a lot of details about each tasks and subtask of the project.  They were a bit more expensive than the other company but since they have put so much detail in their proposal and we did a reference check and all came back great we went with them. They started project in 5 days after we signed the contract which was amazing (most companies told us months before they can start) and they finished the project within 4.5 weeks, every day their team was here and they left the job site clean every single day. On Fridays they even clean the site more knowing we might want to spend time outside. Very good company, organized and very skilled construction crew. read more

we live in San Diego and our old friend who used to live in Bay Area recommended we work with Bay Scenery Design for our new home. They are a design and build but when we reached out to them, they said they worked with many out of area builders and do their designs as well so we got started. This review is for their design team, the build was done by a local builder as Bay Scenery does not have a branch here. Their design team is very proactive with a level of service that we have not seen before. Working with their head of design team we had arranged several meetings both on site at our new house location as well as through zoom calls, it did take about 4 months to develop the outdoor plans. Our home architect worked closely with them to make sure they were in Sync as well. Their design team is one of a kind and they started to do some out of state unique design works. If you are in the bay area you are all set but if you are not, you might get in touch with them as well, but make sure you have your own local builder as they cannot build outside of Bay Area. I was referred to Bay Scenery by a neighbor who worked with them for their pool remodeling as we were thinking of building a new pool for a while. They are a very responsive company and customer service oriented, emails are promptly answered, meetings scheduled using calendaring system and all. They also have a design studio in Mountain View that we visited often during the design process. Our designer's name was Paniz and she was amazingly creative and knowledgeable. We had a few ideas we wanted to try to see what it will look like near the pool with a pergola and a BBQ place and she would try different layouts and do a 3D model and present it to us in record time which enabled us to make decisions along the way as we were doing the design. Once the design was completed, they rendered the project for us to get a better visual presentation and are now working on the permit process. Clearly a great company for design and we are excited to start with them the build part as soon as the permit is done. Everyone around us told us it will be stressful and expensive process to get this design done, working with Bay Scenery and Paniz it was neither stressful nor expensive. Harris had the most competitive bid and the clearest translation of our backyard vision as formulated by our Landscape Architect. Ian Harris and his crew did a fantastic job realizing our hopes for our new yard. The elements to be covered were diverse, including demolition, hard and soft scape, arbor and planter construction, spa, fountains, specialty BBQ/planter surround construction, and more. Everyone involved was professional, creative, knowledgeable, hardworking, communicative, flexible, skilled - just generally excellent! We wanted a low maintenance, yet elegant front yard and had a few inspirational ideas that we passed on to Bay Scenery team. A couple of meetings with their design team members and we were able to get the first draft to review in about 4 weeks which was a bit long but well worth the wait they have a number of designer that work with them and they collaboratively bring together ideas that are very unique Their construction team is very skilled and take pride in what they do. Uniformed, very courteous when they are on the job site and clean the site every day before they leave  They started out project in about 7 days after we signed the contract which was great and in 5 weeks they delivered an awesome front yard.  Very organized company, rely heavily on technology, all of their team members including the foreman on the job are very responsive to emails even over the weekend. We have been looking for a pre-engineered ADU for a while, there are many in the market. One thing many don't realize is that when an ADU is installed or constructed in the backyard, pretty much most of the backyard is destroyed during the process. As we talked to a few , we quickly figured out that they only care about doing their ADU installation and the rest was by us. We found Bay Scenery from the Boxabl website as they are the local installer for their ADUs. Boxabl is getting famous due to their unique ADUs but finding installers who can do design as well as installation is rare. We hired Bay Scenery to do a complete design for your backyard considering we are getting the ADU installed from Boxabl, the process took about a month and was very collaborative. The Boxabl ADU comes with almost all permit files that you need, Bay Scenery did the site work (Utilities, slab ..etc) and did the complete installation. its been a couple of years since we had Bay Scenery work on our project, we had a few other projects in mind and contacted them. A small addition to our kitchen (Expanding it out) and also wanted to put a mechanized Pergola on our patio that they build last time for us. Their design team worked with us to figure out the kitchen expansion and their drafting team worked on all permit work and when done their construction team immediately started on the project and stayed with the project until it was done. Next project for us is an ADU we will need to save a bit of money to do that probably next year but started discussion with them already. The design took about a month, their design and architecture team is great lead by Behdad a very talented architect. We had multiple reviews with Behdad and his team leads and in about a month we had our design plans finalized. Bay Scenery estimate for the build after the design was very reasonable and after we accepted the build proposal they started within 3 days and their construction team lead by Rafael started the project. I needed to get a complete property remodel and refresh my landscaping. For the backyard we focused on having one of them mechanized louvered pergolas and contacted one of the manufacturers (outdoor elements) in San Diego, they have cool looking products they put me in touch with Bay Scenery that is their local installer. Bay Scenery was super easy to work with. They came and scanned the property with their LIDAR system and then build a model and did the entire design, the process took about 1.5 months and soon after we started with the build. their build team is great, super polite and they know their work. Contact was easy on the site and a few hours later they setup a time for on site visit Their design team is great but very busy so it took a bit of time for our design to be done but they kept us in the loop They have a fairly large construction team and were able to start the project within one week after we signed the construction agreement.
