Antonio and Salvador put in concrete borders (with rebar) to stabilize the path edges and contain the base rock, carefully fit and aligned the pavers, mortared in the outside (sailor) courses, precisely cut pavers to fill in irregular places in complicated parts of the path, and vibrated in polyermic sand as a final step to prevent washout and minimize weed growth. Also, communication with Torres management (Gerardo and Graciela) has been excellent throughout the project, to make sure that costs were carefully scoped out and that we would be happy with the finished product. Considering the quality of the finished product, the cost was quite reasonable. I could not be happier with their work, and highly reccomended Torres Landscaping!

It was over 3500 sq ft of lawn and irrigation, as well as concrete fixes around other parts of our property and pool tile repair. I chose them because they had the best strategy to combat the problem, even though they weren't the cheapest quote we received. I wanted the fix to last long term, not just hold me over for a year or two before another gopher invasion destroys our yard. Everything was extremely professional and delivered to contract specifications. We were extremely happy with the results. They had to move a portion of our fence to get the big equipment in but you wouldn't even know it had been moved because they were total pros putting things back. When we asked for additional scope of work (a French drain), they were quick to get back to me with a quote and incorporating the additional work didn't push out the timeline. All in all, highly recommend and we'll definitely use them again for our landscaping needs.

I have a telephone pole nearby with a number of wires servicing the block and they accidentally severed my internet and a neighbor. The foreman notified me and so did the home office, right away. My yard was in awful shape. It was an unsightly patch of mainly hard, brown dirt that wrapped around the perimeter of my house, punctuated with mounds of loose dirt kicked up by gophers. I wanted to transform my yard into an attractive garden but didn't know where to begin. Working with Ben, a landscape architect Noah recommended, we came up with a beautiful design that worked within our budget. The plan called for, among other things, installing a new irrigation system, a small lawn area, several trees, dozens of plants, and a pathway that wrapped around the yard. The project took four weeks to complete, and my wife and I are elated with the results! We now have a beautiful, inviting yard. Even our neighbors have offered passing compliments. From the very get-go, we had no doubts that Machtinger Landscaping would do a stellar job (as they did with our French drain). During the project, Noah often came to our house and briefed us on the progress, answered any questions we had, and made sure his crew had all the necessary tools and supplies so that there would be no delays in the work. Along the way, we even had Noah help us replace a broken fence and add three wooden steps to a sloped area of the yard (not part of the original plan), which he dealt with promptly. There are 3 big projects for which we contracted with Zarco Landscaping, because they continually performed above and beyond on the work. The first project was for a room that would flood when it rains. The team at Zarco quickly diagnosed the problem as poor gutter placement and cracks in concrete on the floor above, and they worked rapidly to connect a new sewer system and rebuild our concrete walkway. There has been no more flooding. The second project was to improve the terrain and usability of our backyard, which is on a hill that was very difficult to navigate. The Zarco team completely transformed the area, building stone steps and leveling the land with premium soil, mulch, and stone. Please see the attached photos (we wish we had before pictures, but it was all dirt and invasive plants before on a steep incline)! Lastly, our third project had to be done rapidly after the recent storms in the bay area. We needed three very large and dead trees removed that were at risk of falling on our house or the street.
