Our room was large and has three beds. This was perfect for me and my two teenagers. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub. There is no breakfast. They have coffee and granola bars available for free. The carpets were dated. The hallways were dark. Reminded us of The Shining. The hot tub was very small. One of the lights had fallen out of the pool and was laying on the bottom of the deep end. We only paid $139 per night. Off season prices. We would stay here again. But I am not sure I would want to pay extra summer rates for a hotel that needs some updated.

To me, a cotton quilt, great walk-in shower, shades and windows that worked without problems and Puffs tissues (instead of the cheap stuff) were all welcome amenities. The area offers so much too. Great restaurants and shopping, water nearby. We took the Mt. Washington sunset cruise and drove to the Wright World War ll museum and have had nice massages at the Cascades. All in all, this is one the nicest of all the many B&B's we've visited.

Our room was beautiful, immaculately clean, had a lovely view of the lake and the bed was very comfortable. There is SO much to do onsite: Guiseppe's Ristorante had wonderful pizza and menu with live guitar music and later DJ/dancing, Waterfall Cafe for a great breakfast or lunch. The Cascade Spa onsite looks wonderful. Also other dining spots in walking distance at their sister sites: Lago, Lakeouse, Camp, etc... The Marketplace on site has lots of shops, bookstore, ice cream, coffee, and we were lucky enough to be there the weekend of a craft festival! There's so much to do in Meredith, a local winery, distillery, theater...they give you The Weekly Innsider when you check in, which lists all of the above and more to do which was a nice touch. The next time we will stay longer. It's a beautiful town as well.

We stayed at Bay Point and the view from the room and porch were wonderful…read more Here is the bad: When we arrived to check in (over 1/4 mile from our hotel/ Bay Point), we were told that "it looks like your room is ready, but we can't reach housekeeping to confirm. Give me your phone number and I will call you when I hear back". We checked after one hour and were told the same thing. When we approached a third time, the same person at the desk said: "I've been so busy, I didn't have time to call you". Many other people were arriving after 4PM and being told that their rooms were not ready yet. There is no staff on site at Bay Point to assist with any issues. The only permanent staff is over 1/4 mile away. We arrived at our room, and the refrigerator was not working properly and the safe was locked. We used the in-room phone to call three different departments that were direct-dial buttons on our phone. No answer. The front desk button was answered with "please hold", which I did for 10 minutes, finally hanging up. I dialed again and the same thing happened. This time I hung up after 5 minutes and then called the hotel using an outside line. That call was answered and within about 15 minutes, the maintenance person arrived. He was wonderful and very helpful. Other issues included that the latch to our hotel room door chain was missing, the battery in our keyless entry for the door died and we were locked out of our room at night, so we had to call the main building to get another service person to replace it (again, he was very nice). We paid $36 per day for a resort fee which really got you nothing other than use of the pool which again was over 1/4 mile away. There was a coffee machine in the lobby, but with no one on site to manage it, the coffee would be gone by 7:30 am. You had to call to get your room made up each day, but again there were issues with getting a phone call answered. We had to call housekeeping because the soap in the shower was empty. Again, the housekeeping person was very nice. Finally, if I had to do it all over again, I would stay at the main inn and never one of the three off-site locations. However, parking there is horrendous. We won't be back.

I am used to a full kitchens with Rci. The only thing that is provided is a mini fridge and a microwave. Not sure if the two bedrooms have a full kitchen. The outdoor hot tub is large enough for 16 people. Beautiful stonework around the hot tub and a great view of the lake. I suggest going in at night when you can see the stars. I didn't realize there was free continental breakfast served daily between 8 to 10. Lots of great choices from cold cereals to eggs. You can eat in the breakfast area, or take back to your room. Plates and utensils are provided. Many different kinds of drinks are available in the cooler. Other than the hot tub, there is a small workout room, sauna, and beach on premises. Each room has a coffee maker with coffee and tea provided. They also provide shampoo, conditioner, and soap. There is an ice machine downstairs for ice coffee or drinks. I would definitely recommend staying here. There are many more activities during the summer than winter. I basically used the week to relax. Overall great experience with Center Harbor Inn. The view alone is worth it, set on a hill overlooking Lake Winnie! There are cottages each with its own grill, porch and parking (separated buildings) and then there is the main building with rooms attached. Because we are such a last minute decision we were only able to snag a room in the main building. It was a lovely room with two beds, air conditioning and clean! The only downside is that there isn't enough "counter space" for things. The bathroom didn't have any it was just a mirrored medicine cabinet in the bathroom and in the room itself, just atop the dresser and a little space on the nightstand which already had things on it. Other than that, there were chairs outside the room to sit outside and enjoy (we did during a rains storm). Also, we were the first room and everyone has to walk by our room to get to theirs as there's just one entrance so while in the room we kept the curtains drawn but it was not bad. They redid the pool evidently and it's a warm saltwater pool and it was so nice! They have plenty of towels and pool toys there along with ability to Bluetooth music. There's a deep end and shallow end. We made some friends at the pool! There isn't much shade just a few umbrellas so you need to get there at the right time. The property is located next to one of the best ice cream spots Kellerhause and there's a trail to walk directly over - this can be dangerous! It's also extremely dog friendly - we met so many cute pups! But surprisingly it's still clean so there isn't any indication of dogs in the rooms and my husband is allergic and he was fine. The room was very well mapped out with the small refrigerator way up front next to the door away from the sleeping area. The bathroom was huge and also well thought out. The shower was fantastic. The size was a pleasant surprise. I only wish we could have gotten the water temperature hotter. The fireplace worked perfectly for keeping the room warm enough that we didn't need to use the heating system with the fan. The balcony is such a nice place to sit and enjoy the fresh air. We loved the Adirondack bar seats. The house keeping crew were awesome. They were so friendly and helpful We went to the Smores making that you had on Friday night. We were the only ones there at that point around 5. The young man overseeing it was very pleasant and talked to us all about the area. We were laughing about toasting the marshmallows because the metal holders were soooo short that you can't get close. That is one thing I would change and get some longer marshmallow holders so you can toast the marshmallows without toasting your fingers. The Camp restaurant in the Chase house was delicious.
