I booked this resort mainly because of location. It was by the lake and closest to the other destinations I had in mind. I only realized later on that Oscar winning movie On Golden Pond was filmed on location around the area. Upon checking in I found out free breakfast was provided at premise 8-10am everyday. I had a great experience with my stay here. Booked through Rci. The accommodations were better than I could've imagined. Easy check in. The staff was kind and helpful the entire week. Beautiful views of the lake and sunrises right from the room. Even better views from the beach on premises. The rooms are very clean and the entire place is kept well. King size bed in our room. I am used to a full kitchens with Rci. The only thing that is provided is a mini fridge and a microwave. Not sure if the two bedrooms have a full kitchen. The outdoor hot tub is large enough for 16 people. Beautiful stonework around the hot tub and a great view of the lake. I suggest going in at night when you can see the stars. I didn't realize there was free continental breakfast served daily between 8 to 10. Lots of great choices from cold cereals to eggs. You can eat in the breakfast area, or take back to your room. Plates and utensils are provided. Many different kinds of drinks are available in the cooler. Other than the hot tub, there is a small workout room, sauna, and beach on premises. Each room has a coffee maker with coffee and tea provided. They also provide shampoo, conditioner, and soap. There is an ice machine downstairs for ice coffee or drinks. I would definitely recommend staying here. There are many more activities during the summer than winter. I basically used the week to relax. Overall great experience with Center Harbor Inn. I was there for three nights in October and it was fine, but didn't knock my socks off. Let's start with the good -- extremely clean, nicely and newly decorated room, lovely lakeside with beach chairs, kayaks, hot tub. I think in the summer, all of this would carry the day and you could have an amazing vacation, especially with kids. Complimentary breakfast was nice and staff very helpful. But here's what I didn't love -- my room overlooked the parking lot and at least half of the rooms are like this. The lake is within view off to the side. But I had hoped to sit on my balcony gazing at the lake, not watching cars come and go. It gave it a motor lodge-feel that I didn't like. Also, while the outdoor spaces are wonderful, there are almost no indoor lobby spaces if you want somewhere to hang out or congregate or read a book. And lastly, if you have mobility issues, you may want to reconsider. There are no elevators and, even if you get a room on the ground floor, there are still plenty of steps to get to the lakeside or hot tub. I don't have mobility issues, but it was still a pain hauling my luggage in and out. Bottom line - give it a try, but know what to expect. read more

My fiancé and I stayed at the Center Harbor Inn for 5 days in February. Our time at the inn was relaxing and oh so peaceful! The highlight was the outdoor hot tub overlooking the lake. I felt like I was in a postcard. The rooms were spacious with a king size bed and balcony, and the bathrooms were modern and clean. 4.5 Stars The first night we checked into a beach level room- King- but it only had one chair inside- we did pull a chair from outside in. No extra little side table which given the temps, and lack of indoor spaces to eat a small moveable side table would have been appreciated. Only one luggage rack so very few places for 2 people to put luggage. These are my main suggestions. The Bed was comfortable. The shower and bathroom were great. The gentleman at the front desk was not super helpful= we went up and asked for a table or another tray to use to eat off of== but the next day we were moved to a 4th floor room and it was incredible! Still could use a second interior chair for cooler evenings- and a second luggage rack- Towels are good quality. Liked the fact that it seemed to cater to Adults only and was nice and quiet for a weekend! Hate to let the secret out for this gem! read more

They very thoughtfully provide everything you need to comfortably live during your time there such as coffee, tea, microwave, refrigerator and toiletries in your room. The rooms are clean and modern. I made reservations for 2 rooms on 12/29/22 for a 1 night stay on 1/5/23. Bad weather was forecasted and a family member became sick. I called to cancel the rooms on 1/2/23. I got a call two days later saying that there was a 7 day requirement for cancellations. They charged me for both rooms! In the dead of winter, with a bad weather advisory posted. I only made the initial reservation a week in advance. Really. I understand the need for a 7 day cancellation in the summer months or peak foliage, but January 5th?!? I'd like the payment for both rooms refunded to me please. read more

We have stayed here three or four times and usually stay for a week at a time. The rooms are a bit smaller than I'm used to in an inn. There is no desk or desk-height table, so doing any work at the computer is difficult. One chair in the room is annoying, too. On the bright side, the staff is friendly, the housekeeper, Shannon, is a sweetheart, friendly and always helpful. The rooms are always clean and attractive. My lady was surprised to find no hair dryer. ("I thought motels ALL had hair dryers!") The hot tub is a wonderful feature. Love it. The fire pit is special. We were offered use of a kyack or paddle boat, too. One time we were in the hot tub when it was snowing. That was special, too. We love this place and will doubtless return as often as we can. There are so many restaurants open nearby in spite of covid. read more

Went a few weeks ago for a weekend getaway. Had the best experience with front desk and even better was the complementary breakfast! was the most grand and yummiest breakfast ever! had lots of options and amazing coffeee! Was able to enjoy coffee in the hot tube that overlooked the lake which was incredible! had the best views from our room too! beautifully decorated rooms and bathroom! went in january but was just as beautifu! walking distance to local restaurant close drive to town. will definitely be coming back again! read more

Great local hotel, it's the only nice hotel on the water in Center Harbor and a reasonably priced alternative to the Mill Falls hotels in Meredith just ten minutes down the road. We were upgraded to an end room with a wraparound balcony overlooking the lake. The hotel features a hot tub, private beach, fire pit, and kayak/paddle board rentals (4 hours free). 4.5 stars. My girlfriend and I decided to stay here a night on our way North to see the Ice Castles during mid January. The Inn is beautiful and our room was clean, warm, and cozy when we walked in. The In-ground hot tub was AMAZING! At one point we were 1 of 3 couples all in the hot tub and there was plenty of room. We had the jets turned up, underwater lights on and the steam was just a big cloud sitting on top of the water. SOOO relaxing. In the morning we were delighted to see an above average continental breakfast that even included cold brew coffee on tap! After breakfast I sat in the sauna, which appeared brand new and heated up quickly. Before we hit the road we looked at prices for rooms during the summer and were shocked to see the price nearly triples from what we paid on a Sunday night during winter. We knew we got a great deal and still may even come back during the summer. My recommendation is to come and stay for a nice honeymoon getaway during the winter. Beautiful views of the lake from our 4th floor room - very clean and looked-like-new hotel. The front desk was very accommodating with and let me check in a little early since my room was ready, without hassle. Solid free continental breakfast in the morning. Lots of other amenities included (jacuzzi access, lakefront access). Not a big/loud hotel. Fits in nice with the lake-feel and has a bunch of stores nearby in case you forgot something. read more

My friend & I stayed here bc we found a Groupon for it for just $89/night. We didn't expect a lot for that price, but when we pulled up we were shocked... a GORGEOUS view (Lake Winnipesaukee w/ the mountains in the background), a very spacious hot tub overlooking that view, a beautiful fireplace on a beautiful lawn/garden on a hill, and a GORGEOUS, modern room with a cozy porch, again, overlooking the view. The ONLY complaint is that when we first walked into our room there was a bag of dirty linens in the corner.. but the rest of the room was SPOTLESS! Also, breakfast is included each morning. I would 100% say here again.. the sooner the better!!! read more

I stayed at the Center Harbor Inn when I attended a wedding in the area. I was told one rate over the phone, but was charged $20 per night more than what I was promised. When I brought this to the attention of the "manager" he was not willing to budge. Their continental breakfast was nothing more than cereal and mini bagels, nothing worth advertising. The room I stayed in was not cleaned during the duration of my stay (3 nights). I advise you to NOT look under your bed, it was quite disgusting- old popcorn, plastic wrappers, yuck. They had a great price $79 per night. The room was OK. The locations was excellent and peaceful. However, the internet was extremely bad so I had to use my own hotspot at my expense. The place could use a few upgrades but it did have a refrigerator in the room. The hallways smelled my my old dentists office which isn't a good memory! LOL The cellphone reception was very spotty at that location so if you depend on cell phones to communicate you might want to test out your carrier there. We use AT&T. All in all a bargain at $79. read more

I've recently book this hotel through Groupon for 2 nights. Between the false advertising and carefully placed photography, don't expect to get what you see nor read. It was a huge dissappointment and not worth the 4 hour drive it took to get here. If I wanted to go to sleep in a dank room that was poorly painted or to walk in hallways that have things like lightbulbs leaning against the wall, I would have crashed with Norman Baits. Do yourself a favor and stay in Plymouth. read more
