Let me separate the two things clearly: The installer/technician was excellent. He did two masonry mounts, worked carefully, and even stayed to help debug a TV issue (Samsung S90C was flashing red and ultimately resolved after the TV recalibrated which took 24 hours itself). His attitude, patience, and effort were genuinely 5-star. The "premium installer" experience from the company was not. The entire job felt built around protecting themselves and upselling, not delivering the premium expertise I paid for - especially on a masonry/fireplace install. The biggest issue: they refused the Samsung Slim Fit mount (the whole point) I specifically wanted to use the Samsung Slim Fit / two-bracket mount for a clean, flush look above a fireplace with stone/masonry. A "premium" installer - especially one charging an upcharge for masonry - should be able to handle a manufacturer mount on masonry (proper masonry anchors, laser leveling, shimming as needed), or at minimum explain exactly what the constraint is. Which he did - it's harder and increases liability as a 2 bracket mount... but that's exactly what we're paying the premium pricing for isn't it? Instead, they pushed me into a generic ONN Walmart brand tilt mount and treated it like the Slim Fit mount was basically a non-starter. That's not "premium." That's taking the easy route and calling it policy. If you're selling a 5-star professional mounting service with masonry upcharges, the expectation is you can execute the mount that comes with the TV - especially the flagship flush mount that many people buy Samsung for. If the real answer is "we won't do Slim Fit mounts on masonry," that needs to be stated upfront - before the appointment and before any charges. Transparency / pricing was even worse Then came the add-ons, which felt like a script on saying its company policy and there is no control: Charged me $75 for a Walmart (onn) mount that costs ~$25 Tried to charge $30 for 'legacy HDMI 2.0b' cables (LOL) Tried to charge $150 for wire concealment even though my wall already has a built-in conduit/pipe from behind the TV to the cabinet. This isn't "concealment," it's literally feeding a cable through an existing path... seconds, not $150. Bottom line The technician deserves praise. The company's "premium" label does not. Premium means: capable + transparent. Here it felt like: avoid hard installs + upsell basics. If you use them, get EVERYTHING in writing beforehand: whether they will install a Slim Fit mount on masonry what mount/hardware you're allowed to use cable pricing (I mean everyone should have their own cables anyway but some of mine weren't long enough) what "wire concealment" actually includes I wanted to give 5 stars because the tech worked hard.
