When the time came to paint, it was short notice and Matt and team were ready. After meeting with Matt again after almost 2 years, he came back and updated the requirements and the team showed up 2 days later as planned and ready to work. They did an exceptional job protecting the floors and furniture as if it was their own. They filled all holes, caulked where needed and a few minor repairs. Overall, I would definitely use Mathew and his team again and would recommend them to anyone looking great painters and workmanship. Thanks Mathew and AFM Painting Team

AFM started out with a "6" rating and if I was allowed to add a decimal point probably would have…read morebeen rated higher, but as such, a "4" it is. When I initially put my Painting Project out on Yelp, Mathew was 1 of the 1st to respond and though I originally had another company in mind, through continued diligent communication by Mathew, AFM ultimately earned my business. Mathew was SUPER communicative up until my job was confirmed and booked and then he kinda' disappeared on me a bit until the morning of my appointment, which though it had me slightly nervous along the way and pushed me to have a Plan B ready just in case, it ultimately just let me know that he is a man of his word, but not going to keep beating you over the head with communications in between time. As my pictures show, 1 part of my project was a mosaic-type piece in my Entryway Hallway and though Mat told me that he'd never done this type of design, he also said that he was confident that his team could get it done and do it well! I have to say that Francisco and his cohort who actually did the work did an OUTSTANDING job...I was and am quite pleased!! The small bedroom that I had done in addition was a layup from a 7-Footer in comparison and they did an outstanding job on that as well! =) After the crew left that night, I noticed a faint orange dusting on my carpet, which obviously wasn't there before, because my original walls weren't orange prior to the project. I reached out to let Mat know and he explained what he thought the issue might be and said that he'd come out by the following Wednesday (In 5 days) to take care of it, via a carpet shampooing or alternate method. Mat actually called the next day and said that he would be able to come and rectify the problem in an hour, if I was home and available (Which I was). He arrived in a timely manner and rubbed what appeared to be some kind of paint-thinning lacquer in the problem areas of the carpet and said that letting it sit about 2 hours and then vacuuming the treated areas should take care of the problem and it did to eyes less discerning than mine - SUCCESS!! Mathews original quote was the 2nd highest of the 5 quotes that I received, but when it was all said and done, it was well worth it. I never signed/accepted my original quote however and in gaining my business, Mathew told me that he'd probably be able to come down on the price a bit, but that was NOT the case in the end. No harm, no foul, as I have some culpability in that hiccup as well, for not confirming the final price before work started. With that being said; Though I absolutely recommend this company, I'd implore you to be clear on a price upfront!!

The second tome around, the quality of work was not the same. They did not arrive at the expected times, were again SLOW and clearly had over booked and over extended themselves. (Was told that the project would be completed in two days, it took 4!!!). They DO NOT want to perp the walls. (It's not within their scope!!) ‍ I'm literally sitting here with family, looked up to see this! Sadly...there are many, many other examples. Unfortunately, they were paid in full. Should you decide to do business with them, be mindful and do a THOROUGH check before paying them. Now, we will have to complete the job ourselves or pay someone to finish. So very disappointed!

They did a great job prepping the brick, siding, and trim around the house. There were a few places that needed unexpected wood repair work that were handled professionally at a fair price. The job was completed as planned even though parts of the the siding needed a third/fourth coat. My wife and I are delighted with the end result and the final price. My house was completely empty…read morewith an open canvas to do a simple solid paint job interior, house paint exterior, to add new tile to laundry room and to fix garage (installation, paint, brick work). I paid her $16,202 and NOTHING in my home was completed 100%, even after having over two months. She erratically jumped from job to job, starting and finishing. She was prepaying workers to do the work for her and they would do a horrible unfinished job and then she would ask me for more money once that worker would ignore her and stop responding since he had already got paid. She lost what she originally told me was 4k of my renovation funds but ended up being 8k from a situation where she was not paying for her rental car and they demanded the car back and withdrew the owed funds from her account. Due to this and lack of funds my job couldn't be complete even though I paid her what needed to be paid and her debt she owe was collected out of her account that contained my renovation funds. She lied and said she bought supplies with the money I sent her but some Major supplies were never bought and/or she will not provide me the order number. She always had another mishap or excuse of why the work was delayed or not done. When I addressed the inconsistencies, problems and frustrations with no one job being complete, she became outrage and start saying she didn't care that I paid her $16,202 and it's her money and it's her supplies. She hired two different people to fix my laundry room I fully paid for but since she kept hiring inadequate cheap people, the job never got completed. After I discontinued her services she started harassing me to pay her guy $600. However, the work was never completed. I offered for him to complete the job for the money as there is a 3 inch gap underneath my laundry room door leading outside, they damaged the laundry room door that connects to the kitchen, the cabinet shelf they removed off the wall- is still hanging off the wall and the cabinets on the other side of the wall were not put back together at all. After failed promises the work was gone be complete I had to let her go. The owner, Melissa stated multiple times she did not give a f* how much money I paid her and that if I don't pay her guy $600 for the unfinished work then she would take out a lien on my house. Once I discontinued her services she also tried to start adding on services fees we never discussed because I asked for my money back. She stated it didn't matter what we originally agreed on for pricing prior to the disagreement and started adding thousands of dollars in made up fees because I asked for my money back and stated I would find someone else to do the work. Since then she keeps harassing me, slandering me, threatening her workers' citizenship and so much more. I have pictures, videos, camera footage and recordings. Civil lawsuit and police reports have been filed. Beware of this business. May be good for smaller jobs but not for big jobs. Not trustworthy and will run off with your money for her own benefit because she stated she couldn't pay her rent, which I also have in text. So much more. It's such a shameful, distasteful situation especially since I was trying to work with her through her unexpected hardship. But instead she damaged my property, stole my money and have sent multiple threats regarding my home and livelihood all because I asked for a refund and fired her.
