I was going through a hard time emotionally and thought I should see about getting antidepressants. I waited for 40 min before Kelly walked in. I expressed to her my emotions and what was going on in my personal life. She asked me if I was suicidal. I said I had thoughts about it but told her I would never carry through with it. I told her they were just thoughts. She asked me if I had plans to suicide. I said flatly no. I said I think I just need meds to get me through this rough patch. I was crying as I told her my story. She was very cold towards me. Walked out and said she would be back. 45 min later a sheriff walked into the room asking me all kinds of questions, then left. I was so shocked. A sheriff wtf?? Next, I am waiting another 45 min! I was getting restless and felt like going to my car (to smoke to be honest). A girl working there said 'are you coming back?' She then said 'Kelly got called to ER and could be a while' as I proceeded to walk out, there was Kelly sitting in the office room laughing with a co-worker. (So that was a lie about her leaving to ER.) Kelly stopped me and asked me where I was going, 'To my car I said' She said 'you're not leaving right?' I sensed something was really weird. I went to my car and while in my car, I saw a different sheriff walk into the building with a wad of papers in his hand. They were going to try to involuntarily commit me! Unbelievable!! I took off and left! I've never been so grateful for wanting to smoke! It saved me! All I wanted was some meds to get through a rough patch in my life (ps. I've never taken meds before. I don't drink nor do drugs.) I couldn't believe that Kelly could go to that length. Having suicidal thoughts is not the same as acting upon it or making a dead set plan. I will never ever go back to this practice in my life. I was left untreated for a simple prescription request. I was almost committed involuntarily to hospital for simply being emotional in front of my doctor. Horrible! Disturbing! Terrifying! This place is dangerous!

When I called to set up an appointment, his very nice receptionist, Desiree told me I needed to stop by and fill out new patient intake forms before I could make an appointment. I filled out the forms over 2 weeks ago and have followed up 2 or 3 times a week to find out my patient status b/c I am starting to run low on meds that I must take daily. Every time I called before today, Desiree told me that the paperwork was sitting on Dr. Baumgartner's desk and to follow up the following week. I called to follow up today and his rude medical assistant, Evelyn answered the phone and told me that I had to be 'accepted' into the practice, even though Dr. Baumgartner was assigned by my insurance. When I asked for a timeline on when that would be, she wouldn't give me an answer! I reiterated to her that I am running low on meds that I must take daily and she told me to go to Urgent Care to get them! When I asked if I could speak to someone else who could help me she told me to go to urgent care again - what a joke!!! It's obvious this Dr. and his staff don't give a crap about their patients if my paperwork has been sitting on the Dr.'s desk for over 2 weeks and they can't help me get meds that I need to take daily in order to live a normal life. I called Blue Shield and filed a complaint about this Dr. and his office - they were very concerned after looking at my medical history and will be filing an appeal on my behalf. I will also be filing a complaint with the state medical board. BTW, I called Big Bear Urgent Care and they would not be able to prescribe any medications to me b/c a) they don't take my insurance and b) THEY WOULD NEED TO GET AUTHORIZATION FROM MY PCP. I will be driving down the hill to see my old docs at Loma Linda University from now on. Avoid at all costs!

The dentist also does an amazing job and makes accomodations to ensure comfortability of patients and their families. He is gentle and very informative and listens to concerns with an attentive ear. The assistant also offers solid advice on preventative care and the hygenist Jennifer is rather kind and compassionate as well. A great place to visit if you are in need. On a side note if you do need a root canal and are on IEHP oftentimes you will be referred down the mountain to Apple Dental Center.

During the call, she repeatedly asked for my name and basic information multiple times, even after I answered several times clearly. The conversation became very confusing, and instead of handling it professionally, she repeatedly said "oh my gosh," laughed during the call, and spoke to me in a rude tone. When she mentioned that my information was not on file, I explained that I was calling because I was a new patient. She responded by saying, "Well, you should've said that before." At that point, I expressed that I felt she was being rude and unprofessional and simply asked for the referral doctor's phone number instead. She then hung up on me. It's unfortunate that someone seeking medical help would be treated this way. Patients should be treated with patience, professionalism, and respect, especially during their first interaction with a medical office. Hanging up on a patient and making them feel mocked or dismissed is unacceptable.

I just went in for a really bad rash on my armpit. The lady was nice until I gave her my name and she looked my account up. She rudely told me last time I was in my visit wasn't covered by insurance cause I was out of network so she's going to have to collect payment up front this time. I said my insurance is California so I am in network. So I called my mom to ask her and my mom is like no you're in network so I asked the lady what it said and she said "all I can tell you is what I have right in front of me and it says that it didn't get covered because you guys hadn't reached your deductible". Out of network and not reaching a deductible are two different things. I said that's fine and she rudely said "I need your credit card" so I handed her my credit card and she still had my ID, so I was waiting at the counter and she goes "umm take a seat" and I said "I'm waiting for my card back" and she said "I told you I need to make a copy of it" and I said "you need to make a copy of my credit card?" And she threw it back at me and goes "here's your card you're so worried about. I need to make a copy of your ID" and I just said "thank you" and went and sat down. After I got done filling out my paperwork I brought it up and then heard her and the other lady taking about me. They said they needed my insurance card again so I brought it to them then sat down. A few minutes later I was called up by another lady and she started talking to me like I was a 2 year old saying I needed to pay for my visit. I said "that's fine I already gave her my card to pay and she threw it back at me" then the other lady started telling me "I need to be an adult" and mocking me. And the other lady said "wow attitude". I said "yes I have an attitude because of the way you just treated me for no reason". While I was on the phone with my mom they both started calling me a child and said I needed to be an adult and grow up and all this stuff. Then the other lady hands me back my credit card and says "have fun at the emergency room. We won't be seeing you" and they both laughed. I am filing a report with the California State Health Board about this incident currently. Absolutely unacceptable. My family has lived here for 30 years and clearly she doesn't like us since she was extremely nice until I told her our last name. To be treated that way in a medical office is insane. As I just went to google to leave a review I see hundreds of posts saying they lie and tell you you're out of network to steal money. Avoid this place at all costs!
