I must update my review on May 12 Tuesday 2026 for a few weeks. I have been suffering from chest…read morepain and pain going down my left arm since I've never smoked and I've always exercised and lived a pretty healthy life. I ignored it stupidly on that particular day I felt the pain was worse than ever and I better go to the ER here to our wonderful hospital. Mountain Community Hospital in Lake Arrowhead. I went there feeling pretty cocky and thinking this will be nothing well once again. I was there approximately 7:45 in the morning and I was just complaining about chest pain and the incredible doctor and nurses took the bull by the horn and recognized the signs and started taking x-rays and what not and I'm saying it's nothing. It's nothing. I'm feeling pain here is there but immediately they saw and recognized issues and me being the stupid person that I am I'm saying no, I have to go to Spain in three days and they were fantastic. I cannot say oh my God how wonderful they were. They took the ball by the horn like I said and they immediately took some test and they said you're going to have to go down the hill to Riverside Community and I just thought that was crazy well fast-forward that was on 12 May a week later I ended up having open-heart surgery yes and I must say they literally saved my life that was told to me several times by the doctors and the cardiologist at Riverside Community. I would've had several heart attacks in Spain or the airplane had I not been at Riverside Community and had my open heart surgery and had a ER at Mountain community done what they did they literally saved my life that entire staff between the doctors and the entire staff between the nurses the radiologist. They are five star all the way we up here on the mountain are so blessed with the entire staff and the doctors they are our angels truly are angels. We need to stop complaining about the stupid stuff and realize how blessed we are to have the staff at Mountain community. They are really the best stop complaining about the stupid little stuff because they saved my life and I bless them every day. I wake up, I was told by my neurologist at Cedar Sinai that 82% of people don't even make it to the surgery table 82% and that would've been me had it not been the staff at the ER at Mountain community. We owe them so much. They are truly my heroes. Thank you so much ER department at Mountain community God bless you.

I've had to use the MCH ER the past 8 days, being an ER visit, coming and going, calling to inquire where I can pick up my records/ xray, and I've never been met with such snotty, rude behavior by the women sitting behind the windows at the entrance of the ER. The 3 women, I've dealt with, in the past week, are extremely rude and snotty. Keep in mind, I've been coming to the ER seldomly over 30+ (thankfully). The RNs are Doctors never have been this way. Those gals need to get some customer service training. They need to take it down a notch.

We had been patients here for quite some time and originally had a positive experience, which is…read morewhy I previously had positive things to say. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this office. Earlier this year, we were unexpectedly billed more than $600 for services that the office had previously indicated were covered by our insurance. When I questioned the charges, I was told the office could not know in advance whether services would be covered, in any type of visit. Regardless of how standard it was. I was informed that the outstanding balance would be waived if my children continued receiving care at the practice through their Medi-Cal. More recently, I brought my child in for a routine well-child visit covered by Medi-Cal. Before the appointment, I was asked to sign a form agreeing to pay for any services insurance might not cover. When I expressed concern and asked how a standard well-child visit could result in unexpected charges, I was told that any service could potentially be denied by insurance and that I would be responsible for the bill. Given our prior experience receiving a large unexpected bill, I was not comfortable signing the form and chose to leave without being seen. The interaction felt dismissive and adversarial rather than collaborative. Now that I have decided to discontinue care with them, I am concerned that the balance would be pursued again. My utmost concern for other families or individuals that come here is the lack of clarity regarding insurance coverage and financial responsibility. Families should be able to ask questions about billing without feeling pressured or made to feel unreasonable for wanting to understand potential costs before receiving care.

I am absolutely devastated and furious about what happened after our recent visit to this…read morepediatrician's office. My daughter was only 3 weeks old and premature when we brought her in. During the appointment, the medical assistant who was caring for her openly told us that she was very sick. She was coughing and clearly unwell, yet she was still directly caring for my extremely young and vulnerable newborn. My baby had been home with us and had not been around anyone else. We were extremely careful about limiting her exposure because she was a premature newborn. Then, just 3 days after this appointment, my 3-week-old baby became seriously ill and had to be airlifted for emergency medical care. I cannot say with absolute certainty that she became sick from exposure at this office, but given that she had been home and had not been around anyone else, the timing is extremely concerning and something I will never forget. I cannot understand why an employee who was openly sick, coughing, and saying she was very sick was allowed to have direct contact with a 3-week-old premature baby. There should be much stricter precautions in place to protect newborns and medically vulnerable children. As a mother, I trusted this office to keep my baby safe. Instead, we left that appointment and three days later found ourselves facing a terrifying medical emergency and an airlift. I sincerely hope this office takes this situation seriously and reviews its policies regarding sick employees. Premature newborns do not have the same ability to fight off infections as healthy older children, and they deserve every possible precaution

When the student PA walked in she introduced herself as her head was turned away from me and she was chewing gum, so I had to ask her to repeat herself which I had to do several times during the visit. Instead of realizing her gum chewing made her impossible to understand, she chewed her gum some more whenever she repeated herself. It is bad enough that she was not taught in school that chewing gum around patients is not professional, but her supervising physician assistant allowed her to walk in to see patients knowing she was chewing gum. She certainly saw her chewing gum when she entered the room I was in. Medical standards are on the decline everywhere. This just accentuates it. BTW, at the beginning of my visit, the medical assistant who took my vitals was wearing street clothes, didn't look like medical staff at all. She did not introduce herself or state her credentials and wasn't friendly. The purpose of this review is not to discourage patients from going to All Valley. I hope that management will improve the professionalism of its staff and any students who rotate there. I'm not hopeful they will even read this review because I see zero management responses to any of the other reviews.

They were extremely busy. I've been there about six times for myself and for my kids. Every time is I have been was perfect. even though there was a kid in the waiting room running around yelling and screaming for 10 minutes. That's just how having kids is. The PA was phenomenal, super chill. Yeah the girls at the front were busy, but you can't give a bad review because someone is working very hard and busy. You have to take everything into consideration all of the circumstances everyone there did a phenomenal job yeah I had to wait in the waiting room for 40 minutes, but that's just how life is. This beats Kaiser any day no matter what the day, you guys were great today. Keep it up.

I understand that people may have stressful days, but when you work in a medical setting, I believe basic kindness, patience, and professionalism are extremely important, especially when dealing with patients who may already not be feeling well. When I came in, there was no one else waiting, so I politely asked if she could check me in. Instead of simply helping me or explaining the process in a friendly way, she responded with an attitude and said, "You see that tablet over there? Just click your name and check in over there." It wasn't necessarily the fact that I had to use the tablet--it was the way she spoke to me and treated me. Front desk staff are often the first people patients interact with, and that interaction can really affect the whole experience. A little kindness and better customer service would go a long way.
